Effect of moisture on the electrical properties of silicate composites
Karlíková, Helena ; Kusák, Ivo (referee) ; Rovnaník, Pavel (advisor)
This work deals with study on the dependence of electrical properties on the moisture content in silicate composites. The theoretical part contains information about the electrical properties of cement-based and alkali-activated binders, as well as knowledge on moisture parameters and the presence of moisture in the material structure. Samples of cement-based mortars and alkali-activated slag with a graphite powder in the range of 0–18 per cent by weight were produced and quartz sand was used as filler in the experimental part. The samples were provided with copper electrodes and saturated with water after hardening. The electrical properties of the mortars were monitored by means of impedance spectroscopy during the gradual drying of the samples. The effect of microstructure has been studied using scanning electron microscopy and mercury intrusion porosimetry. The results indicate that a significant increase in electrical resistance occurs only when the relative sorption humidity content is below 20 per cent in the 40–5000 Hz frequency range.
Etymological research into Czech. Proceedings of the Etymological Symposium Brno 2017, 12-14 September 2017, Brno
Janyšková, Ilona ; Karlíková, Helena ; Boček, Vít
The contributions included in this book were presented at the international scientific conference Etymological Symposium Brno 2017, with the subtitle Etymological Research into Czech. It was organized by the Department of Etymology of the Institute of the Czech Language of AS CR in Brno as a part of the project of the Czech Science Foundation Etymological Dictionary of the Old Church Slavonic Language: Summing up a Generational Project.
Dance in the lexicon of our ancestors
Karlíková, Helena
The paper deals with the etymological analysis of some Czech words with the meaning of dance.
Japanese words in Czech lexicon
Karlíková, Helena
The goal of the contribution is to collect most of the Czech words of Japanese origin and to explicate their origin. They are internationalisms introduced into Czech through modern European languages.
Theory and empiricism in Slavonic diachronic linguistics
Janyšková, Ilona ; Karlíková, Helena
The topic of the present volume is theory and empiricism in Slavonic diachronic linguistics. The authors of the papers deal with theoretical issues of diachronic linguistics illustrated primarily by the Slavonic language data or with empirical questions of Slavonic diachronic liguistics leading to general theoretical conclusions.
