Education for self-discipline,and respect for the freedom of a pupil at elementary school

This master's thesis focuses on upbringing student self-discipline at the elementary school level. The work explores various tools and techniques for promoting the development of self-discipline. The main objective of the thesis is to investigate the tools and techniques used by elementary school teachers to support the development of self-discipline in students. The thesis is divided into two parts, the theoretical and the empirical. The theoretical part provides an overview of key concepts such as discipline, the meaning and function of discipline, its types, and self-discipline, will, and motivation. The thesis also delves into existing research on student self-discipline. Subsequently, it addresses the characteristics of the developmental stage of late childhood, known as adolescence. The final chapter of the theoretical part introduces tools and techniques for upbringing self-discipline. The empirical part of the thesis involves qualitative research, aiming to discover the methods employed by elementary school teachers to enhance student self-discipline through interviews with teachers. The importance of rituals in the educational process at elementary school

(in English): The thesis focuses on the analysis and understanding of the phenomenon of rituals within the educational process in primary school. In the theoretical part, an introduction is made to the issue of rituals in general, with an emphasis on their occurrence in different cultures and societies. The concept of ritual is further defined, through the definition, functions and types of rituals, not only in the context of education, but also in the perspective of sociology, anthropology, psychology and theology. The theoretical section also explores the context of rituals in the educational process, including the hidden curriculum, school culture, social interactions and the socialization process. In the empirical part of the work, a research problem is formulated that focuses on identifying rituals in the school environment and their function, and examining the relationships between rituals and the educational process. The research objectives are specified to address key issues and contribute to a deeper understanding of the issue. This work is a pedagogically-philosofical essay, which attempt to map to what extent ritual was and is the part of a human life, if there is still potentiality to "bet" on its curative and healing power and how much we are as humans entities rather naturally spiritual (homo spiritualis) or merely sort of indoctrinatedly essence largely rational (homo sapiens). And also to put down several questions regarding to the meaning and functions of ritual, his actuality and necessity or dispensability. Further few questions relating to existence of emotions and problematics of emotional wounds according to traumatic experience. The bachelor's thesis focuses on distance learning at the secondary level of Czech schools. The theoretical part of the thesis is aimed at explaining the concepts and forms of education encountered in the Czech Republic. It also describes the historical mapping of distance learning and its development, which is closely linked to technological advancements. The thesis also addresses the course of distance learning and its implementation during the Covid-19 pandemic. Emphasis is placed on the terminology of distance learning and its integration with other forms of education. The thesis includes an empirical investigation conducted using a quantitative method in the form of a self-constructed questionnaire. Development of a system for preparing young adults growing up in institutional care for independent living

In its theoretical part, the diploma thesis deals with the issue of teenage children who growing up in institutional care, and their readiness for an independent life. It discusses difficulties, with which a young person who grew up outside the family environment has to face. It focuses on the concept of supporting and preparing adolescents in institutional care to enter independent life. Based of theoretical and practical knowledge of the author of the work, the diploma thesis describes the development of the assistance system and of support to these young people from the nineties of the 20th century until now and suggests further direction of help system. The empirical part presents the results of the research that is carried out by the method of content analysis of professional texts related to the defined issue. The main goal of this thesis is to point out the danger and seriousness of bullying. An attempt to grasp the basic issue of bullied teachers, to map their experiences, to find out to what extent this negative phenomenon really takes place and how it is affected by the tolerance of violent behavior in the family. The diploma thesis deals with the issue of bullying, when a teacher finds himself in the role of a victim. The teaching profession is not exactly the easiest, on the contrary, especially nowadays. The theoretical part of the thesis consists of four main chapters. The first chapter explains basic concepts, including school climate, bullying, cyberbullying and aggression. These are the terms climate in the school environment, bullying, cyberbullying and aggression. The second chapter mainly describes the school and classroom climate, which can be understood as the basis for the quality of interpersonal relationships and social processes in a given school. Chomutov Grammar school after 1948-An exploration of the Ethnic and social conditions at the Czech school in the border area

(in English): The work captures the issue of the social context of high school studies in Chomutov in the period from 1948 to the present. It focuses on the social and national aspects of Czech-German relations in education, thematically following on from the bachelor's thesis "National Relations at the Chomutov Gymnasium in the years 1918-1948". Based on all contemporary sources and sources, they try to clarify the local specifics, approximate national differences and point to the social peculiarities of certain historical stages. It represents in great detail a well-recognized secondary school with a historical tradition, reminiscent of the historical gymnasium, founded in 1591 and the only one of its kind in Central Europe at the time. The work also mentions the problematic displacement of the German population and the resulting slow settlement of the Chomutov region. These factors both significantly impacted the school's running in the first years after the war. It clarifies some burning social and national issues of 1945, brings statistical data on the states and numbers of students and teachers and notes the historical changes of the gymnasium, especially in 1968 and 1989. Mental health in education and training within the school environment

The thesis is of a theoretical-empirical nature and focuses on the level of upbringing and education during adolescence, that is, so-called mental literacy. The theoretical part defines the basic thematic areas arising from the empirical part, and at the same time, it is a synthesis of professional literature dealing with psychosocial development, and the current development of education in a school environment. Space is also preserved for the analysis and evolution of methodological tools for evaluating mental literacy and the well-being of children and adolescents. Both foreign and Czech education systems as well as the healthcare system are constantly evolving in an effort to respond to current development and the needs of the population in line with modern approaches and current scientific knowledge. Elementary school approach to the theme of death and dying

This diploma thesis aims to describe the approaches elementary schools currently take regarding the topic of death and dying based on academic literature and current research studies. Furthermore, it provides an overview of legal documents which focus on teaching about death and demarcate the role of school in the instances of their pupils' significant losses. The thesis introduces a knowledge base necessary for covering the topic of death in elementary school. The thesis focuses both on teaching about death as well as dealing with situations associated with a death of a person in relation to school. The thesis also provides a design proposal for a teacher's course focusing on these topics based on the theoretical knowledge and the needs articulated in contemporary research studies.
