I know when I see it 2005: basic subjective and objecive factors affecting the perception of sexually explicit materials

Martin Chochola PSAV2005 : Základní subjektivní a objektivní faktory ovlivňující vnímání sexuálně explicitních materiálů 2010 AABBSSTTRRAACCTT The study "I know when I see it: basic subjective and objective factors affecting the perception of sexually explicit materials" conserns the curent issue of perception of the existence, presentation and distribution of visual and audiovisual sexually explicit materials in the Czech Republic. In the theoretical part, the psychological significance of these materials and understanding thereof is being reviewed, in the context of society alignment, politics, technology development, religion, law, sociology and psychology. The empirical part is, by means of a mapping research, focused on those basic subjective and objective factors, that affecting directly our perception of sexually explicit materials, and represents four of these factors, that are affecting demonstrably. It is the factor of socio-demographic characteristics of the consumer, his attitudes toward sexually explicit materials, sexually explicit content of specific materials and finally forms of their presentation and distribution. Women and pornography

Aims: to explore if the consumption of pornography have influence on a relationship, if the consumption of pornography have a negative impact on a first intercourse and on a initial masturbation behavior, to find out if it is a difference between younger and older women in the frequency of pornography consumption, explore if religiosity have some impact on frequency of pornography consumption and one of the aims is to disrupt the myth about primary pornography consumption by men. Method: the representative data vere collected from 413 Slovak women, the data were based on a quota sampling by agency 2muse according to three categories (age, education and address), the sample age was from 18 to 77 years old and average age was 40 years old (SD±14,62). Results: average age of first pornography consumption is 20,01 years old (SD±7,56), the most interesting age of pornography consumption is 23,44 (SD±9,12). The frequency of pornography consummation is couple of times per year for 107 (25,9%) respondents and most often is watching less than 5 minutes per day. Religiosity has a protective factor of frequency of pornography consumption depending of strengths of religious beliefs and the frequency of implementation of religious requirements. Bertsolaritza tradition in the context of language revival and politics in contemporary Basque Country

This doctoral thesis deals with bertsolaritza - Basque poetic improvization - in its relation to language revival and politics in contemporary Basque country. In terms of methodology, this paper is based on anthropological fieldwork combined with the study of secondary data. Theoretical framework uses concepts of ethnicity and nationalism, anthropology of art, theory of poetry and performance as well as concepts of political anthropology. The issue is built on three fields: history of basque nationalism, language revival and bertsolaritza. Bertsolaritza is depicted as an artistic activity that participates on the construction of collective identity of euskaldunak (speakers of Basque). The core analysis is focused on 2013 Championship (Bertsolari Txapelketa Nagusia) in improvised poetry and its link to the basque political discourse 2011-2013. Bertsolaritza is to be understood as an expression of sociopolitical reflections within the frame of izquierda abertzale (nationalist left) as well as an open artistic reflection of a variety of socially relevant issues.

Basque language in daily communication of young people

Thesis "Basque in the daily communication of young people," discusses the factors that have an impact on an use of Basque in common life. This work describes briefly the Basque region of geographic and historic perspective. The work also outlines nationalist theory and language planning. The main objective is to get as close to the practical influence on today's generation of young people who could choose education in Basque and whether there is a link with the ability to speak Basque and identity designing Basque / Euskalduna.
