The aim of the bachelor’s thesis is to describe the development of a proposal for a constitutive part of an information system in the form of intranet intended for a support of processes in a particular company. In the first section of this paper, basic terms and theory (theories) will be introduced. Subsequently, the status quo in the company will be described. Finally, a proposal for the constitutive part of the information system will be submitted in order to improve its processes.

Practical part is about own solution and benefits evaluation of database.

NNTP Server as a Windows Network Service

This work includes specification and analysis of requirements, design and implementation of the internet news server. The server controls newsgroups and associated news. It provides availability of the articles by NNTP protocol and HTTP protocol (by web interface). The server supports a user authentication and an optional proxy mode, when all NNTP requests are resent to another remote NNTP server. A mechanism that provides news-downloading from remote NNTP servers and performs distribution function is included too. The application is designed to run on MS Windows NT (and higher version) as a NT service. The server is configurable by a graphic user interface. The work also includes theoretical information needed for successful accomplishment of the above-mentioned requirements.

The Examination of Information System of Organization and Proposal Changes

This diploma thesis is focused on problems and proposals of changes of information system in a small company. On basic of results of analises of present situation I have found out some missing things in information system which I try to solve by sever proposals and in the other hand discover strongnes and oportunities which should become in present information system a new way for solving existing problems. Those positive aspects of present solutions should be overtaken in change proposals. My suggesting changes in information system are evaluate according conditions that were given in advance due to this company and its asks. After that is chosen the best solving which is the most effective. The chosen way is being watched and evaluated from economic aspects and other possitive things for organization.

In the first part the thesis deals with the explanation of basic terms and methodologies. Then it describes analysis of the current situation in the company. Based on this analysis and also on requirements of company management I proposed the database design of intranet to streamline business operations.

The contents include the formation of the proposal, charts, forms, arrangements and the visual database setting. The last part of the solution proposal deals with the important asset.

This bachelor thesis deals with design of deposit systém for the bookstores, according to the specific requirements for this sector. On the basis of the existing system shortcomings and find solutions to propose their elimination. On the basis of the results was drawn up a suggestion data model and the implementation of this model in deposit system.
