Effect of effluent from wastewater treatment plants on karst rivers
Schrimpelová, Kateřina ; Gruberová, Eva (referee) ; Malá, Jitka (advisor)
Karst rivers are special type of rivers because of their hydrography conditions. They usually flow from non-karst area and as soon as they reach in to the karst area they disappear underground. There, they flow through cavities until they reach the surface again. The aim of this thesis is to assess the impact of water outflow from wastewater treatment plant on karst rivers. The study was done in the central area of CHKO Moravský kras where the impact of two WWTP on a cave system Rudické propadání – Býčí skála is evaluated. As a part of this study a half-year monitoring was carried out, which consisted of water sampling once every two weeks. In total, 13 water samples were taken from 8 sampling points. Also 4 additional one-time samples were taken from the cave system. Moreover, flow rate, temperature, conductivity, oxygen concentration and pH were measured at the sampling point. Afterwards, the content of undissolved solids, CODCr, BOD, N-NH4+, N-NO2-, N-NO3-, P-PO43- and total phosphorus were determined in the samples. The change of parameters in time and during the flow in the river was observed from the measured values. The balance of pollutants in particular parts of the river was calculated. The outflow values from waste water treatment plants were compared to the emission limits for surface waters and the parameters of rivers were compared to the environmental quality standards. According to the results, it can be observed that the water quality improves after passing through the cavities. It was proven that the outflows from the observed waste water treatment plants are negatively influencing the water streams. The most serious problem is the wash up of sludge from WWTP Rudice and its consequent sedimentation in the river and/or outflow to the Rudické propadání.
Effects of Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plant at Lopac Sinkhole Cave System

The aim of this thesis is to assess the impact of water outflow from wastewater treatment plant on karst rivers. The study was done in the northern area of Moravský kras protected landscape, where the impact of WWTP Ostrov u Macochy on a cave system Lopačské propadání was studied. As a part of this study a half-year monitoring was carried out, which consisted of water sampling every two weeks. In total, 13 water samples were taken from 7 sampling points. Moreover, flow rate, temperature, conductivity, oxygen concentration and pH were measured at the sampling point. Afterwards, the content of undissolved solids, COD, BOD, N-NH4+, N-NO2-, N-NO3-, NKi and total phosphorus were determined in the samples. The change of parameters in time on the sampling points and further along the flow of the river was evaluated from the measured values. The outflow values from waste water treatment plants were compared with the emission limits for surface waters and the values of river water parameters were compared with the environmental quality standards. It wasn’t proven that the outflow from the observed waste water treatment plant is negatively influencing the water stream. The most serious problems are: -The WWTP was designed for treatment of sewage from Ostrov u Macochy, which involved separate sanitary and storm sewers. After finishing the WWTP, a uniform sewer was built. -High concentration of total phosphorus on the outflow from WWTP. -Poor quality of Lopač brook water already before the outflow vent from WWTP.
The unwillingness of addictive drug users to use Contact Center services in a small Town
GRUBEROVÁ, Eva
Contact centers in small towns register the difference in the number of addictive substances users who use the Contact center services, and in the size of the drug scene which occurs in the given locality. People do not want to be seen going to the Contact center. This diploma thesis wants to find out the main reasons which discourage addictive substances users from using the Contact center services in a small town. In the theoretical part of this work, basic terms concerning the addiction area are defined as an insight into the given issue. It also deals with the basic methods of work with addictive substances users and in more detail it deals with the individual low-threshold programs which function in the Czech Republic and use these methods.
Rights of Insurance Holder in the System of Public Health Insurance
GRUBEROVÁ, Eva
The topic of this Bachelor´s thesis are the rights of the actual insured in the system of the public health insurance. The system of the public health insurance is based on the principle of solidarity when particular payers contribute to the health insurance by different amounts hereat all actual insured have guaranteed the equal right for the providing of the necessary medical care. The basic laws adjusting the problematic of the rights of an actual insured are the law No. 48/1997, about the public health insurance and the law No. 372/2011, about the medical services. The target of the thesis was to summarize the development of the legal regulations concerning this problematic and to find out what is the opinion of the citizens from southern Bohemia of the present legal regulations. The terms concerning the public health insurance are explained in the theoretical part of the thesis. The attention is paid to the medical care and its particular kinds as it is paid, unpaid and partially paid care. The economically more demanding option of the medical care, which was cancelled on the date 5th August 2013, is analyzed in detail. The conditions of providing the medical care in the Czech Republic and abroad are explained in the following chapter, where the hinges are urgent care and essential care. The main part of the thesis is given to the rights of an insured according to the law No. 48/1997, about the public health insurance. The right of checking the provided care has been much discussed recently. It is discussed that doctors charge the health insurance companies for the medical services which they really did not do. Therefor the insured has right to ask his health insurance company for the statement of account of the provided care and in this way he is able to check his doctor. The resume of the theoretical part deals with the patient´s rights according to the law No. 372/2011, about the medical services. The quantitative research was used for the processing of the practical part. The questionaire involved 14 questions and was distributed both in electronical form and by means of the printed forms. The research group was created from by chance chosen citizens at the age from 18 from the south of Bohemia. Generally about 400 respondents took part in this research, of which 15 respondents did not meet the conditions of research, and therefore were excluded. For the research there were given three hypothesis, which were verified during the research. The first hypothesis sounded: The patients agree with the possibility to choose an economically more demanding option of the medical care. The second hypothesis sounded: The patients express the disagreement with the extension of time for the change of the health insurance company. The third hypothesis sounded: The patients evaluate positively the possibility to ask for the statement of account for the provided care which is in charge of the health insurance company. On the basis of the results of the questionaire the hypothesis number 1 and 3 were confirmed, while the hypothesis number 2 was displaced. It was showed, that the patients agree with the extension of time for the change of the health insurance company. From the confirmed hypothesis number 1 flows, that the patients agree with the possibility to choose the more economically demanding option of the medical care. At the hypothesis number 3 almost all the respondents agreed that they appreciate the possibility to ask for the statement of account for the provided care. The thesis could serve as an informative brochure for the public or as a educational material for students.
