I. Abstract and Key words This bachelor thesis deals with the linguistic picture of dog in czech and russian language. The thesis is based on the theory of cognitive linguistics, especially on theory of semantic school of Lublin. Linguistic part of this thesis is based on the analysis of the Czech dictionaries (etymological, explanatory, synonymical and phraseological dictionaries) with the brief addition of the symbolism of dog. The conclusion presents a cognitive definition of the koncept dog. Language of advertising

This work is devoted to the Russian language advertising, which examines in an independent system. It aims are analyzing the text of Russian advertising in terms of its information and formal structure. It focuses on a specific aesthetic qualities of language, which the text uses. Work is further focused on the categorization of neologisms and neologisation of the Russian advertising. Next focus is on loanwords from the English language. Used research methods are descriptive and comparative. The outcome of this work is the systematization of information and the formal structure in the advertising text, we have also been shown to frequent infiltration of artistic means in the language of advertising and its active neologisation. Work can be used as a suitable basis for specifics in Russian advertising texts or a different language studies, possibly for development of marketing strategies and marketing research.

The subject of bachelor thesis is work of Russian writer Vladimir Sorokin. This thesis focuses on translation and common problems associated with it. It's divided into two coherent parts. First one is devoted to the translation alone and second contains my personal commentary, both to the original and translated text. Goal of this thesis is to highlight author's specific style of writting and his expressions, thus creating preconditions for the possible future translation of selected book. Anglicisms in Programs of Czech and Russian Commercial Radios

The aim of this thesis is to show, on the basis of selected words, how the borrowed Anglicisms are used in the Russian and the Czech language. The goal is to familiarize the reader with neologisms, in particular with their creation and adaptation in the two languages. On the selected fifteen words we show how the borrowed words are used in both languages and how their integration to the language is similar. In the thesis we have shown the significance of Anglicisms in the languages and the possibilities of their derivatives and adaptation to the given system of the language. The main result of the thesis is a list of words which enables us to observe linguistic tendencies of borrowed words in the past decades. This list enriches the reader with borrowed words that are not so frequent for the reader to know them. Living legacy of Michael Chekhov acting method

(in English): This Bachelor's thesis called Living legacy of Michael Chekhov acting method is divided into three thematic units. The first unit presents so called Stanislavski's system, the first complex conception of modern acting method, developed by Konstantin Sergeievich Stanislavski during his time in Moscow Art Theatre. The second unit apprises the readers with life and especially the method of one of the Stanislavski's followers Mikhail Aleksandrovich Chekhov. The objective of this thesis is to find out whether the legacy of Chekhov's acting method is still alive. The research is presented in the final unit which describes the acting studios founded by Chekhov himself during his life but also another existing studios around the world.

Derivation of deanthroponymic personal names in Russian and Czech from foreign anthroponyms on web pages, related to films, TV-series and fanfiction

(in English) The aim of the diploma thesis is to reveal the particularities in the derivation of hypocorisms from names of foreign origin in Czech and in Russian on websites, related to films, TV-series and fanfiction. The first part of the diploma thesis is dedicated to the theoretical questions such as the difference in the semantics of hypocorisms and official personal names, the methods of derivation, typical for hypocorisms in Czech and in Russian and their usage. In the second part, the derivation of hypocorisms from names of foreign origin in Czech and in Russian on websites, related to films, TV-series and fanfiction is revealed.

Comparison of the translations of realia in the fictional universe of Harry Potter

The subject of this thesis is the "Comparison of the translations of realia in the fictional universe of Harry Potter". The main aim is to divide the realia found in Harry Potter books into thematic categories and thencarry out translation analysis to estimate translation solutions. This analysis is created through the prism of English. This thesis consists of three parts. The first part covers the general concepts of the theory of translation. The second part contains a brief biography of J. K. Rowling, the definition of fantasy, and an overview of the history of the four translations. The third part presents a comparison of the translation from English into two variations of Russian, Czech, and Ukrainian. In the thesis conclusion, we will summarize and estimate which translation solution of the four is more accurate, based on the carried out analysis of the translation examples discussed in part three. Animals onomatopoeia : a comparison in Russian, Ukrainian and Czech languages.

The aim of this work is to research differences in animal onomatopoeia in some Slavic languages, as well as the differences between the hearing perception of native speakers of different languages. The comparative picture of onomatopoeia is presented in three Slavic languages, two of them are East Slavic (Russian, Ukrainian) and one is West Slavic (Czech). The theoretical part is devoted to the research of onomatopoeia inclusion into the general language structure. The theory is based on a practical comparison of animal onomatopoeia. The bachelor's work on the topic «Film Names: translation problem» studies and describes the pragmatics ofthe names of English films into Russian and Czech. The purpose of this research is to determine the specifics of the translation of films names from English into Russian and Czech, to explain the reasons for the differences in the translation, to describe the specifics of the emerging trends in the translation of film names. This work consists of two parts: theoretic and practical. The theoretical part describes the problem of translating films titles and its features. In the practical part, specific examples of movie namesselected by rating and release date of the film are. Materials were taken from the websites of IMDb and Česko-slovenská filmová databáze.
