Design of Turbine Safety Cover for Turbocharger
Mach, Petr ; Kudláček, Petr (referee) ; Novotný, Pavel (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the issue related to the burst covers of turbochargers, followed by the design of the safety cover for turbine housing, which works as a protective barrier in case of possible destruction of the turbocharger rotor. The design is created according to current knowledge from the containment testing and requirements for the highest level of safety during turbocharger operation. In this diploma thesis, there are made 2 new variants of burst cover. The first aims at a lower purchase price and it is suitable for applications where it is not necessary to have the highest protection level. The second variant aims to face the strictest conditions and uses reinforced walls, which makes it a more expensive product. For both designs of the burst cover, there is made an analysis of vibrations due to long-term trouble-free operation, which is followed by further modification of the design. In the last part, burst covers are checked for high-cycle material fatigue. The output of this diploma thesis are therefore two new designs of the safety covers that are suitable in terms of vibrations caused by the internal combustion engine.

Virtual property
Mach, Petr ; Kühn, Zdeněk (referee) ; Wintr, Jan (referee)
Virtual property Resumé Private property is a natural law and the legal concept of ownership is known to mankind from time immemorial. Perception of the opbject of property has evolved through historici periods from an strictly tangible thing into intangible assets such as intellectual property . This advance was facilitated by technological progress - shortly after inroduction of Guttenberg's printing press the law started to recognize rights in intangible assets, such as creations of one's mind. Today, in the age of information Technologies, the scientific progress gave birth to a brand new world. A world outside the borders of our tangible reality, existing only in betwenn a computer network. This new synthetic world, the cyberspace, has become an alternative reality for many. In this new social enviroment, millions of people come to interact in a completly new way. And where pleple interact, social relations emerge. If those relations have a certain degrese of intensity or quality, they can be considered legal relations. In tis study I focused on a specific kind of such relation - ownership of virtual assets. Virtual property is a new phenomenon, that is rapidly gaining significance. These new kinds of property interests are being created, used and traded in the same way as traditional property. I have...
Healthy Ageing and Healthcare Expenditure
Mach, Petr ; Bryndová, Lucie (advisor) ; Bertoli, Paola (referee)
In the recent decades, a significant demographic shift is underway, with increasing life expectancy and falling fertility rates, causing a change in the age structure of populations. This introduces a problem for the sustainability of many modern social systems, which rely on funds from the economically active population to pay for the increased expenses of the elderly population. Over the last few decades, two scenarios that would alleviate the problem have been proposed. One is the compression of morbidity or healthy ageing, which assumes that a large part of the gains in life expectancy will be spent in good health, thus reducing the pressure on the healthcare system. The other being the concept of death-related costs hypothesis which assumes that a large portion of the older populations healthcare costs is tied to the death of the individual, which would mean that the increasing life expectancy would just shift the existing healthcare expenses to older age at the same rate as the increase in life expectancy. This thesis provides information on the situation in the Czech Republic, and whether any of these scenarios are present in the data from the last 20 years, which could be relied on to improve the healthcare system financing in the following years. The analysis of the average Czech...

A part is also dedicated to the associated receipt lottery and the end of the theoretical section is devoted to similar systems of electronic evidence of sales and their impacts in other countries. The practical section of the thesis is devoted to answering the question if the introduction of electronic records of sales in the Czech Republic was justified, based on fulfillment of its initial goals. The main goals were to increase the tax revenue and lowering the size of the shadow economy. In order to verify the estimate of increase in VAT revenue due to introduction of EET, calculated by the Ministry of Finance, I calculate my own...
