Hanus, Jan ; Martens, Radek (referee) ; Ptáček, Roman (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the evaluation of the investments realization and financing of the investment to build the new hall with production line to achieving the expansion of production. The thesis includes assessment of the company´s financial situation, evaluation of the effectiveness of the investment plan. The essence of the thesis is to appropriate way of realizing the investments and determine economic benefit.
Possibilities of the external cooling of a pressure vessel in case of the accident with active zone melting
Hanuš, Jan ; Suk, Ladislav (referee) ; Martinec, Jiří (advisor)
The accident at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant has shown us that there may be situations where the applied technology will not be able to successfully cool the reactor core. These situations may occur when more elements such as supply of energy to power the pumps and diesel generators are destroyed for example by tsunami or earthquake, or other not expected natural disasters. The inability of the residual heat removal leads to the melting of core, relocation to the bottom of reactor pressure vessel (RPV) and failure of RPV. Result of this accident may be containment failure and leakage of fission products into the environment. One way to prevent this scenario may be a passive system called IVR (In-Vessel Retention) by using external cooling of RPV that retains melted core in. This system counts with flooding of RPV´s shaft by water. After natural circulation of water provides the heat transfers from the wall of RPV. The applicability of IVR for VVER 1000 reactors is still in the course of research. However it´s already clear that the submersion of RPV shaft by water will not sufficient. Other elements as suitable insulation and RPV coating which provides a more intensive heat transfer from the walls of RPV will be needed.
Systematic approach for medical waste-to-energy processing
Hanus, Jan ; Krejčí, Tomáš (referee) ; Krňávek, Martin (advisor)
This master thesis deals with the current situation of medical waste management in the Czech Republic and available medical waste treatment methods. The first part summarises the legislation of waste treatment and contains an analysis of the current situation of medical waste management in the Czech Republic and comparison to the situation in the European Union. The second part describes medical waste treatment methods and following technologies for energy utilization when thermal treatment method is applied. In the main part of this thesis, a complex medical waste-to-energy system in a model region is designed according to the input data. The design includes description of the collecting and transportation system of the waste, capacity of the unit and suitable thermal treatment and heat utilization technology choice. A calculation model is created for the proposed unit and based on this model, an analysis on energy utilization effectivity is made. As a result of the thesis, environmental, technical and economical assessment is created based on the estimation of the investment and operating costs.
Airless Tires
Hanus, Jan ; Pacal, Bohumil (referee) ; Molliková, Eva (advisor)
The aim of this bachleor thesis was describing options of constructing the airless tire with inner structure, finding out its properties and comparision with conventional tire. The first part deals with the historical development of the airless tire structure. The second part describes ways to design the inner structure with focus on the honeycomb type. The comparison of airless and conventional tire properties is stated in the end of this bachleor thesis.
Bussines Plan
Hanuš, Jan ; Kostoláni, Rastislav (referee) ; Hanušová, Helena (advisor)
My graduation thesis deals with the questions of opening a new youth hostel. The objective of my thesis is to create the company which runs a hostel. The first part contents theoretic introduction to the problems and definitions of the esential concepts. The other part concerns application of the theory of setup new business in practice - processing a business plan and analysis of competition.
Nuclear power before and after the disaster of Fukushima Daiichi
Hanuš, Jan ; Moskalík, Jiří (referee) ; Martinec, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis is written about accident in Fukushima Daiichi power plant. There are described causes and consequences of this accident and also status of nuclear energy before and after this accident. The disaster at Fukushima Daiichi is compared with the disaster at Cernobyl nuclear power plant in this work too. At the end of this thesis is written technical and economical study for phase out of nuclear energy in the Czech Republic.
Assesment of a Company´s Financial Situation and Proposals for its Improvement
Hanus, Jan ; Martens, Radek (referee) ; Polák, Michal (advisor)
Bachelor thesis focuses on the assessment of the financial situation of the company AGRICOL Ltd. in the period 2009 – 2013. It uses selected methods of financial analysis to evaluating the financial situation. It provides possible solutions to eliminate deficiencies based on the achieved results and recommendations for future management of the company.
Modeling electroacoustic systems in COMSOL
Hanuš, Jan ; Honzík,, Petr (referee) ; Schimmel, Jiří (advisor)
The thesis aims to explore the simulation software COMSOL Multiphysics with relevance to the field of electroacoustics. The work covers general introduction to the software, including an outline of the principles of finite element method, which is the most widely used numerical method in COMSOL Multiphysics. It also includes a clear description of the individual steps required to create a simulation. Furthermore, the Acoustics Module is described, Pressure Acoustics physics interface in particular as it is used later on in the simulations. The AC/DC Module and its physical interface Electric Circuit is mentioned briefly as well. Finally, the simulations created by the author are explained in a step-by-step manner. These look at the impact of the membrane’s and waveguide’s geometries on the radiation of the speaker driver, and the shapes of the loudspeaker system’s enclosure with the edge diffraction phenomena in mind. The results of the individual simulations are presented using graphs and discussed afterwards.
