Creating a 3D human model for teaching sign language
Lička, Tomáš ; Appel, Martin (referee) ; Krejsa, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis deals with developing of a mobile application for learning czech sign language. Individual signs will be shown by 3D model of human. Its movement will be based on videos where lector is demonstrating signs. By analyzing these videos, it will be achieved that the model will perform the same movement as the lector. Final mobile application will be compatible with mobile phones using Android operating system.
Design of a four-legged walking robot model
Novotný, Pavel - Jakub ; Adámek, Roman (referee) ; Appel, Martin (advisor)
This thesis deals with research in the field of quadruped robot development, creation of robot model in Simulink 3D Animation environment and design of algorithm for quadruped robot walking. This thesis develops the student project Jaromir from the year 2003 by building a robot with a parent-child bond that is more reliable for the robot's function. The thesis uses direct kinematics to develop the gait algorithm. The rotations are incrementally incremented for smooth robot motion. The objectives of this thesis were to research in the area of quadruped robot gait, create a quadruped robot model, and create a quadruped robot gait algorithm and test it in simulation.
Remote system for ignition of fireworks
Štrúbel, Dominik ; Appel, Martin (referee) ; Formánek, Martin (advisor)
The bachelor thesis focuses on design and implementation of own programmable wireless system for fireworks ignition. The research part focuses on the research of available solutions and technologies used to implement the own solution, including the used technology LoRa. The practical part of the thesis focuses on the design of the PCB and the construction. Then, building the system, programming its functions and creating a computer application for setting the ignition sequences.
Research of Methods for Significant Accereation of Parameter Estimation of Simulation Models
Appel, Martin ; Opluštil, Vladimír (referee) ; Křivánek, Václav (referee) ; Grepl, Robert (advisor)
The thesis focuses on achieving a significant speed-up in the estimation of simulation model parameter values. This is achieved through the appropriate choice of a solver that is computationally less demanding, but at the same time has an acceptable error in the range of parameter values, through the use of distribution of computations on parallel threads, heuristic methods for reducing the space of parameter values, and modification of optimization methods. In this thesis, the research related to the objectives of the thesis is first discussed, then the exact objectives of this thesis are stated and the implementation of each objective is described in separate chapters. The results of this thesis include a tool used to analyze solver choice, an analysis of parallel thread efficiency, a parallel simulation distribution tool, nine modified optimization methods, and a new tool for estimating parameter values. Finally, the results obtained are evaluated.
Design of an assistive mobile robot for following people
Šamánek, Jan David ; Appel, Martin (referee) ; Adámek, Roman (advisor)
At the beginning of the thesis, several algorithms for person tracking, gesture detection, and person tracking are presented. The following section focuses on the description of the created program. Namely, the implementation of person detection, gesture detection, person tracking, and program application to the robotic platform. This work also handles the control of the robotic platform based on the outputs of the created program.
Design and implementation of an automatic guitar tuner
Zatloukal, Tomáš ; Formánek, Martin (referee) ; Appel, Martin (advisor)
Goals of this thesis are design and realization of automatic guitar tuner. First, a research was carried on of availalbe tuners and sensors on the market, which is followed up by design of the hardware and software. The device processes sound emitted by string and turns guitar’s machine head via electromotor, achieving tunning. The design of the tuner is aimed to be held in one hand. Processing of entry data and control of the motor is done by development board with ESP32.
Construction of laboratory model "Ball on Spool"
Pohludka, Jan ; Appel, Martin (referee) ; Dobossy, Barnabás (advisor)
This thesis is primarily about designing laboratory model Ball on Spool. The first part of this thesis describes modelling of the system, calculation of parameters, design of the control and simulation, based on which the requirements for the actuator are determined. Secondly, this thesis outlines the design of physical model based on simulation results. All of the components used are described, together with the electrical circuit. Parameters of the physical model are estimated using measured data from experiments. The last part is about designing a control of physical model and its demonstration. This thesis also includes a user manual.
Functional HIL testing of an electronic control unit
Štramberský, Jan ; Appel, Martin (referee) ; Brablc, Martin (advisor)
This thesis deals with the functional HIL testing of a universal electronic control unit. The control unit is graphically programmed in an application in which it is possible to create state machines with pre-programmed functions. Within the scope of this work, a HIL test of the unit has been created. Signals are exchanged between the unit and PC using an input/output card. The PC runs the HIL test script in Matlab. This test verifies the firmware of the unit by checking the expected behaviour of the functions and the conditions of the transitions.
Creating a library in Simulink for measuring devices
Petr, Kryštof ; Formánek, Martin (referee) ; Appel, Martin (advisor)
This thesis deals with the creation of a library in Simulink for communication with the target device. The theoretical part describes the various options by which communication could be solved. In the practical part are the results of their mutual comparison and also variants of real-time synchronization of the simulation. The output of this work is a library for Simulink and also a set of sample tasks for easier understanding.
Educational model of a balancing platform
Lička, Tomáš ; Formánek, Martin (referee) ; Appel, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the proposal of educational model of a balancing platform with 3 DOF. Camera placed in lower part of construction scan position of the ball which is used for calculation of steps of stepper motors. Various methods of solution with its advantages and disadvantages have been described in research part of this bachelor thesis. The solution that came up from this thesis is described in the next part. Mechanical construction, electric part and main parts of program have been shown.
