Moral Factors And Their Influence Upon Career Choices of High School Students
Lukášová, Hana ; Klusák, Miroslav (advisor) ; Vacek, Pavel (referee) ; Kirovová, Iva (referee)
The subject of this research, namely career choice of high school graduates, has been considered from the position of moral reasoning. Qualitative analysis of data collected from interviews carried out with 32 graduates identifies career choice to be a significant factor determining the identity of each graduate. The research is based on assumption that moral reasoning is nourished by each one's identity and loyality to oneself, respectively. The basis of this career identity is formed by so called "inveteracy", reflected by various ways in individual's attempt to make a choice that is authentic. Categorically speaking, there exist "plots", that make career selection process complicated, as well as "problematizations", that make any authentic choice virtually impossible. Career choice is interpreted by means of three domains throughout which it becomes apparent both how this process fosters the individual's relationship with the outside world, with those closest to him/her and with himself/herself and what kind of affect this relationship has on his/her very identity. During the research, career choice turns out to be a continual and complex process that far surpasses the actual period of submitting a college application.
Moral reasoning in schoolchildren
Angerová, Radka ; Klusák, Miroslav (advisor) ; Lukášová, Hana (referee)
English Abstract The contents of this work are to inspect and assess the problems of moral reasoning of children of upper primary schools participating in the full-time department program which belong to the center of educational care. For better understanding of each client I used written documentation as well as held consultation with them. The aim was to determine what dilemmas were these children trying to solve, how they thought about them, what motivated their actions and what led them to get into trouble at the basis of their moral reasoning In order to obtain theoretical sensitivity as well as general insight into the issue of moral reasoning I started with the works by Lawrence Kohlberg and Jean Piaget, respectively, their theories about the moral development (both) and intellectual development (in the case of J. Piaget). I compared the results of my research with their theories about moral reasoning (in Discussion).
Irish Party System and its changes in last 25 years (the role of Sinn Féin)
Lukášová, Hana ; Říchová, Blanka (advisor) ; Stauber, Jakub (referee)
This thesis' topic is The Irish party system and its changes in the last 25 years with a focus on the role of Sinn Féin. While Sinn Féin was the largest party in the first Irish parliament at the beginning of the 20th century, the rest of the century the party remained minor. Its strong ties to the Irish Republican Army kept the party from gaining official recognition both from the Republic of Ireland and the United Kingdom, since the party contests in both parts of the island of Ireland. The connection to IRA together with the policy of abstentionism, which the party practiced until 1986 in the Republic and until 1998 to the Northern Ireland Assembly, put the party on the edge of the interest of both scholars and voters. However, after the peace process in Northern Ireland, the situation changed rapidly, at least in the case of voters. Today, only twenty years after the process ended, Sinn Féin is the second largest (and the largest nationalist) party in the Northern Ireland assembly and the third biggest in the Dáil (the lower house of the Irish parliament), succeeding the Labour party at this position. And while the voters support for the party grows, most of the scholars still consider to be only a political wing of the IRA or a minor party. The descriptive part of this thesis narrates the...

This bachelor thesis is divided into two main parts. In the theoretical part I give the definition of basic terms which are the content of this work. I deal with the definition of a child and problem behaviour of the child, family and its types and its main function. I specify the main and the most important lawful adjustments of Department of Social and Legal Protection of Children. I give the definition of an institutional education, activity and progress in children´s diagnostic institute and the main reasons for placement of children. The main aim of the practical part is to determine the range of awareness of social workers about the activities of Children´s Diagnostic Institute, who place children to the diagnostic institutes. The sub-aim is to find out if the social workers encounter the activities of Children´s Diagnostic Institute and describe their knowledge about the Children´s Diagnostic Institute and about the reasons, which serve as the impulse for the court at the children with behaviour problems and disorders. I used the strategy of qualitative research, the questioning method and the technique of half-structured conversation in my research. The research file was formed by ten social workers who work in the Department of Social and Legal Protection of Children, which are located in the villages of the South Bohemia Region. The random selection method to select the file was chosen. The summary of statements of the social workers shows that they know about the activities and the content of the diagnostic institute. The social workers from the Department of Social and Legal Protection of Children had studied the information on the issues using the Internet, specialised literature but after some time they gained the personal experience with this facility. This work could be used to improve the awareness of OSPOD social workers and other people dealing with children's behaviour disorders.
Future Career Ideas - T he Story of a Private High School Junior Year Students
Lukášová, Hana ; Klusák, Miroslav (advisor) ; Vacek, Pavel (referee) ; Trpišovská, Dobromila (referee)
The study is based on the assumption that J. L. Holland's typology of personalities and work environment can be taken for the mainstream theory regarding the issue of career planning. The essential question of this research is whether and to what extent Holland's theory and the concepts implemented in its consulting practice are already premeditated in the minds of contemporary adolescents, namely of thirty-two junior year students attending a private secondary school in Prague. The main source of empirical data comes from semi-structured interviews conducted by the author from the perspective of a school psychologist. The application of qualitative analysis led to the determination of three fundamental concepts of professional future. The trio provides a guide for interpreting both the ways in which respondents further evolve the self-aware part of their mindsets they have decided to professionalize and the complications that may accompany such process. During the analysis it was revealed that besides the pursuit of information in an attempt to determine one's individual place in the world the process of career decision-making contains a strong emotional dimension accompanying such pursuit.
The United States' influence on Northern Ireland conflict resolution
Lukášová, Hana ; Říchová, Blanka (advisor) ; Kotábová, Věra (referee)
This thesis' topic is The United States' influence on Northern Ireland conflict resolution. The Norther Ireland conflict has its roots in the 17th century, when protestants from Scotland and England started to come to the Ulster region. Religion differences between the inhabitants, most of the original population were Catholics, led over the centuries to the division of two ethnics on the Ulster territory - protestant and catholic. After the partition of the island in 1921 the southern part declared independence, however the Northern Ireland territory remained a part of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The conflict between ethnics sharpened itself, because most of the Catholics wanted to united the island under Irish rule (the republicans), while protestants wanted to remained in the union with the Great Britain (the unionists and the loyalists). At the end of the 1960's the conflict turned itself into a violent one and the attacks and killing continued for the next thirty years during the period called "the Troubles." The conflict was settled by the end of the 1990's with a contribution of the governments of the Republic of Ireland, the Great Britain and the US. The description part of this thesis narrates the conflict in Norther Ireland, its roots and attempted...
