Contact of the child in substitute family care with his biological family

(in English): The main objective of this thesis is to map out the options of the contact and communication, of a child placed in foster care with their biological mother, to determine risks as well as advantages and opportunities, which both a child and a foster family would gain out of maintaining a contact with the child's biological mother. The goal is to find out whether potential risks associated with such a contact are possible to be addressed by our social system. For this purpose, I discussed this subject with social workers of agencies for the social and legal protection of children, social workers of other associated organisations and foster families. The theoretical part is the basis for the following practical part. Current state discusses foster family care, legal treatment of a child's contact with their biological mother while being placed in a foster family, forms of a possible contact with a biological mother, as well as problematics of attachment behaviour associated with the contact, and importance of the influence of both blood related and foster family in terms of development of a child's personality and experiences. Psychosocial support for the family of the mentally ill

In my bachelor's thesis, I worked under the assumption that the family is an essential factor in the healing process, so it is good to involve the family in this process. At the same time, the family may be in crisis due to the mental illness of their member. Because the spectrum of mental illnesses is wide, I decided to focus on schizophrenia to make it easier to understand the problem. Schizophrenia is one of the most common serious mental illnesses, and it is clearly diagnosable. In the theoretical part of my work, I will focus on the family as a system, its functions, and how schizophrenia can disrupt this system. I will describe the mental care system and available forms of support to the family. In the practical part, I will interview social workers in community teams and centres for the mentally ill. From the interviews, I will evaluate how they support the family and whether they consider it important not only to involve the family in work with the client but also to support it in its needs and difficult situations caused by the mental illness of its member. Intergenerational issues in kinship foster care

The bachelor thesis deals with the problems of kinship foster care. Kinship foster care is a form of foster care, in which a child is being raised by its relative. This form has undoubtedly many benefits, but it also brings out many difficulties. My thesis focuses on potential problems in kinship foster care. It discusses intergenerational issues in kinship foster care, where the child is being raised by his grandparents. The objective of this thesis is to determine, what are the intergenerational problems and to emphasize the differences between foster care and kinship foster care. Social aspects of ageing regarding homeless people in connection with systemic measures taken in the city of Prague

Homelessness is a socio-pathological phenomenon, caused by the inability of an individual to deal with crisis situations and leading to the lost of relationships but also the material environment. As a result of the above, the social exclusion of the individuals gradually becomes unchangeable. Here, Pěnkava (2013) describes the vertical decline within the social stratification, which brings a deep frustration and in a number of cases leads to resignation on the efforts to deal efficiently with the unfavorable situation. The causes of such collapse are multifactorial and hence, in order to solve them there is cooperation on the level of multidisciplinary teams needed. However, numerous issues are currently being solved by social workers only, who in many cases are forced to replace experts in fields such as law, psychology, pedagogy of leisure time, geriatry or medicine. The central theme of the dissertation is dealing with the possibilities and limitations of people without home in old age living in the Capital City of Prague. Complaints of BONA, o.p.s. service users as a implement of feedback

Velký důraz, který je po roce 1989 kladen na dodržováni lidských práv, se velmi výrazně odrazil i v oblasti sociálních služeb. Posilování práv občanů, uživatelů sociálních služeb, pak v průběhu 90. let 20. století nalézalo svoje vyjádření v dokumentech, jejichž cílem bylo velmi individualizovaným způsobem podpořit sociální začleňování občanů a jejich uplatnění ve společnosti. Jedním z cílů sociálních služeb se stalo umožnění důstojného života občanům tak, aby mohli prosazovat svá práva a oprávněné zájmy. Od ledna 2007 jsou principy, které odrážejí dobrou praxi v dodržování lidských práv a svobod v sociálních službách součástí zákona č. 108/2006 Sb., o sociálních službách a vyhlášky č. 505/2006 Sb. (příloha č. 2), a to v podobě tzv. Standardů kvality sociálních služeb. Právě v souvislosti s uvedenými změnami a požadavky na kvalitu prochází sociální služby transformací. Podobně, jako v jiných sociálních službách, bylo i v sociálních službách poskytovaných nevládní neziskovou organizací BONA, o.p.s. nutno zásadně přehodnotit praxi poskytovaných služeb. V souladu se Standardy kvality sociálních služeb musí být změny v metodice poskytování služeb podpořeny změnou postojů pracovníků i uživatelů sociálních služeb k tomu, jak mají sociální služby vypadat a k jakému cíli by měly směřovat. The principe of solidarity in the great monotheistic religions

Princip solidarity je pojem, který je známý asi především z oblasti sociologie a sociální politiky. Odkazuje nás k dalším příbuzným termínům jako je altruismus, filantropie, dobročinnost a možná nám také asociuje témata jako morálka, etika, hodnoty, normy společnosti. Solidární znamená být svorný, vzájemně se podporovat, uvědomovat si svou příslušnost k celku. Solidarita se rodí z vědomí faktické nerovnosti lidí ve společnosti - nerovnosti majetku, schopností, možností, a je vyjádřením snahy tyto nerovnosti korigovat. Altruismus a solidarita v nejrozmanitějších podobách byly přítomny v lidské společnosti od nepaměti, již v primitivních společnostech se našly principy altruistického či solidárního chování. Byla to ale až velká monoteistická náboženství, který dala principům solidarity určitou institucionalizovanou podobu a zahrnula je do svých doktrín, v nichž byla pomoc bližnímu formulována jako ctnost. (Tomeš 2001) Solidarita je společensky dosti zajímavým jevem. Požaduje, aby jedinec (alespoň částečně) rezignoval na svůj bezprostřední individualistický zájem a nad něj postavil zájem druhých anebo zájem společenství jako celku. Volunteerism in spatially excluded localities

Tato diplomová práce analyzuje problematiku dobrovolnictvi v sociálně vyloučených lokalitách. V úvodnich kapitolách jsou vysvětleny pojmy, které se k tématu poji, tedy dobrovolnictvi, dobrovolník, sociálni vyloučeni, sociálně vyloučená lokalita a dalši. Druhá část práce je věnována praktickému výzkumu týkajicimu se tématu dobrovolnictvi v sociálně vyloučených lokalitách. Na základě dotazníkového šetřeni provedeného mezi dobrovolníky organizace Člověk v tisni a jejich koordinátory je zde vymezeno, kdo vlastně dobrovolnici v sociálně vyloučeném prostředi jsou, jaké jsou jejich potřeby a jaké maji při své činnosti v tomto prostředi problémy. Součásti práce je i návrh metodiky práce s dobrovolníky pro organizaci Člověk v tisni. Transmigration of children to institutional care as trauma

V dnešní době se stále častěji objevuje kritika ústavní péče o děti a objevují se snahy tuto péči zlepšit. Není pochyb o tom, že dítě vstupující do ústavní péče prožívá značný stres a to se projevuje na jeho chování a ovlivňuje ho to i v dalším vývoji. Měla jsem možnost poznat dvě ústavní zařízení, Dětský domov Nymburk a Ústav sociální péče Milovice. V těchto zařízeních jsem mohla pozorovat děti, které zde pobývaly. Zabývám se otázkami: Jaké jsou reakce dětí na vstup do ústavu? Jaké techniky a přístupy pomáhají pracovníkům zmírnit nepříznivé projevy při vstupu dítěte do ústavu? Abych poodhalila odpovědi na tyto otázky navštívila jsem výše zmíněná zařízení a vedla rozhovory s jejich pracovníky. Položila jsem jim šest základních otázek, které jsem rozvinula o další individuálně dle odpovědí pracovníků. Těmito rozhovory jsem chtěla potvrdit své hypotézy. Rozhovory se uskutečnili v první polovině roku 2007. Cílem těchto rozhovorů bylo zjistit jakých negativních projevů si všimli pracovníci ústavů u dětí, při vstupu do ústavů. Jak dlouhá je podle nich adaptace dítěte na ústav. Co podle nich pomáhá při zmírňování negativních projevů při vstup do ústavu u dětí. Potvrdili se obě mé hypotézy. Z rozhovorů vyplynulo, že hypotéza o nepříznivých reakcích na vstup do ústavních zařízeních je pravdivá a přes veškerou snahu...

Mediator's competences - with externalization on the education of mediators

Bachelor work "Mediator's competences - with externalization on the education of mediators" focuses on description of mediator's profession and specializes in educational system. In the first part of this work I descripe what mediation is and who mediator is. In the part called Professional competences is described mediator's personality, his/her tasks and the flow of his/her activities as well. It also deals with skills that are essential for his/her work and problematic situations that could appear in his/her work. In the end of this part there are several proposals how to improve his/her work. In further part the work focuses on formal compenteces that are jointed with the legal framework. I descripe present legal framework in the Czech republic, international legal context and I also mention the bill about mediation in the civil area. In the next part you can find information about the educational system in several countries of European Union and about the educational system in the Czech republic. In the final part there is a small survey. Its main aim was to find out what should improve in the education of mediators.
