Accuracy of non-contacting Temperature Measurement
Horák, Ladislav ; Janečka, Jan (referee) ; Vdoleček, František (advisor)
This master’s thesis is specialized on the influence of correct parameters of emissivity, which depends on the temperature, wavelength and ambient environment. The investigation the parameter was taken infrared non-contact thermometer MI3 from company Raytek. To improve the quality of measurement was designed and programmed measuring utility program. The program was developed in the LabView 8.5 programming environment. To obtain the true value of the measured temperature of the target was designed and constructed the touch thermometer with the resistance dependent sensor. The thermometer is connected to the communication box of infrared thermometer and contain the same program. Nowadays are the most advanced IR thermometer with fixed parameters emissivity, which is applicable just to the real body in the vicinity of the parameter emissivity 0,95. For those IR thermometers were designed correction function, which would have temperature measured at a fixed emissivity parameter 0,95 set close to the actual value of the object.
Control Software for multimeter 34410 A
Horák, Ladislav ; Čejka, Miloslav (referee) ; Keprt, Jiří (advisor)
The thesis deals with development of Control Software for multimeter 34410 A and manual for its usage. The first part of the thesis is focused on theoretical problems of individual parts of the whole measuring system. The possibilities of setting of multimeter and his communication with control section through interface are shown. Development environment LabView 7.1 is also briefly described. The second part of the thesis deals with problems of Control Software for multimeter 34410 A. The selection of measuring and its detail options are described. It is also outlined the setting of extended functions, which multimeter enables to use. The third part of the thesis deals with validation measuring according to requirements for measuring of laboratory-type power source (DIAMETRAL) in its whole range. Individual measuring were process to tables and shown in graphs. Calculations of uncertainty types A, B and total combined uncertainty are presented.
Autoflurescence spectroscopy of colorectal carcinoma
Ducháč, Vítězslav ; Horák, Ladislav (advisor) ; Hoch, Jiří (referee) ; Poučková, Pavla (referee)
The submitted dissertation addresses the issue of autofluorescence diagnostics of colorectal carcinoma. The following objectives were set: to verify the possibilities of exploiting the autofluorescence properties of normal colon tissue and tissue changed by tumour to differentiate them and to verify the possibility of using an experimentally created portable measuring set to carry out an "optical biopsy" during the colorectal carcinoma operation. The project solution was divided into three phases: Phase I focused on experimental verification of the fluorescence characteristics of normal colorectal tissue and tissue changed by tumour with the use of argon and a helium-neon laser. The obtained values confirmed the possibility to differentiate not only in terms of quality (change in the spectral curve) but quantity as well (change in intensity of the autofluorescence emission at selected wavelengths). When excited by the He-Ne laser, an approx. 30 a.u. contribution was observed practically throughout the measured interval, the maximum being between 670 - 700 nm, which corresponds to the fluorescence spectre of porphyrins. Normal tissue did not show hardly any activity. When the Ar laser was used, intensity discriminant values ranged only in individual units. Phase II was devoted to verification of the...

Preclinical assesment of phthalocyanine for photodynamic therapy of rectal carc inoma
Štukavec, Jan ; Horák, Ladislav (advisor) ; Beneš, Jiří (referee) ; Dítě, Petr (referee) ; Jelínková, Helena (referee)
The present work includes research photodynamic therapy (PDT) colorectal carcinoma. The actual experiment was conducted in collaboration with the Institute of Biophysics and Informatics 1st in 2005-2008. Colorectal cancer is the most common malignancy of the Czech population. Risk of disease of colorectal cancer in the Czech population reaches 5.9% and still growing. Still is a large group patients with advanced cancer (approximately 30% of patients), which is indicated only palliative therapy. One of the most common procedure in patients with advanced cancer is the foundation of the stoma, which significantly extends the life of the patient. Photodynamic therapy is already used by default. We focused on the possibility of treatment of colorectal cancer phthalocyanine, which is among photosensitisers second generation with a rapid uptake in the tumor specimen. The aim of current research is to improve screening and to design new treatments that would achieve better results than existing procedures. PDT can improve the quality of life and in patients with advanced malignant disease and prolong survival interval.
