Mental Health Applications and their use by University Students
Petrželková, Lenka ; Frombergerová, Anna (advisor) ; Božík, Michal (referee)
Title: Mental health applications and their use by university students Author: Bc. Lenka Petrželková Department: Psychology Supervisor: PhDr. Anna Frombergerová, Ph.D. Abstract: This thesis focuses on the use of mobile apps to promote mental health by university students. The aim of the thesis is to analyse the difficulties that university students have in accessing these apps, the positive and negative aspects they perceive about the apps and the reasons that lead students to uninstall the app or not to continue using it. The theoretical section includes chapters on the development and classification of apps, the approaches used within apps, and maps the effectiveness of these apps, their benefits, and their limitations, including ethical limitations. Within the theoretical part, specific applications are also presented and analysed, which are then the focus of the empirical part of the thesis. One of the chapters is devoted to the mental health of university students. The empirical part used a mixed research design that included two research methods, namely questionnaire and interview. Descriptive analysis was used to evaluate the quantitative data, while thematic analysis was used to analyze the interviews. As a result, the paper analyses the difficulties leading to finding a mental health support app,...
Penetrační testy a hardening webových aplikací
Markvart, Jakub
This bachelor thesis addresses the ten most common attacks, vulnerabilities and misconfigurations of web applications according to OWASP and subsequent demonstrations of these attacks. Individual vulnerability demonstrations are presented using a built methodology in the form of a penetration test to evaluate and describe the found issues in a prepared test environment. Afterwards, hardening is performed to ensure remediation so that the next test will pass without any more serious bugs and vulnerabilities.
Creating a User Interface for an Industrial Test-It-Off System
Tabaček, Jakub ; Kapinus, Michal (referee) ; Beran, Vítězslav (advisor)
This work is focused on the design, development and testing of a web interface for operators of a robotic system. To solve the problem, the most popular reactive framework React and knowledge obtained from the analysis of users and their needs were used. The output of the work is an intuitive web interface, designed according to recommended UX practices, enabling operators to simply and easily launch and monitor the progress of projects.
API Server for BUT IS
Mudrák, Ivan ; Kocman, Radim (referee) ; Dytrych, Jaroslav (advisor)
The main goal of this work is to create a new REST API for BUT IS with a user interface for its administration. This work also includes the implementation of sample endpoints for a selected study agenda. The REST API is implemented using the Nette application framework. In particular, this application framework is extended with a new routing algorithm, support for automatic data serialization and deserialization, and support for automapping. This work also includes an automatic generation of documentation according to the OpenAPI specification to simplify the development and use of the new REST API. The outcome of this work is a new REST API that simplifies the addition of new read and write endpoints.
Web applications supporting education of signal processing fundamentals
Kuře, Dominik ; Ištvánek, Matěj (referee) ; Rajmic, Pavel (advisor)
The main topic of the thesis is the creation of four web applications which are used as learning material for students who are studying the basics of signal processing. The areas on which the thesis focuses on are root mean square and expected value of signals, basic signal operations (amplification, geometric translation, scale change), the effect these operations have on the Fourier series of the given signal and also resampling of a signal using different methods of interpolation (nearest neighbour method, linear interpolation, cubic interpolation and interpolation using the sinc function). These applications are implemented using the TypeScript programming language which is an extension of the JavaScript language which enhances it with static types. Other libraries that are used are the React library which is used for front-end web applications and a library which allows easy to implement but still very detailed manipulation of charts called Chart.js. The first half of the theoretical part of the thesis focuses on those areas of signal processing which are necessary to understand so the applications can be created. The second half focuses on information technologies used for the implementation of said applications. Besides the already mentioned technologies, the text also briefly mentions the basics of HTML and CSS languages as well as the JSX syntax. The practical part describes how the applications were implemented and also serves as documentation for the source code. This part shows the reader how to create differently shaped signals in code (sine, triangle, sawtooth, square with different duty cycles, noise) and how to obtain the Fourier series of each of these signals, how to implement different signal operations, how to interpolate between multiple points using different interpolation formulas and what are some of the methods which can be used to apply cubic interpolation (finite difference method, cardinal spline, Catmull–Rom spline, natural cubic interpolation), what the applications look like and what is their structure.
Integration, Visualization, and Mining from Data of World Countries
Dušek, Vladimír ; Rychlý, Marek (referee) ; Bartík, Vladimír (advisor)
This thesis explores the utilization of open data about countries around the world, particularly data in the areas of progress and quality of life. The goal was to design and implement a web application to present this data and further use the data for data mining. The integration and processing of data from open data sources were accomplished using the Apache Airflow platform. The Python framework FastAPI was used to create the API and the JavaScript library ReactJS was used to implement the web application. In the application, the indicators are categorized. Each of them can be displayed for different groups of countries, for different time periods, and in several visualizations. From the domain of data mining, clustering of countries based on a group of indicators and prediction of future development of selected indicators using regression analysis was performed. The final application is available at jakjsmenatom.cz.
Secure Coding Guidelines for React
Solich, Filip ; Firc, Anton (referee) ; Malinka, Kamil (advisor)
This work deals with writing secure applications in JavaScript library React. The aim of this work is to create a guide for programmers to be able to detect parts of web applications that can be exploited to attack on the application. It describes how and to what you need to pay attention to when writing web applications, what are the best programming practices in the React library, thanks to which the programmer can avoid security errors in the application code and how to fix any errors. The types of attacks themselves and how attacks on a vulnerable application can take place are also described here. Knowing the progress of the attack will help the programmer to think better about the weak links of the application and thus also detect a security issue in the application before the attacker.
The applications of Content Management Systems in e-government
Foltýn, Michal ; Král, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Kopecký, Michal (referee)
Content management systems allow easy creation and management of web pages even without expert skills. Thesis describes application of these systems at Customs Administration of Czech republic and proposes serie of steps required to migrate web pages from one system to another. Framework for developing web applications enables to integrate these applications into content management system and extend its functionalities.
Google apps in the process of making school education programme
Rakušan, Vít ; Svoboda, Petr (advisor) ; Kalous, Jaroslav (referee)
In the theoretical part, the author discusses the technological principles of Google Apps and proposes a way to use them for making the school education programme. In the practical part presents the results of action research attesting specific expected benefits of using Google Apps for the creation of the school education programme. Details the results of each of the 4 cycles of action research, which is currently becoming the next cycle starting points. Based on the experience the author recommends the use of innovative technologies Google Apps as an alternative solution to traditional forms of team projects in the school environment.
Enhance the functionality of G Suite tools using App Script
Tuček, Michal ; Leipert, Jiří (advisor) ; Tocháček, Daniel (referee)
This work deals with cloud theory, focusing closely on the G Suite platform and its tools. In the next part, it presents the Google App Script, with which we can connect the individual G Suite tools and enrich their functionality. There will be introduction to the methodology of working with Google App Script with a few practical examples which should introduce the reader to this issue at the beginner level.
