Coordination chemistry education at secondary level schools
Navrátilová, Hana ; Míka, Luděk (advisor) ; Teplý, Pavel (referee)
1 Abstract This thesis deals with the analysis of teaching coordination chemistry at secondary schools. Coordination chemistry serves as a bridge between inorganic and organic chemistry, expands fundamental concepts and encourages students to think logically. Therefore, it has great importance in continuous chemistry education. The work examines the diversity of teaching methods and explains the disadvantages of teaching coordination chemistry, particularly in terms of nomenclature. It explains why this area is important for chemists. The study analyses the teaching of coordination chemistry in university teacher programs, in school educational programs, in model questions for admission exams for chemically-oriented programs in Prague, and lastly, it addresses the approach to coordination chemistry in secondary school textbooks. The aim of this work is to highlight the inconsistency of school educational programs in the teaching of coordination chemistry, why the teaching of coordination chemistry is limited to nomenclature, and the reasons behind it. Keywords coordination chemistry, school curriculum, educational program, chemistry education, secondary school.

Navrátilová, Hana ; Voráček, Josef (advisor) ; Šíma, Jan (referee)
Title: Comparison of fitness centres in Benešov Aim of the thesis: This bachelor thesis aims at comparing selected fitness centres in Benešov. Survey of quality of the services offered here was undertaken by means of the SERVQUAL questionnaire where customers expressed their views on the services provided by the centre, as well as on services expected in their "perfect" fitness centre. This questionnaire allowed for the comparison of the fitness centres and recommendation of certain changes which could lead to an improvement in quality and therefore also to increased satisfaction of the customers. Methodology: Quality of the services was compared by use of a standardized SERVQUAL questionnaire which was submitted to the clients of fitness centres in Benešov in spring 2013. The questionnaire reviewed and compared the expected quality of offered services which in the clients' opinion belonged to an ideal fitness centre, with the quality of services perceived by the clients in individual fitness centres. Results: The results of the analysis of customer satisfaction with the services offered by fitness centres in Benešov imply that the clients are most satisfied with services offered by "S- centrum". This centre has nevertheless also room for improvement, and to achieve full customer satisfaction the...
In vitro biotransformation study of fenofibric acid
Kanavi, Matthildi ; Malátková, Petra (advisor) ; Navrátilová, Hana (referee)
Charles University in Prague Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Biochemical Sciences Student: Matthildi Kanavi Supervisor: PharmDr. Petra Malátková Title of diploma thesis: In vitro biotransformation study of fenofibric acid Fenofibric acid is a hypolipidemic agent that acts through PPARα and contributes to treatment of many types of dyslipidemias. It is the active metabolite of fenofibrate, but can be also administrated by itself. Concerning its metabolism, the majority of fenofibric acid is conjugated with glucuronic acid, while a minor amount yields a reduced metabolite. Reduced fenofibric acid is also an active substance. The identity of the enzymes participating in the reducing metabolic process has not been revealed yet. The current study investigated this carbonyl reduction in human liver subcellular fractions and by the use of nine recombinant cytosolic carbonyl-reducing enzymes of the AKR and SDR superfamilies. Enzymatic activity toward fenofibric acid reduction appeared in both cytosol and microsomes and was found that affinity of cytosol is greater while velocity in microsomes is higher. Of the nine tested enzymes, five reductases were identified to play role in the reduction of fenofibric acid. The highest activity was exhibited by CBR1, followed by AKR1C3, AKR1C2,...
Václav (Remedius) Prutký OFM: Itinerarium missionum apostolicarum (introductory study, edition and translation with commentary on part I of the work)
Förster, Josef ; Svatoš, Martin (advisor) ; Hojda, Zdeněk (referee) ; Navrátilová, Hana (referee)
The dissertation presents primarily the text itself of part of Itinerarium (the first 31 chapters) in the form of a critical edition. It thus greatly eases the work of all future researchers in studying the work in the Latin original. The edition was acquired on the basis of a manuscript autograph, the property of the Franciscan Brothers Provenance in Prague kept in the National Library of the Czech Republic. The Itinerarium ranks amongst the most important works from a file of manuscript sources, the authors of which are members of the St. Wenceslas provenance of the order of lesser brothers of St. Francis, who were active during the course of the 18th century on missions in Egypt or Ethiopia and attained a prestigious standing in the mission hierarchy (Jakub Římař, Remedius Prutký, Kristián Schneider). Their works, which are of a various nature (itineraries, journals, collections of medical prescriptions, language dictionaries, liturgical manuals etc.), may be valuable sources for experts in a diverse range of fields: oriental studies, Egyptology, geography, history, linguistics, literary history etc. With regard to the fact that Prutký's literary work is unknown to the Czech reader and has been presented only thanks to the translation of two chapters acquired in the 1940s by Z. Kalista, it evidently...
Solubilisation, Purification and Reconstitution of Human 17beta-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase type 3

Charles University Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Biochemical Sciences Candidate: Mgr. Tereza Zahradníková Supervisor: Prof. Ing. Vladimír Wsól, Ph.D. Consultant: RNDr. Lucie Zemanová, Ph.D., PharmDr. Adam Skarka, Ph.D. Title of rigorous thesis: Solubilisation, Purification and Reconstitution of Human 17beta-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase type 3 Short-chain dehydrogenase/reductase superfamily is a large group of NADP(H)/NAD(H)-dependent oxidoreductases. Human SDR enzymes are classified into 47 families, including cytosolic and membrane-bound ones. One of them is a human membrane-bound enzyme 17β-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase type 3 (17β-HSD3), which participates in the biosynthesis of steroidal hormones and mainly catalyses the conversion of androstenedione to testosterone. The aims of this study were to find a suitable detergent for successful solubilisation, to purify the enzyme and to prepare a reconstitution system for further study of the 17β-HSD3 enzyme. Microsomes containing overexpressed 17β-HSD3 were isolated from Sf9 insect cells (Spodoptera frugiperda). The first step was the solubilisation process, which involved detergent screening. Six detergents at different concentrations were tested: ASB 14-4, C12E8, DDM, CHAPS, Igepal CA-630 and Triton X-100. The detergent ASB...

Navrátilová, Hana ; Janák, Vladimír (advisor) ; Ruda, Tomáš (referee)
Title: The attitude of the elementary school pupils in Benešov to PE and sport activities Aim of the thesis: The main aim of this Bachelor's thesis is, firstly, to determine through a questionnaire the attitudes of pupils from primary schools in Benešov to physical education and sporting activity and later, based on the results obtained, make comparisons and propose certain changes with the intention of increasing the pupils' interest in sport. Methodology: All the data was obtained through a non-standard questionnaire, which was prepared for the purpose of this thesis. It predominantly contained closed and semi-closed questions. Only one question was open. The questionnaire was intended for pupils in the second grade of primary school. In addition, an oral interview, supplementing the written questionnaire, was undertaken. The data obtained were represented graphically and evaluated in writing. Results: The results from individual schools were mutually compared. From them it was determined that the attitudes to physical education and sporting activity are more or less the same for pupils from all three schools. The results from the research were additionally compared to formulated prerequisites, through which the important influence of parents on the participation in sport of their offspring and...

Unit owners association as a subject of law
Navrátilová, Hana ; Oehm, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Plíva, Stanislav (referee)
Unit Owners Association as a Subject of Law Objective of my thesis is to describe development of legal regulation of the Unit Owners Association, to analyse the current legal regulation of the Unit Owners Association in the Act No. 72/1994 Coll., on apartment ownership and to compare the current legal regulation with latest legal regulation in the new Civil Code. This topic is very live, because the issue of apartment ownership concerns more and more residents. The unit owner is also co-owner of common parts of a building. The Unit Owners Association is a legal entity determined for administration of common parts of the building. The thesis is composed of four chapters. Chapter One describes development of the legal regulation of the Unit Owners Association in the Act No. 72/1994 Coll., on apartment ownership, which was amended several times. Chapter Two analyses the current legal regulation of the Unit Owners Association mainly from the point of view of its legal capacity and internal arrangement. Legal capacity of the Unit Owners Association is restricted, because this legal entity is legally competent to execute rights and to commit itself only in the cases related to administration, operation and repairs of common parts of a building. This chapter consists of six parts which focused on formation of the...
