The efficiency of the use of assistive devices fot the visually impaired

Rigorous work deals with the effectiveness of the use of compensatory aids for the visually impaired. The introductory chapters address the issue of visual impairment, the mapping of the condition in the area of rehabilitation and compensatory aids for the visually impaired, the legislative conditions to obtain them and the possibilities to support citizens with visual impairment in adulthood. The research investigation was, on the basis of interviews, analysis of documents and case methods identified the effectiveness of the use of the various types and types of rehabilitation and compensatory aids, their important role and irreplaceable position in the life of people with visual disabilities, including data on the most frequented, preferred aids, managing the operation of aids using state financial subsidies for their acguisition and use of Braille by visually impaired people in the context of the rapid také-up of digital technology in the area of information and communication in the 1990s with eventual influence of their written speach. Impact of ADHD of lives adults

This master's thesis deals with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in adults, and aims to describe the specific effects of this disorder on the lives of adults from their perspective. The theoretical background explores the concepts associated with ADHD, including the development of the concept of diagnosis and related terminology. It also focuses on information about the origins, development, and epidemiology of ADHD, and presents the classification of the disorder according to current diagnostic manuals. Presents the diagnosis of ADHD in the context of adulthood, including symptomatology, comorbidities, and diagnostic and treatment options. Methods of data collection, selection of the research population and analysis of the obtained information are presented. Results show that people diagnosed with ADHD perceive the impact of attention deficit disorder in most of their daily activities. Furthermore, the primary symptoms have both positive and negative effects on all areas of life. The paper presented compensatory strategies to mitigate the negative effects of ADHD and provided insight into the impact of ADHD on the lives of adults with the disorder. Acceptance of visual impairment in the productive age

The bachelor thesis consists of a theoretical and a research part. It deals with the acceptance of visual impairment in the working age, specifically looking at acquired visual impairment. The theoretical part defines congenital and acquired visual impairment, then includes the most common causes of visual impairment, its consequences and the associated psychological changes, then describes the possibilities of successful acceptance in the form of a foreign study, and finally deals with the possibilities of social rehabilitation and its forms. The aim of the research is to describe how people reflect on their process of acceptance of sight loss and what areas have influenced this acceptance and what the differences are between male and female experiences in relation to their personality traits. Using qualitative research in the form of semi-structured interviews with three respondents, it became clear that the most significant change for respondents was a change in mindset and motivation to cope with the crisis situation. Furthermore, monitoring one's own progress towards self-sufficiency and the support of those around them proved to have a great influence on the acceptance process. The comparison of trends in the education of pupils and students with mental disabilities in selected countries

The diploma thesis describes the development of trends in the education of pupils with mental disabilities in selected countries. The aim of the thesis is to describe and compare the differences within the same trend in the education of people with mental disabilities in Spain, the Czech Republic, France and Quebec. Research questions are formulated in accordance with the formulated objective. The first unit of work is devoted to trends and approaches to persons with mental disabilities in the global context and human rights in international documents. Subsequently, mental disability is defined and some psychological aspects of persons with disabilities affecting the educational process are described. The work continues by describing the development of trends in the education of people with mental disabilities in the compared countries in the context of legislative and conceptual documents and laws that relate to the topic of work. The research part of the work focuses on the analysis of texts and the comparison of parts of school laws of individual countries. Use of ergotherapy for Down's syndrome in preschool age

The diploma thesis Use of ergotherapy fro Down's syndrome in preschool age deals with the use of ergotherapy as a tool for the development of fine and gross motor skills in children with Down syndrome in preschool age. The work consists of two parts. The theoretical part defines the issue of Down syndrome, then describes the specifics of the development of a child with an intellectual disability in preschool age, with a focus on the development of fine and gross motor skills, and the last part summarizes the current knowledge about ergotherapy and its use in children with Down syndrome in preschool age. The second part describes the design of an occupational therapy program focused on the development of fine and gross motor skills in children with Down syndrome and then verifies its applicability in practice through action research. Three children wit Down syndrome aged of four to five were involved in the usability testing and their progress in individual fine and gross motor skills was compared. The results of the research show that the proposed program is usable in practice and at the same time give suggestions for its modifications for further use.
