Stigmatization of People Suffering from Mental Illness in Work Life

5 Abstract The bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of stigmatization of persons with mental illness in the work life. The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to identify the causes, manifestations, consequences and possibilities of reducing the stigmatization of people with mental illness when looking for work, when starting a job, during the working career and during its termination. Part of the work is not only a description of the current situation of people with mental illness on the Czech labor market, but also an outline of the historical development of employment of people with mental illness. The thesis also deals with the basic specifics of the work process and offers a more detailed approach to the process of stigmatization and self-stigmatization. The aim of the qualitative empirical investigation is to find out, through semi-structured interviews, what factors and situations individuals with direct experience of mental illness found to be stigmatizing in their working life. This is a group of 6 respondents who have been diagnosed with a mental disorder according to MKN 10 in the past. Most of the respondents are current or former clients of the non-profit organization Fokus Praha, z.ú. Well-being and Personality Traits of the Elderly Attending University of the Third Age

The bachelor's thesis deals with the topic of well-being and personality traits of elderly people attending a university of the third age (U3A). The thesis is written in relation to factors that may have a significant role in the context of the education of elderly at U3A. The aim of the thesis is to analyse the relationship between well-being and personality traits. Additionally, it also monitors other factors that may be related to both key variables, including the length of participation in educational activities and general demographic data such as gender, age, and education. This thesis firstly examines the theoretical framework by explaining key definitions such as elderly citizens and university of the third age. It outlines characteristic of elderly students attending U3A, for example their motivation behind studying at U3A or the extent of representation of their personality traits. Subsequently, the thesis presents the concepts of personality traits of the five-factor model and well-being. Emphasis is placed on the connections between these two ideas that have been discovered by researchers thus far. Educational Needs of the Primary School Teachers

The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to specify the educational needs of primary school teachers. Firstly, the teaching profession will be introduced with an orientation towards primary school teachers according to the NSP and their competencies. The profession of the first grade primary school teacher will be characterized. Subsequently, the field of vocational education of primary school teachers, its legislative framework, content, objectives and forms will be presented. Attention is dedicated to the process of analysing the educational needs of primary school teachers. The aim of the qualitative research is to find out whether and to what extent the opportunities for vocational development cover the educational needs of primary school teachers. Data is gathered by semi-structured interviews with 13 primary school teachers. Prevention of Burnout Syndrome in Primary School Teachers

The aim of this thesis is to identify the possibilities of prevention of the occupational burnout among primary school teachers. First, the thesis provides definition of the occupational burnout, its causes, stages, manifestations, and consequences. Subsequently, it describes the occupational burnout among primary school teachers. This part introduces the teaching profession and the most common stressors and risk factors that affect this profession in relation to the occupational burnout. Next, attention is paid to the issue of prevention of the occupational burnout among primary school teachers in terms of prevention techniques and preventive educational programs. Part of the thesis is quantitative empirical research, the aim of which is to find out the personal experience of primary school teachers with prevention techniques and educational programs aimed at preventing occupational burnout. The survey respondents are teachers of five primary schools in the Central Bohemia region. The sample size is one hundred twenty-six respondents.
The Influence of Coaching on the Client's Self-efficacy

5 Abstract The bachelor thesis aims to analyse and explain how coaching positively influences client's self-efficacy. Self-efficacy or perceived personal efficacy is a set of beliefs about one's own abilities that are necessary for achieving a set goal. This paper discusses coaching, its definition in relation to other professions, the coaching principles, coaches' role, and competencies. A part of the thesis is also focused to various coaching techniques. Furthermore, the thesis develops the topic of self-efficacy, its relations to subcomponents of self-concept and puts self-efficacy in the context of other psychological concepts. Finally, the thesis presents research that clarifies how coaching positively influences client self-efficacy. The purpose of qualitative empirical investigation is to clarify, which factors of individual coaching increase the client's self-efficacy. The investigation was based on the subjective reflection of eight coaches. Results clarify that coaching techniques and their appropriate combination are the main way to increase client's self-efficacy. Employee Engagement in Relation to Different Forms of Work

This diploma thesis is mainly devoted to employee engagement and its possible relationship with working from home, or with a hybrid work regime. First of all, in the thesis, I focus on the concept of employee engagement in more detail, here I describe the three main theoretical concepts according to the authors Kahn, Maslach and Leitner and Schaufeli and Bakker. Subsequently, I describe the methods of measuring employee engagement, as well as its consequences for work organizations and the workers themselves. At the end of the chapter, I describe the possibilities of influencing the level of mployee engagement and the influence of personality factors on mployee engagement. After that, I focus on telework, again on its theoretical definition and development. Furthermore, the current legal regulation of telework in the Czech Republic is brought closer in this work. I also pay attention to the advantages and disadvantages that telework brings to the workers themselves and their work organizations, I also mention the differences in the management of workers from home. Emotional intelligence in heterosexual and non-heterosexualpeople in the context of gender identity

The main topic of the dissertation thesis is the construct of emotional intelligence which can be defined via several theoretical models out of which the well known ones are presented step by step in the theoretical part of this work. The paper also exlains the main difference between ability and trait emotional intelligence which represent two different ways, above all, for measuring the construct. The most well know tools are presented in one of the chapters too. The theoretical part of the dissertation largely elaborate on the topic of individual differences in emotional intelligence which were explored within the basic research of the construct. The purpose of the two separate studies which were conducted within the dissertation research project was to examine whether the groups of heterosexual and non-heterosexual respondents are statistically similar or different in both ability and trait emotional intelligence and in emotion regulation which is considered to be the upper component of emotional intelligence. Possibilities of Implementation of Civic Education within the Prague Sokol Units

The aim of the thesis will be to analyse adult civic education in Prague Sokol units in relation to the Reference Framework of Competences for Democratic Culture. The thesis is divided into six chapters. The first chapter deals with the characteristics of citizenship, the concept of active citizenship and civil society, including civil society organisations. The following chapter elaborates the general characteristics of civic education, its conceptualisation in European and then national documents and the historical development of this field in the Czech Republic from the end of the 19th century to the present. The third chapter focuses on the characteristics of key competences and competence models applicable in the sphere of further education. This section, devoted to the comparison of two competence models, subsequently leads to the specification of the Reference Framework of Competences for Democratic Culture, which is the basis for the empirical investigation of this thesis. The aim of the diploma thesis is to analyse the motivation of lower secondary school teachers for continuing education in the field of ICT use. The work focuses on definition and basic characteristics of the profession of primary school teacher. Furthermore, it deals with the possibilities and form of training of primary school teachers in the field of ICT and its specifics. Attention is paid to the participation of lower secondary school teachers in educational activities. An integral part of the thesis is a chapter dealing with motivation and barriers of lower secondary school teachers' participation in continuing education in the field of ICT use. The thesis includes qualitative empirical research. Its aim is to identify the motives and barriers to participation of lower secondary school teachers in continuing education in the field of ICT. The intention of the research is to explore the phenomenon of motivation in lower secondary school in selected smaller towns in the Czech Republic. Results of the research suggests that research should be paid more attention on the phenomenon of lower secondary teachers' motivation for continuing education in the field of ICT use. Mental Health Promotion in the Workplace

This thesis deals with the topic of mental health promotion in the workplace, and it aims to analyse the impact of mental health promotion interventions on the mental health of employees. In the thesis the concept of mental health is discussed and followed by the conceptual definition of the mental health promotion in the workplace. The thesis also deals with specific programmes and interventions that can be applied in the workplace to promote mental health. Quantitative empirical research is included to determine the impact of the application of mental health promotion interventions on the level of mental health from the perception of employees. The results of the empirical research indicate that the application of mental health promotion interventions does indeed have an impact on the employees' perceived level of mental health.
