More than 200 artefacts from 15 localities were studied within the scope of this project. 4 localities were crucial, because those were pond beds with continual flooding. Soils at all localities were coarser compared to bentonites and lacked swelling ability. Pore solutions of the soils were very similar to bentonite pore solutions. They differ in cation composition, but anion composition was similar, which is more important for corrosion behaviour. The environment was not completely anaerobic, what influenced the composition of corrosion products. The compounds were oxides and oxohydroxides. Very low oxidation-reduction potential (fully anaerobic environment) is necessary for the formation of carbonate-based corrosion products, that were detected as major corrosion products in the previous lab and in situ experiments on another projects. Nevertheless, the oxygen transport was very slow and the contribution of aerobic corrosion was negligible compared to anaerobic corrosion. The evaluation of archaeological artefacts revealed very important factors influencing corrosion mechanism in latter stage of soil burial. Precipitation of corrosion products is a driving phenomenon for transport limitation and decrease of corrosion rate in the early stage of burial, while the ferrous species transport is limited extensively within the latter stage resulting in mechanical stress of inner corrosion products layers to previously formed corrosion products and subsequent cracking. This mechanical damage is repeated in the cycle. The mechanical properties of corrosion products are poor, they are easily deformable and very porous. The project has revealed a very important phenomenon, necessary for the right lifetime estimation, which would not be obvious based on the short-term experiments data.

Charles University Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Analytical Chemistry Candidate: Barbora Machová Supervisor: doc. PharmDr. Ludmila Matysová, Ph.D. Consultant: Mgr. Jana Brokešová Title of the diploma thesis: The effect of chitosan as excipient on dissolution of meloxicam. The main objective of this diploma thesis was to develop a suitable dissolution method for evaluating the release of meloxicam from capsules and subsequently determining the effect of chitosan as excipient on the dissolution of this drug. The influence of preparation method of mixture in the capsules was also monitored. The mixture consisted of combination meloxicam with chitosan (MX-CH) in a ratio of 1:8, which was prepared by mixing in a Turbula 3D instrument, or by grinding using a planetary ball mill for 5 or 30 minutes. The dissolution was performed in a dissolution device with a paddle. The phosphate buffer with a pH of 6,8 was selected as a medium. Four formulations were tested including capsules filled with drug only and capsules filled with the mentioned mixture (MX-CH). Samples were gradually collected at time intervals and then measured with UV/VIS spectrophotometer. Based on the measured and calculated values, it is clear, that the excipient chitosan helped to better and faster release of...

Language of the Internet News versus Journalistic Language in the print media: Pragmalinguistic Analysis
Machová, Barbora ; Klabíková Rábová, Tereza (advisor) ; Kraus, Jiří (referee)
Diploma thesis "Language of the Internet News versus Journalistic Language in the print media: Pragmalinguistic Analysis", deals with the phenomenon of convergence of the Internet news language and language of the journalistic texts in print media. Our research verifies hypothesis that "language of the Internet news has much in common with the language of the journalistic texts in print media." About thirty-eight journalistic texts and internet news from MF DNES and Lidové noviny newspapers and www.idnes.cz and www.lidovky.cz websites were analyzed. Also selected concepts of pragmalinguistic and linguistic text analysis were chosen to identify these in common phenomena and to draw conclusions on the convergence of the internet news language and language of the journalistic news in print media. Diploma thesis examines only those linguistic phenomena that appear both in the Internet news and print journalistic texts.
Jan and Zikmund of Vartemberg in the service of the King of Bohemia in Upper Lusatia
Machová, Barbora ; Bobková, Lenka (advisor) ; Holá, Mlada (referee)
The Vartembergs were one of the leading Czech aristocratic families, whose origins are derived from the ancient Markvartic family. The Vartembergs owned a number of large estates, especially in the north of Bohemia, and created several family branches. Due to the political commitment of their members, we meet the lords of Vartemberg in all publications devoted to the government of Czech kings from the last Přemyslids through the Luxembourgs to the Jagiellonians, but special studies devoted to the Vartembergs are only sparse. Among the offices held by members of the family were the governor's offices in the neighboring countries of the Czech Crown, especially in Upper Lusatia. The work is mainly focused on Vartembergs connected with the office of the provincial captain in Upper Lusatia from the second half of the 15th century to the first decades of the following century, at the time of restoring the integrity of the Czech crown after the Hussite wars. The main protagonists of the research will be Jan of Vartemberg, captain of Upper Lusatia in the years 1459-1464 and Sigismund of Vartemberg, in the same office in the years 1490-1504, 1507-1511. Key words: Lords of Vartemberg; Crown of Bohemia; Upper Lusatia; sheriff's office; Jan of Vartemberg; Zikmund of Vartemberg; 2nd half of the 15th century

The exhibition catalogue is one of the important possibilities how make public the facts about historical landscape of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands, the preservation of the archaeological monuments, stay of the knowledge and possibilities of their documentation. The good knowledge increases the chances of preservation of unique information’s about our own past in the landscape. Landscape currently is the most significant witness of historical and cultural changes in our country. And as regards the state of preservation of prehistoric archaeological monuments, landscape even is the only witness. One of extraordinary regions in this regard is the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands. It always was and still is a peripheral region, which is not really significantly affected by the ongoing destruction of historical cultural landscape. In chapters of the exhibition catalogue are introduced the issues of research. The catalogue of artefacts documenting the material culture for all investigated periods is published at the end.
