Completion of the area Údolní 53 for the Faculty of Architecture and Faculty of Fine Arts
Krajan, Viktor ; Navrátil, Václav (referee) ; Makovský, Zdeněk (advisor)
An important aspect is the simple concept of design that is not only in architectural form but also in response to place and surroundings. The design of an educational institution is an important part of city development, By accessing the parcel, it strengthens and extends the boundaries of the surroundings, adding to value and improving the image of the city.
Contactless sealing element
Bryksí, Petr ; Navrátil, Václav (referee) ; Omasta, Milan (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the design of a labyrinth seal element for a tram gearbox. The element should create the most effective seal in the smallest possible space. The work contains a research part dealing with the possibilities of shaft sealing and applicable 3D printing technology. The second part deals with the analysis of the current solution of tram gearbox seals. The construction part deals with the design of the most suitable material and shape to create the greatest resistance, against the ingress of dirt into the gearbox. The result of the work is a model ready for 3D printing and subsequent application, for testing in operating conditions.
Device that presents the vulnerabilities of the Internet of Things
Navrátil, Václav ; Pospíšil, Jan (referee) ; Martinásek, Zdeněk (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on creating checklists that will be used to perform security penetration testing of IoT devices. The theoretical part discusses the principle of IoT, the most commonly used communication protocols, the ISVS security standard and the resulting checklist. The next chapter, i.e., the practical part, contains procedures describing the manual testing of several IoT products. IoT devices were purchased for this purpose as a single unit along with the tools to test them. In total, four comprehensive tests were performed in the practical part.
Nozzle separation valve design for rasterization electron microscope
Hoffman, Petr ; Navrátil, Václav (referee) ; Foltýnová, Dana (advisor)
The aim of the thesis is a design and subsequent construction of a vacuum separation valve for a scanning electron microscope. The introduction describes the functions of an isolating valve. The function of the scanning electron microscope is described in the overview of the current state of knowledge. The following chapters focus on conceptual designs of the valve, their descriptions, advantages and disadvantages. Based on the comparison, the most suitable solution was selected. A force analysis of the selected variant is also performed and described. The end of the thesis contains the whole structure design and processed drawing documentation.
Vision for Kotovo
Podešvová, Klára ; Navrátil, Václav (referee) ; Marek, Jiří (advisor)
The service building Kotovo, built between 1970s and 1980s of the previous century, is situated to the south from the city center of Vsetin, in the city part Rokytnice. The building stands at the beginning of the housing estate tight-close to tower blocks. Two floored object in a U form consists of three standalone blocks, that is A, B and C part. Nowadays, Kotovo is used for a variety of services and markets, such as grocery shops, dentist office, post office or children’s library. The city of Vsetin is fully aware of the state of Kotovo and plans to reconstruct the building. First part of the diploma thesis analyses specifics of this space, deals with connecting the object to its surroundings, defines its possible functioning utilization, and above all it finds meaningful vision for the future reconstructions. The goal of the diploma thesis is to tie in to the areas draft potential, make and architectural concept for the whole area and then design one of the buildings. The thesis should work as a vision and the foundation document for the future reconstruction.
Enzyme activity of recombinant enzymes. Influence of histidine tag.
Navrátil, Václav ; Wsól, Vladimír (advisor) ; Zemanová, Lucie (referee)
Charles University in Prague Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Biochemical Sciences Candidate: Václav Navrátil Supervisor: Prof. Ing. Vladimír Wsól, Ph.D. Title of diploma thesis: Enzymatic activity of recombinant enzymes. Evaluation of His- tag influence. AKR1B1, AKR1C1 and AKR1C3 are three representatives from 15 human enzymes of AKR superfamily, so far described. In the body they take part in a number of biochemical pathways and their substrates include both xenobiotics and endogenous compounds. Reduction of glucose to sorbitol catalyzed by AKR1B1 is associated with the development of secondary diabetic complications. AKR1B1 is also involved in cardiotoxic effect of the cytostatic drug daunorubicine. AKR1C1 is physiologically responsible for the conversion of progesterone to less efficient 20α- hydroxyprogesterone, thereby regulates progestational activity. Overexpression of AKR1C1 may be connected with resistance to certain cytostatic agents. AKR1C3 in human catalyzes a reaction in which testosterone and 5α-DHT is formed and it is also associated with development of several cancer types. Significant involvement of these enzymes in a number of pathological processes led to their closer study. The aim of this work was to evaluate influence of His-tag and chosen buffer on the...
Increasing the range of a vehicle with alternative propulsion
Dryml, Tomáš ; Ranuša, Matúš (referee) ; Navrátil, Václav (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis deals with increasing the range of a vehicle with an alternative drive, which is compressed air. First, an analysis of the pneumatic circuit is performed, from which the areas to be modified result. To improve, it is chosen to find a suitable working pressure and the correct filling, which is calculated on the basis of constant pressure filling and subsequent adiabatic gas expansion. From the theoretical calculation, the runs per cylinder stroke at different pressures are determined and the selected pressures are subsequently experimentally verified. The results show that the most suitable setting increased the range from 331 meters using the original setting, to 616 meters with the new setting.
Lubricants for bicycle chains
Brychta, Ondřej ; Navrátil, Václav (referee) ; Svoboda, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the lubrication of bicycle chains. The introduction describes the basics of the friction processes, then there is an analysis of the chains used on bicycles, used materials, analysis of forces and wear in the chains. The last part is devoted to the properties of basic types of lubricants, their additives and the possibilities of their use in cycling.
