Possibilities of diagnosis and development of partial functions in preschool children with hearing impairment

The thesis explores the possibilities of diagnosing and developing partial functions in preschool-aged children with hearing impairments considering the importance of these skills for acquiring basic school competencies such as reading, writing, and counting. Children with this type of impairment constitute a specific group that may face difficulties in obtaining information from the auditory environment, affecting the acquisition of necessary knowledge and skills. The aim of the thesis is to describe currently used diagnostic tools for working with preschool-aged children with hearing impairments. A secondary objective is to assess whether and to what extent any improvements in the test results can be observed during controlled activities compared to periods when such activities were not conducted. Realized six-month research included initial diagnostics of partial functions, subsequent controlled activities focused on their development, and final testing of selected children with hearing impairments. Based on evaluation and analysis of the obtained data, conclusions of the thesis provide recommendations for a diagnostic approach and support for the development of preschool-aged children with hearing impairments. Czech language teaching materials for pupils with hearing impairment and Czech language teaching materials for pupils of the second level of primary school (Fraus publishing house)

The bachelor thesis is focused on evaluation, particularly of printed educational materials, for teaching the Czech language - grammar textbooks on the lower secondary school level, intended for pupils with hearing impairment and for pupils of the mainstream education. The theoretical part contains enumeration and characteristic of particular types of educational materials; and also the factors that influence their selection. Based on the study of professional literature, it observes the development and specifics of educational materials of the Czech language for students with hearing impairment. The thesis further summarizes general knowledge related to the education of deaf pupils and briefly describes the acquisition and teaching of the Czech language in these pupils. In addition, the theoretical part includes a list of Czech publishers that publish teaching materials of the Czech language for pupils with hearing impairment, and a summary of publishers publishing teaching materials of the Czech language intended for pupils in the mainstream education. Use of artefilities in the adaptation of pupils with OMJ to the primary school environment

The diploma thesis "The Use of Art Therapy in the Adaptation of Students with Different Native Languages to the Elementary School Environment" focuses on the utilization and effectiveness of art therapy as the main tool for developing relationships and improving the social climate of the classroom. The aim of the thesis is to propose and verify through research an art therapy program in the fifth grade of elementary school. The theoretical part introduces the specifics of students with different native languages, particularly their Adaptation to a new environment as well as the preparation of all presently studying students in the class and the school as such for the arrival of a student with a different native language. The theoretical part also defines art therapy as a separate field of science subject, its focus, and its contribution to education. The practical part presents ten art therapy sessions aimed at developing prosocial behavior, assertiveness, and socially acceptable behavior not only among Czech students but especially among students with different native languages and war refugees. This master's thesis is devoted to the topic of written expressions of students with hearing impairment educated at schools for the hearing impaired. This master's thesis consists of a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical part is devoted to the knowledge we have available about this topic both in domestic and foreign literature. Specifically, it deals with topics such as the language and communication of people with hearing impairments, the teaching of pupils with hearing impairments with a focus on language teaching, especially the Czech language and the literacy of people with hearing impairments. The practical part of the thesis is devoted to a research investigation, the aim of which was to describe the differences between the texts of hearing impaired pupils educated in schools for the hearing impaired and the texts of intact pupils educated in mainstream schools. As part of the research investigation, the texts of pupils with hearing impairment and the texts of intact pupils were obtained, while both groups were given identical assignments. Support Measures in the Education of Pupils with Special educational Needs

The diploma thesis covers the procedural aspects of the provision of support measures of levels II-V at primary schools in the Žďár nad Sázavou district. It also explores the practical aspects and the support that teachers receive from school counselling centres in order to apply the support measures in accordance with the issued recommendations. The three research questions are: How do the educators evaluate the support provided by school counselling centres? What are the perceived challenges and opportunities for improvement for the educators when working with the school counselling centres? What form of cooperation with the school counselling centres would be most helpful for the educators when implementing the support measures in school? The thesis is divided into two chapters. The first chapter deals with the theoretical background of the thesis. It defines the concepts of younger school age, support measures of levels II-V, pupils with special educational needs, school counselling centres and school counselling facilities. Communication skills of pupils with a different mother tongue in the primary school

The aim of the thesis "Language skills of pupils with different mother tongue in primary school" is to analyse the language skills of pupils of younger school age with different mother tongue. Together with the sub-linguistic skills, the present thesis focuses mainly on the pragmatic linguistic level, within which the use of language skills in a social context is evaluated. The theoretical part of the thesis consists of the first three chapters. The introduction defines the concepts of communication, language and speech, communicative competence and bilingualism. The second chapter is devoted to the specifics of adaptation and acquisition of Czech as a second language by pupils with a different mother tongue. The possibilities of language diagnostics are also presented in this chapter. Finally, the education of this group in the domestic school system is characterised together with selected organisations dedicated to supporting pupils with a different mother tongue. Diagnostic of school maturity of children with impaired communication ability

This thesis deals with the issue of school readiness of children with speech difficulties in the preschool period. The theoretical part of the thesis describes in detail the areas of preschool child development, as well as communication of the preschool child, school maturity and readiness, and diagnosis of school maturity and readiness. In the practical part of the thesis, qualitative research is conducted using a diagnostic method to assess school maturity in children with impaired communication skills who are awaiting entry into primary school. Subsequently, individual speech and language therapy interventions are designed for those children who, based on the results of the assessment, are ready to enter primary school. The aim of the work is to contribute to a better understanding of the issue of school readiness of children with impaired communication skills and to provide practical tools to support the communication skills of these children in preparation for entry into primary school. The design of the speech therapy intervention serves as a complement to home practice before starting primary school. The bachelor thesis deals with the impact of hearing loss on the lives of individuals with hearing disabilities during adolescence. The theoretical part of the text defines the concept of adolescence, the influence of hearing impairment on personality development, as well as information about the auditory systém and compensatory aids. The thesis the focuses on issues related to areas that are crucial during adolescence, namely education and preparation for future careers. The chapter on education for individuals with hearing impairments focuses on communication approaches and the inclusion process in schools in the Czech Republic. This chapter is followed by a section on tertiary education, which is part of the chapter about preparing for future careers. The aim of the thesis is to provide insight into life of individuals with hearing impairments, with an emphasis on the aforementioned problematic areas that need improvement. This diploma thesis focuses on the issue of the well-being of primary school teachers, and the possibilities for supporting well-being by the teachers themselves and the school management. It is divided into two parts - theoretical and research. The theory is elaborated into four chapters and summarizes the findings of the specialized literature. The first chapter presents the basic concept of well-being, including terms that were previously synonymous and are now an essential part of it. The next chapter is devoted to the topic of well-being itself. It offers a summary of existing theories, defines and describes the area of well-being, and conveys a view of teacher well-being. The third chapter collects information in the area of well-being care. It draws attention to the threatening factors that have an impact on the mental health and work capacity of the teacher, which include, for example, stress or burnout syndrome. It also conveys knowledge of how to improve well-being. The last chapter is devoted to the role of well-being in education.
