Sport downhill cart for the disabled
Šantavý, Ivo ; Kloss, Ondřej (referee) ; Kaplan, Zdeněk (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis deals with the development of a "Sport downhill cart for the disabled" prototype. This project was jointly inspired by Human Power Vehicles and by components from various industry sectors. After a description of the above mentioned vehicles, the work describes the successive development of the cart, including construction solution, and a component and frame modeling in the CAD system Autodesk Inventor. The total calculation of the entire "Sport downhill cart for the disabled" is presented in the conclusion.
Identification of multiparameter rheological models of automotive elastomeric components
Svoboda, Jan ; Kaplan, Zdeněk (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
In this thesis, the goal is to describe behavior of a elastomers used in automotive indrustry. We will approximate nonlinear dynamic values using combination of linear reological models. Then we will determine these linear values using optimization algorithms.
Electric generator cooling
Ondráček, Vladimír ; Hubáček, Tomáš (referee) ; Kaplan, Zdeněk (advisor)
This work is focused on proposal and optimalized of high speed electric generator. This electric generator is developing for turboproppeler engine TP 100. Bachelor work discuss about electric generator different variants in dependence on request parameters as are minimum weight, housing dimensions, complexity, production difficulties, large temperature working range and environmental condition (humidity, dust, etc.). Cooling body is designed in Pro /Engineer CAD System and than optimalised in Pro /Engineers module Mechanica lite.
Electric drives in commercial vehicles and buses
Bahenský, Štěpán ; Kaplan, Zdeněk (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on electric and hybrid powertrains, which are used in utility vehicles and buses. According to this bachelor thesis is divided into two main parts. The first part deals with pure electric drives and its basic components. The subchapters describe various types of engines that are commonly used, but also the features and technologies of batteries. The second part deals with hybrid technologies, division according to the arrangement of components in vehicles, advantages and disadvantages of these solutions. Attention is also paid to the possibilities of battery systems. At the end of both parts, there are examples of commercial vehicles and buses with appropriate motorization, their comparison with competing models and a list of chosen technical parameters. The final chapter summarizes the current direction of the market and its further possible development in the future.
Accumulation of energy
Neuman, Tomáš ; Kloss, Ondřej (referee) ; Kaplan, Zdeněk (advisor)
This bachelor thesis comprises a technical retrieval of overview of energy accumulation usable in cars. The basic characteristics and problems of particular kinds of accumulators and ways of accumulation are brought in this thesis, describing characteristics of lead accumulator, the structure and composition of electromobiles and appropriate batteries. In the following part the description of heat and hydrogen accumulator is stated. The end of this bachelor thesis is dedicated to mechanical accumulator.
Renewal energy in HPV
Bittner, Ivo ; Vorel, Pavel (referee) ; Kaplan, Zdeněk (advisor)
This thesis deals with comprehensive study and design of recovery system of a road vehicle powered by human power. It contains an overview of different types of heat recovery devices, their characteristics, advantages, disadvantages and applicability in the construction of such a vehicle.
Car Front Axle Driveline Gearbox
Černuško, Lukáš ; Černý, Jiří (referee) ; Kaplan, Zdeněk (advisor)
Goal of the Master Thesis was to design conception of electric vehicle driveline, which is able of torque vectoring between each wheel independently and to design front axle gearbox. The aim was to use up the car on race track and to test dynamic properties of electric vehicle for follow-up development. Due to determined requirements and possible solutions the conception of driveline was designed and basic parameters were defined. The main part of the thesis contains a design of gearbox including strength calculation of gearing, the control of shafts to fatigue and elasticity limiting states, life of selected bearings. Gearbox case was subjected to FEM analysis. The last chapter uses simulation to gain vehicle acceleration. Designed electric driveline is applicable to other sport vehicles after some modifications.
Hydrogen and automobiles
Břoušek, Lukáš ; Kloss, Ondřej (referee) ; Kaplan, Zdeněk (advisor)
The purpose of this thesis is to demonstrate the possibilities of hydrogen-based gear in personal cars. The thesis also describes the hydrogen from the perspective of the characteristics, the form of production, conserving, distributing and its utilization. Furthermore, in more details are described and compared currently well-known hydrogen-based devices, for this purpose the complex analysis Well to Wheel will be used. Final part of this publication will be devoted to evaluation of this analysis and also the thesis will outline what are the probable trends of the hydrogen-based technologies.
Engines for ultralight airplanes
Voltr, Martin ; Kaplan, Zdeněk (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the collection of information about the power units for ultralight aircrafts. It deals with their design solutions, technical parameters and usability. In the next part we will find a comparison of these units according to the characteristic parameters. The work also briefly describes the history, legislation and issues of ultralight aircrafts and their propulsion units.
Analysis of Stirling cycle
Hazda, Jakub ; Kloss, Ondřej (referee) ; Kaplan, Zdeněk (advisor)
This paper deals with the thermodynamic cycle of Striling engine. Analysis of the ideal cycle, Schmidt analysis and second-order method with loss correction by PROSA 2.4 software is applied. The results are compared with experimental data of two model engines.
