Load bearing reinforced concrete structure of multipurpose building

This work deals with the structural solution of reinforced concrete floor slab, deep beam and its support of multipurpose building. The structure is designed and assessed in according to valid standards. The continuous one-way slab is analyzed by Finite Element Method, deep beam is solved by Strut-and-Tie model.

The main purpose of thesis is a static solution of load bearing reinforced concrete structure of flat house. The work contains an assessment of waterproof concrete building. The object is built under the groundwater level. Supporting structures are concrete slab, walls and columns. An assessment of these structures is realized in terms of first critical state- carrying capacity and second limit state- limitation of crack widths.
Desing and Implementation of Business Intelligence in Web Environment

This thesis discusses Bussiness Intelligence as a supporting tool for decision making in company leadership. A design of such tool in web-based environment, fitted for a concrete company, as well as a real-life solution, built on the PHP platform and using the MySQL relational database, is provided. The resulting application makes use of both tables and charts for data visualisation, thus showcasing a simplified view for better data usage and understanding.
Load bearing reinforced concrete structure of apartment house

The subject of this diploma thesis is the design of the underground parts of the building. Part of this thesis is to comapare alternative designs and subsequentli evaluate the interaction of the upper structure with subsoil and pile fundantion. A detailed static assessment and implementation documentation is then prepared for the selected variant. The design of the base plate and reinforced concrete walls of the underground section are designed with respect to the crack width according to the principles for designing the white box. The theoretical part contains principles for designing and implementing a white box and evaluating design variants.
Structural assessment of the existing reinforced-concrete frame structure of the production building

The diploma thesis deals with the structural assessment of the existing reinforced concrete frame structure of the production building. The structure under consideration is carried out as a reinforced concrete monolithic frame structure with a discrepancy of 6,15 x 6,15 m (axis). The object has a rectangular plan of 13 x 9 fields. The total dimension is 56 x 81m and is divided into three dilation units on all floors by two inserted 3,65 m wide fields. The building has three above-ground floors and one underground floor. The construction height of the basement is 3,675 m, above ground level 4,0 m. On the west side of the building (axis A) are three reinforced concrete elevator shafts with a dimension of approximately 4,5 x 3,8 m. The envelope and inner partitions are made of bricks full of burned. The work shall include a static assessment of the status quo, a determination of the load capacity and a proposal for appropriate adjustments to ensure static reliability.
Experimental Treatment of the Spinal Cord Injury and Clinical Treatment of Thoraco-Lumbar Vertebral Fractures

Vertebral body fractures together with the spinal cord injury (SCI) remain a challenging medical condition. While management of the thoracic-lumbar (Th-L) vertebral fractures belongs to basic neurosurgical procedures with a usually excellent outcome, treatment of the severe spinal cord injury has mostly unsatisfactory results and thus novel approaches are highly in demand. In this study, experimental treatment of the SCI in a rat model using human mesenchymal stem cells derived from Wharton's jelly (WJ-MSCs) and a novel highly water soluble, nano-formulated curcumin is evaluated. Furthermore, a novel method of mini- invasive percutaneous posterior stabilisation (MIS) of Th-L vertebral fractures is retrospectively compared with classical open posterior (OPEN) procedure. To assess the effectivity of hWJ-MSCs treatment in the ischemic-compression model of SCI in rats, different dosages (0.5 or 1.5 million cells) and repeated applications were compared. Cells or saline were applied intrathecally by lumbar puncture once, or in three consecutive weeks after injury. Nanocurcumin and a vehicle nanocarrier as a control were delivered both locally, immediately after the spinal cord injury, and subcutaneously during the four consecutive weeks after SCI.
