The Effect of Stimulative Systems on Companies Costs and Revenues

Dissertation thesis deals with issue stimulation remuneration system for employees of workers profession. Empiric research is focused on situation in the field of remuneration for employees in custom engineering companies acting in the Czech Republic. The final facts from both research are the starting point for creating predictive model. The model offers two main possibilities how to reward workers. It allows settings for each specific company and shows the impact of both chosen system and its settings on financial economy of company.
INFLUENCE OF INFORMATION SYSTEM IMPLEMENTATION ON CHANGES IN STRATEGIC GOALS AND IN ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURES

The aim of the dissertation is to monitor the process of information system implementation and its impact on the changes in the organizational structure and in strategic goals. Achieving this task is based on monitoring and evaluating the process of implementing the information system, on monitoring its impact on factors which affect the necessary changes in the organizational structure of enterprises and affect the strategic objectives of the enterprise. The data will be obtained on the basis of scientific methods designed for this purpose and they will be divided into parts of a questionnaire survey and of a managed interview. Within the framework of the questionnaire, the entire process will be evaluated in three dimensions: level of management, user level and the process level. The result of the dissertation will be either a confirmation or a refutation of the hypothesis related to the impact of IS implementation on the strategic objectives and on the organizational structure of the company. On this basis a defined procedure will be created for the implementation of information system monitoring and regulating changes in the strategic objectives and in the organizational structure. This procedure can serve as a guide for general use within companies, and on the basis of its results a decision will be made as to whether it is possible to use it in practice.
Knowledge Management in Hi-Tech Companies

Presented dissertation is involved in the knowledge management in high-tech companies in the Czech Republic. The work with knowledge influences all areas in the company. Evaluation of formulated strategy and arrangement of development of conditions, resulting in future sustainability, are essential in the context of business success. The topic aims at organized use of knowledge in the company management activities; the emphasis is put on key factors of knowledge management. The primary objective of said dissertation thesis has been the elaboration of methodology of incorporation of elements of knowledge management into the management activities within the framework of business concept in the Czech high-tech sector. Partial objectives have been determined in closed link. Definition of objectives of the dissertation and individual hypotheses has been based on secondary research. On the basis of primary research, combining both qualitative and quantitative methods, partial conclusions have been outlined. Results of a case study and small group discussion have been applied for questionnaire investigation, supported also by theoretical knowledge. Recommendation, resulting in the proposal of methodology, has been framed after the summarization of partial conclusions of the individual research approaches. Moreover, stress has been placed to a schematic visualization. Finally, presented dissertation at its end presents its contributions in the area of science and research, practice, pedagogy and methodology.
Model of financial flows in the project

Presented dissertation thesis has focused on the project management; its objective has been to achieve set main goal applying used methodology, i.e., to propose a model of management of project financial flows. The pre-requisite of achievement of said main goal has been the primary research undertaken in the monitored area of processing industry, following criteria established in advance. These criteria have been formulated in particular in harmony with the evaluation of current condition of given issue both in the Czech Republic and abroad; furthermore, by interviews made in qualitative research, the verification of which has applied the combination of quantitative and qualitative research, as well as statistical verification of formulated hypotheses. On the basis of such acquired and verified data the model of management of project financial flows has been generated based, among others, on the application of so-called system approach, the pre-requisite of which has been the optimization of managerial approach and decision-making reflected in the process of budget creation in mutual links with three-imperative during project planning.

Sub-culture of Depeche Mode fans in the Czech lands with a focus on the period 1987-1995

The aim of the diploma thesis is to extend the knowledge about the subculture of fans of the British music group Depeche Mode in the Czech lands, especially in the years 1987-1995, in the period of perestroika and transformation. The research focuses mainly on the main features of this subculture, how it was organized and what activities it carried out, both within the limitations of socialist Czechoslovakia and in the period after the Velvet Revolution. The whole work is based primarily on interviews with active members of the subculture. The interviews were conducted using the oral history method. In addition to interviews, research is based on resources and information from specialist literature, archive materials, and periodicals. The work brings new insights into how the subculture of depechies in CSSR and later in the Czech Republic worked. According to media estimates, this subculture has had up to 250,000 members in its peak period, it created its own organizational structure and its members were easily recognizable for their typical visual elements. The work also reveals how the state power of socialist Czechoslovakia influenced the everyday life of the subculture, as well as the deeper subculture's relationships and interactions with other subcultures and communities.
