Evaluation of postural stability in modern dance dancers

Title: Evaluation of postural stability in modern dance dancers Objectives: The aim of this Diploma thesis is to objectivly evaluate and compare ability of dynamic and static postural stability between modern dancers (women only) and normal healthy population (women only), who don't do any sport activities on a regular basis. Another aim of this study is to evaluate whether the personal preferences of the standing lower limb, used in performing dance piruettes, will affect the load on the lower limbs and it's stability, during testing static and dynamic postural stability. Methods: This thesis is quantitative observational cross-sectional study involved 40 women between 18-29 years. Experimental group included women dancers (n1=20) and control group included women non-athletes from faculty (n2=20). For objective measure of postural stability was used NeruCom Smart EquiTest and following five measuring protocols: Sensory Organization Test, Motor Control Test, Unilateral Stance Test, Limits of Stability a Weight Bearing Squat. Results of measurement was statistically processed in Microsoft Excel 2016 for each group and then compared between groups. Salivary proteins of sand flies and the immune aspects of Leishmania transmission

Sand flies serve as the vectors of leishmaniasis and their saliva was shown to affect the outcome of Leishmania infection by immunomodulation of the host. On the other hand, sand fly saliva contains a large scale of farmacologically active proteins that are strongly immunogenous for bitten hosts and specific anti-saliva immunity initiated by repeated sand fly feeding provides protection against Leishmania infection. Specific cell-mediated immunity was shown to be the core of the protectivity; however, our data suggests that the protective immunity has certain limitations. In mice bitten by sand flies for prolonged periods, we observed the desenzitization in term of abrogation of the protective immunity. Thus, we can speculate that the protective effect of immunity is linked solely with the short-term exposure. Nevertheless, our experiments showed that this aspect is also conditioned by the immediate infection after the protective short-term immunization. Taken together, it seems that these limitations may explain the circulation of leishmaniasis in endemic areas, even though humans and animals are frequently immunized by bites of uninfected sand flies. Abstrakt of bachelor thesis: An aim of a thesis is screening of individual conventional physiotherapeutic units and robotic-assisted rehabilitation. The screening of ergotherapy units was also included for a more comprehensive picture. The bachalor thesis is focused on upper limb therapy and the aim is to compare the intensity of the conventional therapy lead by therpist and intensity of robotic assisted rehabilitation lead by robotic system. Specifically, the time spent on upper limb training during therapy and the number of repetitive movements in each segment of the upper limb was compared. The bachelor thesis consists of two parts, theoretical and practical.
