Kindergarten Šneček
Malá, Barbora ; Sukop, Lukáš (referee) ; Ostrý, Milan (advisor)
The aim of this Master’s thesis is to design a new kindergarten building. The thesis has three parts. The first part presents the structural and architectural designs of the building. It is a single-storey building with a semi-intensive flat green roof. The building has slab foundations with a foam glass base layer. The vertical load-bearing structures are cast-in-place reinforced concrete walls. The envelope walls have a ventilated façade with mineral wool insulation and the external cladding of the building is made of HPL boards. The horizontal loadbearing structure is designed from a reinforced cast-in place concrete slab. The kindergarten is divided into two classrooms with accompanying facilities for fifteen children each. The second part includes the design of building services such as lighting, heating and mechanical ventilation with heat recovery. The aim of this part is to design a building with low energy consumption and maximum use of renewable resources. The building uses an air-to-water heat pump for heating and heat distribution is provided by underfloor heating. Fresh air is provided by mechanical ventilation with heat recovery. The third part deals with design of the kindergarten garden. It analyses the different play elements used, their spatial, material and legislative requirements. The analysed elements are implemented into the technical drawing of the garden. The thesis is elaborated in ArchiCAD 2025, DEKSOFT and other software.
Apartment building
Malá, Barbora ; Hobzová, Klára (referee) ; Utíkalová, Ivana (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor’s thesis is to create project documentation for the construction of a detached apartment house on the outskirts of Vyškov city. The apartment building is designed as a partial basement, a four-story terraced building. In the basement are located cellars used for storage of each apartment unit, technical facilities of the building, and a common room. There are a total of 9 apartments on the upper floors. On the first floor and the second floor are designed apartments with category 3 + kk. On the third floor are located apartments with category 5+kk (maisonette). Each apartment has its own terrace accessible from the living room and maisonette apartments are also complemented by balconies on the top floor. The apartment building is based on flat reinforced concrete foundations. The structural system of the basement is made of waterproof concrete and together with the foundation slab forms a so-called "white tub". The non-basement part is based on reinforced concrete foundation strips. The core of the building (staircase and elevator shaft) is also designed as monolithic reinforced concrete walls. The vertical load-bearing structures of the upper floors are designed as masonry from classic and acoustic sand-lime blocks. Non-load-bearing ones are made as masonry partitions either of sand-lime blocks of thickness 150 mm or 115 mm. Building envelope is designed as a ventilated facade with timber cladding. The ceilings are made as cast-in-place reinforced slabs and in some rooms, they are equipped with SDK suspended ceilings, either directly anchored or suspended. The flat roof above the 4th floor is a green roof. The 3rd floor is covered with a warm flat roof with asphalt roofing. Windows and exterior doors are aluminum and glazed with insulating triple glazing.

Industrial relations'importance for the economic performance
Malá, Barbora ; Streblov, Pavel (advisor) ; Štiková, Radka (referee)
The aim of my bachelor thesis is to point out the industrial relations system as one of the key aspects of labor productivity, as well as the character of the economy. At first, I describe briefly the role of trade unions in the Post-Socialist Europe, and then in the advanced industrial democracies, to show the main differences in the interpretation of trade union meaning among these countries. The selected group of western democratic countries is the analysis' object. It's purpose is to try to find out if there exists any correlation between union density and labor productivity. I have at disposal the data for the period of 1990 to 2005 and I have chosen five European traditionally democratic countries to be compared: Sweden, Germany, Italy, France and Great Britain. My intention here is to point out the fact that despite overall weakening of European trade unions' personal resources the current union power and collective bargaining achievements depend predominantly on the traditional industrial relations concept of each country. The question of immediate interest is to what extent the institutional system influence the character of the production process. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Bank efficiency and its relation to market competition : European perspective
Malá, Barbora ; Geršl, Adam (advisor) ; Seifert, Jan (referee)
Accelerated capital market globalization has led to further deepening of banking sector integration. Wide consolidation of European banking markets resulted in increased competition, however there are still efficiency differences within the global banking sector. Although economic theory postulates that increased competition in financial markets should lead to lower cost and enhanced efficiency, recent studies indicate that the relationship is more complex and not inevitably straightforward. As both banking competition and efficiency is of high relevance for economic development, it is crucial to determine the impact of recent structural changes on the competitive environment and banks' performance. In the theoretical part, we consider different methodological issues in measuring competition and efficiency. Within the empirical section, we employ the SFA to estimate efficiency scores for the selected EU credit institutions and derive corresponding measure of competition based on Panzar-Rosse methodology. By further research, we elaborate on the link between competition and efficiency.
