Integration of disabled students at Charles University in Prague since 1989
Maršálek, Michal ; Kodymová, Pavla (advisor) ; Šiklová, Jiřina (referee)
Although the situation of disabled students at universities is generally improving, the social integration of these students is still difficult in quite a number of cases. This thesis is based on the premise that one of the most important conditions of a full and fruitful experience of student life is that students should be well-informed. In view of the advantages of modern information technologies (speed, accessibility, low cost) more and more information is being conveyed via electronic media. Students are expected to take an active approach to obtaining information from these media, but as with other forms of mass diffusion of information, here too there is a risk that specific information for minority groups, including disabled students, will be overlooked. Furthermore, physical disability represents a constraint on students that makes them particularly dependent on prompt, accessible and correct information. The integration of disabled students into the university is conditioned by the creation of equal opportunities for study and other activities that are part of university life. Information provided to disabled students ought therefore to relate to the services and activities that lead to creation of these equal opportunities. This thesis focuses on university students with hearing, visual and motor...
Gypsy and employment
Současné zaměstnání našla větší část dotazovaných poměrně snadno a rychle. Větší část respondentů si práci našla za pomoci nějaké pomáhající organizace a za tuto pomoc byli velmi...

The role of Romany teaching assistants in the education of Roma children

PETR WINKLER PSYCHOSOCIAL ASPECTS OF HALLUCINOGEN USE AND AN APPROXIMATELY 40- YEAR FOLLOW-UP STUDY ON LSD SELF-EXPERIMENTATION AMONGST PROFESSIONALS IN THE MENTAL HEALTH FIELDS (Study Program: Master Social Politics and Social Work) Supervisor: PhDr. Jiřina Šiklová, CSc. Adviser: Doc. MUDr. Miloš Vojtěchovský, CSc. Opponent: Doc. MUDr. Jiří Horáček, PhD Abstract: The renaissance of hallucinogen research and use that has emerged in last two decades, introduces several challenges for the field of social work. Above all, these challenges are concerned with use of hallucinogens among laymen, for therapeutic, educational, autognostic, and heuristic purposes. The other challenge for social work is the conception, construction, and the influencing of drug policies, including programs of social prevention. Last but not least, there is the challenge of understanding and reflecting upon mental health fields' history and history of drug use in general. Hence, the goal of this paper is to provide necessary information, which will aid social workers in orienting themselves and competently handling the challenges mentioned above. This work valuates the problems related to hallucinogens from the perspective of social work. The theoretical portion, based on rigorous analysis of available literature in both - Czech and...
