The Tool for Assessing the Neatness of Source Code
Jahoda, David ; Smrčka, Aleš (referee) ; Veigend, Petr (advisor)
This work deals with creation of tool that would allow the checking and evaluation of neatness of source codes in the C language. The primary user group are students of Introduction to Programming Systems (IZP). The implementation considers the use of Clang-Tidy tool (extended with custom set of checks) and program that evaluates results of checks based on the input configuration. The created program is capable of scoring source code using 16 checks according to the configuration. These checks detect various beginners errors. Testing of the student projects revealed that the most common error is the use of so-called magic numbers. The program can be deployed in the Introduction to Programming Systems (IZP) course with appropriate student instruction.
Mitigated infection in so called aseptic loosening of the total endoprosthesis of the big joints
Koudela, Karel ; Koudela, Karel (advisor) ; Jahoda, David (referee) ; Podškubka, Aleš (referee)
The theme of the work is infection in the aseptic loosening of total joint replacement of large joints. Thesis topic is very timely, since inflammatory complications accompanying large joint arthroplasty is one of the causes of failure of total joint replacement and subsequent revision surgery represents a major problem of health, social and economic. PhD thesis summarizes the known aspects of this issue.
Factors with negative impact on functional outcome and mortality in elderly pati ens treated surgically for proximal femoral fracture: their identification and r elevance for prevention
Kopp, Lubomír ; Čelko, Alexander (advisor) ; Janout, Vladimír (referee) ; Jahoda, David (referee)
AIM: Increase in one-year mortality following proximal femoral fractures in elderly patients was seen in many studies. Identification of factors increasing the risk of mortality is decisive for prognosis of these patients. Our aim was to identify significance of single factors on shortening of survival time and worsening of functional outcome. We have dominantly concentrated on influence of pressure sores and impairment of cognitive functions. METHODS: In a prospective consecutive manner, we have observed 275 patients treated in our department in period from January 2003 to June 2005. We have observed altogether 25 prehospitalisation, hospitalisation and posthospitalisation factors. Using statistical tests (log-rank, Mann-Whitney, logistic regression), we have analysed relationship between length of survival and different observed factors on a 5 % level of significance. RESULTS: In our study, we have identified factors significantly shortening survival time. These were: age, male sex, comorbidities, decreased mobility before injury, acute general complications, development of pressure sores after surgery, insufficiency of osteosynthesis requiring revision surgery, deep wound infection and low ADL and MMSE scores. CONCLUSION: Our study has identified simple predictors of poor functional outcome and...
Hemarthrosis in hemophilia: new treatment methods and the effect of hemarthroses repetition on joints sensitivity
Teyssler, Petr ; Bobek, Vladimír (advisor) ; Jahoda, David (referee) ; Komrska, Vladimír (referee)
Intraarticular bleeding is a complication, that concerns almost every person with haemophilia. The number and heaviness of them depends on the grade of illness and on presence of inhibitor. Presence of blood inside joint cavity leads to destruction of joint cartilage and haemophilic artropathy occures. Consequent events are as follows: bleeding - synovial irritation - re-bleeding - chronic haemophilic synovitis - haemophilic artropathy. There are four main targets of this work: 1. to summarize the possibilities of treatment of chronic haemophilic artropathy with radionuclides and to rise indication criteria for that kind of treatment, 2. to evaluace retrospectively long term efficacy od radiation synovectomy with corelation to other methods of treatment, 3. to find out, if platelet-rich-plasma therapy is effective in chronic haemophilic artropathy and 4. to find out, what is the effect of repeated intraarticular bleedings on joints sensitivity. 4 hypothesis are pronounced and methodology of their confirmation or disprove is described. There are results presented of prospective study of radiation synovectomy including recommendation of treatment indication. Further, this method is compared to other ones, from the point of view of the long term efficacy in retrospective study. Beneficial effect of...

Utilization of local carriers of antibiotics for treatment of infection of locomotive apparatus
Melicherčík, Pavel ; Jahoda, David (advisor) ; Koudela, Karel (referee) ; Džupa, Valér (referee)
Infections of locomotive apparatus presents serious problem in orthopeadic and traumatology for a typical course with recidivisms and often evolution to bacterial resistance. Eradication of bacterial causers of infections of locomotive apparatus not have to be always reliable. One of possibility how to increase therapeutic potential is utilization a local aplication of antibiotics. Aim of dessertation thesis is verify influence of released glycopeptide antibiotic vancomycin from bone grafts in experiment in vitro after previous comparasion of properties in 34 chosen carriers from point of view both material constitution and elution characterization for different antibiotics on the strength of sources from accessible literature. The most widespread used local carrier of antibiotics is bone cement intended firstly to solve infections of alloplasties by two-stroke reimplantation. There is necessary subsequent its extraction compared to newer, biodegradable carriers. The best properties from a view of criteria suitable local carrier of antibiotics in orthopeadic and traumatology have carriers composed from several sort of materials, so-called composites. On the strength of results performed experiment we verified that bone grafts could be a good local carrier of vancomycin. Highest average...
