PUBLIC CITY SPACE – RUDOLFOV
Kordík, Pavel ; Pospíšil, Zdeněk (referee) ; Boháč, Ivo (advisor)
The main goal of my work was find and define a form of content for potential reconstruction of the castle Rudolfov. The purpose was a make this castle a good place for serving to city. This thesis is a last from analyzes and proposals for dealing with the city Rudolfov and its public space, which I developed in the whole masters degree: City - Vision for the Future. My work has been divided into four semesters. In first one, i have made a detailed analysis of the city Rudolfov and identifying the problem areas and main city problems, which I also discussed. In the second semester the work was focused on new study for new city center. In the third semester, I continued working on urban development studies of the northern slope with relation to the newly created center. For the thesis I chose the troubled and valuable place of the city with a cultural monument that formerly served as barracks and today it is looking for a new use. All studies were designed to contribute positively to the future development of the town Rudolfov.
Fault tolerant Field Programmable Neural Networks

Hyperparameter optimization in AutoML systems
Pešková, Klára ; Neruda, Roman (advisor) ; Awad, Mariette (referee) ; Kordik, Pavel (referee)
In the last few years, as processing the data became a part of everyday life in different areas of human activity, the automated machine learning systems that are designed to help with the process of data mining, are on the rise. Various metalearning techniques, including recommendation of the right method to use, or the sequence of steps to take, and to find its optimum hyperparameters configuration, are integrated into these systems to help the researchers with the machine learning tasks. In this thesis, we proposed metalearning algorithms and techniques for hyperparameters optimization, narrowing the intervals of hyperparameters, and recommendations of a machine learning method for a never before seen dataset. We designed two AutoML machine learning systems, where these metalearning techniques are implemented. The extensive set of experiments was proposed to evaluate these algorithms, and the results are presented.
Polystylism and collage in Czech music in the second half of the 20th century
Škarda, Robert ; Douša, Eduard (advisor) ; Havlík, Jaromír (referee) ; Kordík, Pavel (referee)
Polystylism and Collage in Czech Music in the Second Half of the 20th Century by Robert Škarda Key words: czech music, collage, polystylism, postmodernism, quotation, style contraposition, team composition The topic of my thesis Polystylism and Collage in Czech Music in the Second Half of the 20th Century is the area of Czech composers' works based mainly on style contraposition, stylization of historical or jazz music and usage of quotations. My work is based on assumption of historicity of musical terminology. I consider the notions polystylism and collage as period musical terms and I attempt to reconstruct their meaning. Time definition of the thesis is delimited by the years 1960 and 2000. Lower time limit is selected regarding to nature of the topic - the 60s are the period when works and reflections belonging to the context of the notions polystylism and collage first appeared. The first part of my thesis focuses on the general mapping of the topic polystylism and collage. I summarized relevant musicology literature and I dealed with historical and teoretical relations of polystylism and collage to related terms (first of all postmodernism, montage and style), I was concerned with the context of European and American music and with question of polystylism and collage in Czech popular music....

Hybrid Deep Question Answering
Aghaebrahimian, Ahmad ; Holub, Martin (advisor) ; Kordik, Pavel (referee) ; Pecina, Pavel (referee)
Title: Hybrid Deep Question Answering Author: Ahmad Aghaebrahimian Institute: Institute of Formal and Applied Linguistics Supervisor: RNDr. Martin Holub, Ph.D., Institute of Formal and Applied Lin- guistics Abstract: As one of the oldest tasks of Natural Language Processing, Question Answering is one of the most exciting and challenging research areas with lots of scientific and commercial applications. Question Answering as a discipline in the conjunction of computer science, statistics, linguistics, and cognitive science is concerned with building systems that automatically retrieve answers to ques- tions posed by humans in a natural language. This doctoral dissertation presents the author's research carried out in this discipline. It highlights his studies and research toward a hybrid Question Answering system consisting of two engines for Question Answering over structured and unstructured data. The structured engine comprises a state-of-the-art Question Answering system based on knowl- edge graphs. The unstructured engine consists of a state-of-the-art sentence-level Question Answering system and a word-level Question Answering system with results near to human performance. This work introduces a new Question An- swering dataset for answering word- and sentence-level questions as well. Start- ing from a...
