The main object of this Bachelor essay {\clqq}Protocollum domesticum Parish of Velke Mezirici (1816-1938)`` is to introduce to the reader one of the types of parish chronicles that was kept by the parish office in Velke Mezirici. It is a diplomatic study of sources that are important for historical reconstruction of Roman-Catholic church management in given period. The essay is divided into five chapters. The first chapter brings forward general summary of the history of the town and its church management from the mythic history until present. The second chapter is devoted to the problems with standards for keeping of the parish chronicle and to the types of the chronicles. The inside and outside description of the chronicle is mentioned in the third chapter. The next part introduces the lives of individual authors. The last chapter could be the heart of the whole essay. We can find a structure of domestic record. Each of the chapters is described in the same sequence as it is in the parish chronicle. This part can be used as a guide of the resources itself. The essay also includes a list of resources, literature and appendixes that show well-arranged tables and handwriting samples of each of the authors of the chronicle.

The life story of the Apostle Philip according to biblical and non-biblical sources

v anglickém jazyce: Licentiate Thesis The life story of the Apostle Philip according to biblical and non-biblical sources deals with the life and mission of Jesus' disciple Philip, whose name appears in the Gospels in the list of the Twelve, and rarely occurs as an individual. For these reasons, his research gets only marginal interest among scholars. Besides an overview of the occurrence of the name Filip in both biblical and non-biblical sources, the study offers literary and linguistic analysis of relevant pericopes from synoptic gospels, the John's Gospel and the Acts of the Apostles, whose conclusions serve for a detailed historical-theological interpretation of selected texts with a focus on topics related mainly to origin, mission, the mentality, the social status and actions of the Apostle Philip as Jesus' disciple within the community of the Twelve. The Licentiate Thesis also takes into account the occurrence of this character in non-biblical sources and his relation to the person of the same name, the deacon-evangelist Philip.

Abstrakt v anglickém jazyce: The life story of Jesus' disciple Philip is still mysterious for our knowledge, for in sources his person appears scarcely as an individual but mostly as a part of the community of the Twelve. Diploma Thesis Apostle Philip, one of the Twelve, deals with the life and mission of the Apostle Philip, as it is attested especially by canonical biblical sources. Besides an overview of the occurrence of the name Philip in the biblical and non-biblical sources, the work offers a literary and linguistic analysis of relevant pericopes from the synoptic gospels, the Gospel of John and the Acts of the Apostles, whose conclusions serve to detailed historical and theological interpretation of individual texts, focusing on topics related in particular to the origin, the mission, the mentality, the social status and the action of the Apostle Philip within the Circle of the Twelve. Attention of diploma thesis is also paid to the presence of this figure in non-biblical sources and also to his connection with the person of the same name, the deacon-evangelist Philip.

History, analysis and list of manuscripts and old prints of the parish and dean library in Velké Meziříčí

Parish libraries in the Czech and Moravian church province keep the indelible legacy of the lower clergy book culture. Despite their important mission these libraries still escape the interests of researches, ecclesiastical administrators and even the general public. Presented rigorous thesis Bibliotheca parochiae Magnomesericensi. History, analysis and list of manuscripts and old prints of the parish and dean library in Velké Meziříčí is therefore a contribution to this issue. The autor's goal was to arrange a part of the book collection and to present one of the forgotten durch libraries in Morava to the reader. The introduction presents shortly individual parts of the work with the criticism of used sources and literature, then four chapters succeed and the conclusion that evaluates the defined targets. The first chapter tells the historical story of the parish of Velké Meziříčí from the beginnings to the present days in the context of history of the same domain. The second chapter deals briefly with the history of church libraries in Morava focusing on the parish libraries. The history of book culture in the parish and history of the parish and dean library itself are the topics of the third chapter. In the last fourth chapter the list of manuscripts and old prints is analysed in terms of language, time, place, topic, edition and provenance. The final conclusion is followed by the list of used abbreviations, the list of used sources and literature and the supplements that include not only tables, graphs and photographs but also an extensive list of manuscripts and old prints with the commentary itself.

A list of manuscripts and old prints aimed to organize a part of the book collection and to present one of the forgotten church libraries in Moravia. The introduction presents shortly individual parts of the work with the criticism of used sources and literature, then four chapters succeed and the conclusion that evaluates the defined targets. The first chapter tells the historical story of the parish of Velké Meziříčí from the beginnings to the present days in the context of history of the same domain. The second chapter deals briefly with the history of church libraries in Moravia focusing on the parish libraries.
