Velký důraz, který je po roce 1989 kladen na dodržováni lidských práv, se velmi výrazně odrazil i v oblasti sociálních služeb. Posilování práv občanů, uživatelů sociálních služeb, pak v průběhu 90. let 20. století nalézalo svoje vyjádření v dokumentech, jejichž cílem bylo velmi individualizovaným způsobem podpořit sociální začleňování občanů a jejich uplatnění ve společnosti. Jedním z cílů sociálních služeb se stalo umožnění důstojného života občanům tak, aby mohli prosazovat svá práva a oprávněné zájmy. Od ledna 2007 jsou principy, které odrážejí dobrou praxi v dodržování lidských práv a svobod v sociálních službách součástí zákona č. 108/2006 Sb., o sociálních službách a vyhlášky č. 505/2006 Sb. (příloha č. 2), a to v podobě tzv. Standardů kvality sociálních služeb. Právě v souvislosti s uvedenými změnami a požadavky na kvalitu prochází sociální služby transformací. Podobně, jako v jiných sociálních službách, bylo i v sociálních službách poskytovaných nevládní neziskovou organizací BONA, o.p.s. nutno zásadně přehodnotit praxi poskytovaných služeb. Evaluating the effectiveness the social services sheltered housing

The theme of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of the social services sheltered housing. Due to demographic developments, increasing demand for social services and increasing spending in the social sector, the effectiveness of social services will be an increasingly important topic. We can assume, that because of to these factors, there will be more pressure on social services to prove their results. This study talks about theoretical concepts of effectiveness and defines the concept of effectiveness, which could be applied in social services. The work summarizes the models of measuring effectiveness in selected countries, including the Czech Republic, and specifies the concept of effectiveness in the Carlsbad region, in which sheltered housing social services are provided. The work also defines the term "the need" of the users of the social services and presents models, that can identify those needs. The part, that determines the effectiveness of social services, is in the research section. Difficulties arising from individual planning in a particular old people's home

This diploma thesis analyzes the current situation of the individual planning of social services in a particular home for the elderly. It attempts to focus on uncovering the causes of partial failures in the individual planning process from the perspective of key employees. Therefore, the main research question of this diploma thesis is: "What are the problematic aspects of individual planning in a particular home for the elderly?" The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part is focused on the legislative basis for the social services, including a definition of home services for the elderly, quality of social services, principles and specifics of individual planning with the elderly, and the role of the key employee in the system of individual planning during the provision of social services. In the introduction of the empirical part, the choice of qualitative research strategy has been justified where the technique of collecting data was described, units of the research were defined, the main research question was operationalized, and the research organization was described. Persons with Cognitive Deficit due to Schizophrenia as a Target Group for Special Education

The present dissertation addresses the problem area of cognitive deficit occurring with clients suffering from schizophrenic illness, using the Domov residential social service running a special treatment scheme (hereinafter referred to only as the "Domov facility "). The cognitive deficit arising as a result of schizophrenia survives even in the illness remise period, and is characterized by decreased abilities in areas such as memory, attention, and executive functions. Deficit is pretty much resistant to any and all currently applied interventions, being a major predictor of the level of social and adaptive skills as well as for the ability to come into one 's own in ordinary everyday life.
The Evaluation Process of Employees in the Organizational Body of Funded Organizations

The thesis consists of a case study and focuses on the processes of assessment, training and remuneration of employees in the organizational component of a budgetary organization. The introductory part focuses on the opinion of experts on human resources management with emphasis on the areas studied. Special emphasis is placed on the evaluation process, its methods, evaluation criteria, classification, evaluator's personality and the course of evaluator's meeting with the person who is being assessed. We also focused on training and remuneration - processes following the evaluation. Concerning educational issues, we were interested in the opinions of professionals focusing on identifying the needs of training, its planning and results evaluation. Remuneration was viewed as one of the most effective tools to motivate employees in connection with the transfer of assessment to the remuneration. The application part of the thesis introduces in-depth analysis of the current levels of the evaluation process and the processes connected with it - training and remuneration of employees in the selected organization. Presented master thesis is focused on education of social workers in social services, who provide direct care for mentally handicapped people. The author of this master thesis work as a senior executive in non goverment organization Portus Praha. During her professional activity in a job position as a social work supervisor, she has gained experience related to implementation and accomplishment of quality standards in social services, as well as with human resources management, team leadership and direct work with clients. In theoretical part she describes human resources management work and introduces its specification in social services. There are legislative adjustments mentioned and briefly introduced quality standards in social services. Subsequently there is also specification of social worker job position. Practical part is a target aimed research to find out how workers feel about compulsory education in this organization. The technique of documentation study in questionnaire survey and observation were used to acquire all important data. The unavailability of social services for people with autistic spectrum disorders (ASD)

This diploma thesis is concerned with the subject of inaccessible social services for people suffering from autism spectrum disorders (hereinafter ASD) and associated challenging behavior. Emphasis is placed on the social care and services in terms of settings of the social system in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part of the thesis aims on bringing a comprehensive view of the current availability of social services for people with ASD and associated challenging behavior. Especially the definition of basic concepts along with introduction of individual actors throughout the system and a description of the current situation in the Czech Republic and in the world. The description of possible causes of the unavailability of social services for persons with ASD and associated challenging behavior is at the core of the empirical part. Data gathering and analysis are based on methods of Grounded theory. The semi-structured interviews with representatives of regions and with the social service providers are used as data sources. Conclusions of the thesis include, in particular, extreme cost and long-term staff shortages, weak legislative support, and fragmented network services planning at the county level. The dissertation deals with the issue of guest workers in the home with special regime. The work consists of a theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part deals with human resource management, as described in the literature. The essential question is to link a system of evaluation in the Organization, with the achievement of mission and objectives of the organization. The work focuses on the links between performance management and evaluation of staff. Further focuses on the evaluation criteria, the various forms and the methods of evaluation, and also on the assumptions and the skills of the evaluator, but also the assumptions of investigational agents, their ability to reflect on their work and the ability of self assessment. Conception of case management in terms of mental health center

The main goal of the Strategy for the Reform of Psychiatric Care, published in 2013 by the Ministry of Health of the Czech republic, was to improve the quality of life of people suffering from mental illness. One of the results of this strategy was the emergence of new mental health centres. These mental health centres are meant to provide individualized social and health care to people with mental illness in order to prevent or minimize their hospitalization. The service is ensured by multidisciplinary teams which include professionals such as psychiatrists, psychologists, psychiatric nurses, and social workers. Case management is supposed to be a dominant form of the service provided. The theoretical part of the thesis describes the historical context of the case management and its recent exploitation in the mental health centres in the Czech republic. The empirical part focuses on a particular multidisciplinary team applying the case management method. Through qualitative research, it aims to identify the different parts of the case management and the constraints and obstacles of its application. This thesis deals with the Regional planning of services and its contribution to the site from the point of view of participants in network of services for vulnerable children and families. Regional planning of services is one of the key activities of the project "System Development and Support of Social and Legal Child Protection Tools", which aims to support the transformation of the care system for vulnerable children into practice. The aim of this work is to find out how the participants in network of services for vulnerable children and families perceive the activity of regional planning of services, their experience and make recommendations for the implementation of regional planning. The theoretical part describes the project, the activity of regional planning of services and individual activities of the regional planner. This work focuses on the cooperation and multidisciplinary approach. A qualitative approach is used in the research. Data was collected using individual and group interviews. The research group is a sample of participants in network of services for vulnerable children and families.
