Study of decontamination effects of plasma and plasma activated water
Kovaříková, Kateřina ; Krouská, Jitka (referee) ; Kozáková, Zdenka (advisor)
The theoretical part of this Diploma’s thesis describes the use of plasma in decontamination processes. The experimental part of the thesis focuses on the preparation and characterization of model samples of organic dyes by appropriate analytical methods. The model samples were treated by direct exposure to plasma or plasma activated water. For both treatments, two different plasma sources were used - a dielectric barrier discharge in an ozonizer with subsequent bubbling of its gaseous products into the solution, and a microwave plasma jet applied to the liquid surface. The aim of the work was to evaluate the decontamination rate of the samples and to compare the performance of the different systems.
The General Meeting of a Joint-Stock Company
Kovaříková, Kateřina ; Čech, Petr (advisor) ; Štenglová, Ivana (referee)
General Meeting of the joint-stock copany The aim and purpose of this thesis is a comprehensive summary and description dealing with the problem of the General Meeting of the joint stock company. At the same time, this work attempts to draw attention to the basic practical problems that are related to the General Meeting of the company. This paper therefore attempts to characterise the fundamental issues with the assistance of the court findings and legal sciences. At the same time this work is trying to highlight the latest changes that have occurred in connection with transposition of the Directive Nr. 2007/36/EC of 11 July 2007 "on the exercise of certain rights of shareholders in listed companies" in our legal system. The structure of this work is conceived from the perspective of the course of the General Meeting, where individual chapters are arranged chronologically. The only exceptions are the last two chapters dealing with the rights of shareholders in General Meeting and the decision of the sole shareholder in the scope of the General Meeting. Although the first of these chapters relates to the previous, I consider it necessary, to summarize the rights of shareholders at a General Meeting within a single chapter, and to provide a comprehensive picture of the rights that are given to the...
Development of spatial orientation in infancy
Kovaříková, Kateřina ; Klusák, Miroslav (advisor) ; Kucharská, Anna (referee)
This thesis deals with the acquisition of spatial relationships in infancy. It is conceived as a theoretical analysis based on a literature search. The framework of this study is a construction of space described in Jean Piaget's monograph Child's Construction of Reality (1955). The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part consists of the interpretation of Piaget's conception of the development of the permanent object, the group of displacement and the construction of space. The second part is based on the view of Reneé Baillargeon as a representative of another theoretical approach in the field of cognitive development. Baillargeon insight into spatial relations enables to review Piaget's theory in the new context. The aim of this thesis is to get to know Piaget theory of the construction of spatial relationships. The goal is to extended knowledge derived from Czech translations of Piaget and to compare it with adequate theoretical partner found by literature search. The study is focused on the Piaget's sensorimotor stadium, i.e. on children till the age of two years.
Killer plants in Prague and its surroundings: A guide to their diversity and hidden dangers
Kováříková, Kateřina ; Slovák, Marek (advisor) ; Novotný, Petr (referee)
The immobility of plants and their inability to escape from danger is compensated by the creation of various defence strategies, which are used mainly by toxic plants. The main goal of the bachelor's thesis is a literature review on the topic of poisonous (toxic) plants, both in the context of defence mechanisms and their importance for human society. The thesis deals with the description of the main groups of toxic plant compounds, summarizes their chemical composition, properties, distribution, and effects on the human body. The second half of the work is focused on the diversity of wild-growing but also of some cultivated toxic plants of our landscape with a specific focus on the flora of Prague and its immediate surroundings. It analyzes plant representatives from two families, important for the production of toxic secondary metabolites, in more detail. Specifically, they are the aubergine (Solanaceae) and buttercup (Ranunculaceae) families. Along with the description of partial representatives, their distribution, ecology, my work also describes the documented poisonings and use of poisonous plants in folk and modern medicine. The impetus for the creation of this work is the low awareness not only of the child population but also of adults, about the dangers, risks, and impact of these toxic...
Who writes the letters in the novel? (Correspondents in Skvorecky's novel The Engineer of Human Souls)
Kovaříková, Kateřina ; Špirit, Michael (advisor) ; Merhaut, Luboš (referee)
The aim of the thesis is to characterize the individual writers of letters in Josef Škvorecký's novel The Engineer of Human Souls. The five correspondents, who in the "main" narrative zone of the prose text, except for one parade on the periphery of the direct narrator's attention, represent five different stylizations, and creating one of the separate levels of the novel's fragmentary composition. Letters will be analyzed on the basis of shared information and styles of individual writers.
Diagnostics of active particles generated by the interaction of plasma microwave discharge with liquids
Kovaříková, Kateřina ; Töröková, Lucie (referee) ; Kozáková, Zdenka (advisor)
The first part of this Bachelor’s thesis describes problems of electric discharges in gas and on a surface of water solutions. It focuses on the generation of the active particles that are generated during the discharge and their subsequent analysis by appropriate analytical methods. The second part focuses on identification of the active particles that are generated during the microwave discharge in gas phase and during the interaction with water solution surface. The aim is to determine the influence of experimental conditions on the information of the active particles, specifically the nitrates and nitrite ions.
