The non-professional public perception of the nurse occupation

The work deals with the theme of perception of the nurse job by public. The objective of the work is to find out what awareness of the present work of nurse is with a view of contact of job of nurse, her personal experience and at the same time the experience of neighbourhood of the respondent and with the view of the personal feature of nurse. The objective is also to conduct a survey of factors having influence on opinion of public about job of nurse. In the theoretical part the attention is paid to the definition of the term nurse especially in the connection with its relation to nursing. The overview of the historical development of nurse from the beginning of Christianity until the first half of the 19th century is presented and furthermore it is presented the origin and development of the professional nursing including the situation in Czechia. A special attention is paid to the prestige of the nurse job including the influence of the public on its formation and also the role of the mass media at forming the public meaning is dealt with. The issue of crime victim in criminology Resume The purpose of my thesis is to describe all aspects of the situation of the victims, to find some problems they have to solve and to suggest the possible solutions of these problems. I find this topic very interesting. In the past, people concerned only with perpetrators of crimes. The victims were ignored. The situation is better now, nevertheless the position of the victims is not as good as it should be. It is necessary to make some changes, mainly to prevent secondary victimization because it is a big problem the victims must deal with. It is also very important to make some changes in our legislation to improve the position of the victims. The thesis is composed of ten chapters which are divided into subchapters. The chapter one deals with victimology. The first part focuses on a history of victimology and the second part deals with its subject. The chapter two concentrates on the term Victim. Nursing care of vascular access focused to prevention of catheter sepsis

Ensuring the bloodstream is one of the most frequently indicated invasive procedures, especially in the pre-hospital emergency and intensive care. All invasive inputs are nowadays an integral part of intensive care. Despite careful daily care, vascular accesses are at risk of complications, which annually effects many patients institutionalized at intensive care units. Catheter sepsis is undoubtedly one of the most serious. Although a significant proportion of these infections are considered highly preventable, they still contribute to high morbidity and mortality among these patients. The aim of this diploma thesis is to analyse nursing care for vascular inputs. One of the partial goals is to evaluate and compare the relevance of the nursing standard of a medical facility with scientific knowledge and current recommendations of professional societies. The research method is a quantitative questionnaire survey focused on nursing staff working in the Department of Anesthesiology and Reanimation. The analysis of the vascular inputs re-dressings was performed in patients hospitalized in the same ward, where the research itself took place. Influence of bariatric surgery on the physical and mental condition of the patient

INTRODUCTION TO THE ISSUE: Obesity together with possible occurrence of many difficulties carries with it negative effect on physical and mental health. Many patients with severe obesity (class 3) cannot do physical activities or usual daily activities. These patients suffer from feelings of inferiority, decreased self-esteem and other mental issues. It could be classified as a vicious cycle for patients, but the bariatric surgery offers a way out. A gastric bypass is one of the bariatric procedures which is very helpful to reduce the weight of the patients who belongs into class 3 obesity. OBJECTIVES, METHODOLOGY: The main goal of this study was to find out if applying the gastric bypass to patients has positive or negative effect for their obesity level, quality of life, physical and mental state. The research sample was consisted of patients who were about to undergo gastric bypass. The patient's weight, BMI and body fat ratio were monitored to obtain data related to the assessment of the severity of obesity. Introduction to the issue and the importance of the topic: Emergency Department (ED) is a new type of the health care service and these departments are organized in a different way in the Czech Republic so far. However, ED is an integral part of the acute care system, and the Emergency Deaprtment is capable to ensure the continuity of care between the field and the hospital despite of the increasing atomization of medical disciplines. In recent years, it is a model that is able to deal with all acute conditions of all severity, 24 hours a day, with an adequate level of safety for patients, because they can be briefly observed at the observation unit of the ED. Education of patients with obesity

Introduction to the subject matter: Experts find obesity one of the most serious health issues of the 21st century. It increases the risks connected with both the physical and mental health (In: World Health Organization [WHO], 2020). The symptoms that most frequently accompany obesity manifest themselves in the form of metabolic syndrome which includes diabetes mellitus type 2, high blood pressure, high blood cholesterol and high level of triglycerides. Although obesity used to be considered problematic mostly in countries with high average economic income, it is gradually starting to include the developing countries as well (Pichlerová, 2013). Methodology: In my bachelor thesis, I developed a theoretical case study about the stated subject. Objektive: The thesis aims at the education of an obese patient in context of the nursing process. Result: Education of patients in the health-care institutions based on didactic methods and the patients' individual educational needs. Hepatitis E infection in hunters from wild cloven-hoofed game animals

Introduction: In the last ten years there has been a rapid increase of hepatitis E cases (hereinafter as HEV) in the Czech Republic and European Union. In accordance with findings from recent years the prevalence of this infection in boars, deer, roe deer, fallow deer and other cloven-hoofed game has risen too. Under Czech law these animals can be hunted by hunters who are the first ones to come into contact with the hunted animals in the greatest extent which entails the highest risk of infection. This Diploma Thesis deals with viral hepatitis E as an acute zoonotic virus transmissible from wild cloven-hoofed animals to hunters. The author sought to determine the level of awareness of the hunting society of the risks of infection, their awareness of this infection and protection against it to improve possible protection. The theoretic part of the Diploma Thesis deals with, including, but not limited to, basic information about viral hepatitis. For my diploma thesis I chose the topic of education of nurses in intensive care. In the field of nursing education, it was necessary to respond to new trends in the European Union. In recent years, the situation in the field of education has changed in many ways. Act No. 201/2017 Coll. it has brought a novelty that the credit system of education has been abolished and it is therefore possible to conclude that the motivation of nurses to education may have fallen. The theoretical part describes the history of intensive care in the world and in the Czech Republic. Mentioned is the history of nursing education in intensive care and the history of nursing education in the Czech Republic. The next chapter points to the current situation of intensive care, the requirements for qualification education of a nurse and the competence of a nurse specialist. The possibilities of intensive care education, including lifelong learning, are being announced. An integral part is the motivation chapter. A nursing care of chronic wounds from a nursing perspective

This theme of thesis treats about the issue of prevention, emergence, healing and therapy of chronic wounds in nursing care at intensive care unit. The occurrence of this disease is unfortunately still rising and nowadays it is an actual theme which is a part of modern nursing. The target of this thesis was to find out the level of awareness of general nurses working at specialized departments about modern technologies of therapy and care of healing chronic wounds. One of the partial targets was to find out, how are the nurses educated in nursing care o chronic wounds. The next target was looking for the factors which can influence the nurses' position of knowledge about the treatment of chronic wounds. Quantitative research was based on anonymous questionnaire in three chosen hospitals of Central Bohemia region. There were 11 departments of acute intensive care. The sample of research was based on the answers of general nurses working at resuscitation department and acute intensive care department. There were distributed 220 questionnaires and were used 124. One of the result of research was, that the 56 (45%) of general nurses has good awareness in nursing care of chronic wounds and they were interested in future education in this issue. Patient's life quality befor and after aortic valve operation

(v AJ) Introduction to the topic and importance of the topic: Aortic valve disease is the third most frequent cardiovascular disease and also the most frequently operated valvular disease in adulthood. The natural process of the disease is unfavorable, almost half of the patients suffer from symptoms of heart failure (Branny et al. 2012). This is the reason why I focused my thesis on the assessment of the quality of life of patients diagnosed of aortic stenosis. Aim of the thesis and research questions: The aim of my thesis is to evaluate the quality of life patients with diagnosed aortic valve disease, within one month before the planned surgery and in the postoperative period when patients will be checked at a cardiac surgery clinic. The partial objective at the same time was to compare the quality of life and health status of patients with aortic valve disease who have completed a spa therapy with those who have rejected it. Methodology (method, research sample): The research work will be carried out as a quantitative research in a group of 29 respondents.
