Native Interface for Google Reader
Popela, Tomáš ; Pospíchal, Petr (referee) ; Šperka, Svatopluk (advisor)
The goal of this bachelor's thesis was to design and develope native user interface, which enables subscribing of syndicated feeds and entries from Google Reader service. Application was implemented with usage of Qt framework and it's working on common operation systems.
Automatic Generation of Wiki Pages from e-Mails and IS
Vavřínek, Aleš ; Šperka, Svatopluk (referee) ; Dytrych, Jaroslav (advisor)
This master's thesis deals with the creation of an extension to the existing information system NLPIS. A part of solution is the creation and maintenance of automatically generated pages for projects in the MediaWiki application. The data will be generated into the MediaWiki from database NLPIS information system and e-mail communications.
Self-Organization in Large Distributed Systems
Kunštátský, Martin ; Řezníček, Ivo (referee) ; Šperka, Svatopluk (advisor)
Gossip is a generic protocol which was designed for spreading information between nodes in large distributed decentralised systems. This protocol can be also used for many different applications including data aggregation, topology construction, etc. This work presents and describes a framework designed for facilitating modelling and simulation of Gossip-based systems.
Semantic Annotation of the OpenDocument Format
Nakládal, Jan ; Šperka, Svatopluk (referee) ; Schmidt, Marek (advisor)
This work is about analysis, design and implementation of application as an extension to office suite OpenOffice.org. This application allows users to view metadata RDF format found in text content and editing By using this functionality, we can see specific information about people, places or objects mentioned in the document and paste it directly into the document itself. Practical we can use this for more details information about the person used in text.
Simulation and Design of Intelligent Agents
Šperka, Svatopluk ; Rozman, Jaroslav (referee) ; Janoušek, Vladimír (advisor)
Conventional method of development which repeats phases of design, implementation and testing is not adequate for systems like intelligent agents for which complex behavior is required but specification is unclear at the beginning of development process. Incremental design of agent's model during simulation seems more suitable for it enables direct feedback in behavioral changes of a system. This interactivity speeds up development process and helps to uncover parts of a space of all models to designer - thanks to new knowledge acquired during simulation. This thesis aims to provide comparison of suitability of two agent architectures and respective platforms in context of SmallDEVS modeling and simulation framework for this methodology of development. First approach is reactive and decentralized subsumption architecture based on DEVS formalism and the second one is PNagent, framework realizing deliberative BDI architecture using Object Oriented Petri Nets.
Intelligent RSS Reader
Žouželka, Martin ; Schmidt, Marek (referee) ; Šperka, Svatopluk (advisor)
This work is especially aimed at technologies for publication and extracting web content like for example RSS and Atom. The main goal was creation of an application that makes use of these services in order to download, treat and present required messages to user. The result of this work is full-valued RSS reader implemented in Java language which provides many interesting functions.
Project Management in ExtJS
Zajíc, Jiří ; Šperka, Svatopluk (referee) ; Dytrych, Jaroslav (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis is focused on project management using Gantt charts. This issue is solved as a client-server application based on ExtJS library. This thesis suggests possibilities of ExtJS and brings a detailed description of the Gantt chart. This description brings a design of the system which covers the main principles of creating a diagram, its behaviour and drag&drop operations used for editing the chart. According to the concept the implementation is then processed and described in detail.
Neural Networks and Prediction of Time Series
Sviták, Jiří ; Šperka, Svatopluk (referee) ; Petřík, Patrik (advisor)
Bachelor's thesis studies neural networks that are used for time serie prediction. Particularly it is feedforward neural network with backpropagation learning algorithm, neural network with radial basis functions and higher order neural network. Various parameters of these networks are tested and comparised. Testing is performed on time series of historical prices of financial markets. Other neural networks and other forecasting methods of financial markets are mentioned briefly.
Visual Design of Ontologies for Semantic Web
Elliot Wave Detection
Kaleta, Marek ; Šperka, Svatopluk (referee) ; Petřík, Patrik (advisor)
This work deals with Elliott wave detection, which are statistical tool used to describe financial makret cycles and predict market trends. The work proposes methods to detect Elliott Waves and evaluetes them. From several methods of Elliott wave detection, Committee machines of multilayer perceptrons are used. Result of this work is a program, which detect Elliott impulse waves on input signal and builds hierarchy of Elliott waves.
