Changes in profile of professional identity of school psychologists in the last ten years

This diploma thesis deals with the professional identity of school psychologists. The aim of this thesis is researching of changing the profile of professional identity in last ten years and observing the other variables how and in what way they influence the professional identity of school psychologists. The thesis is divided in a theoretical part, empiric part and a discussion of the research results with the literature. The theoretical part deals with a school psychology at first - its determinations and relations to other disciplines, its historical evolve and also with present situation, the content of a work of a school psychologist and his role in relationship network at school. The next part deals with a profession and professional identity, at first through a general view and lately with a direct view on the professional identity of school psychologists. In the empiric part there are firstly introduced the aims of the research and its questions, used methods for gathering and data processing and it is introduced the research file. Prestige of the teaching profession

1 Abstrakt Bachelor thesis is focused on the prestige of the teaching profession. The theoretical part is devoted to the specification of the basic conscepts like prestige, social status and teacher. In the next part I characterize the teaching profession as a full-fledged profession which is focused on profession identity of teachers, demands on teachers, the most common problems which the teachers in their jobs face and the responsibilities of teachers. In the next part I descibe particular elements, which shape and influence the prestige of the theaching profession. The practical part of the thesis is based on a questionnaire survey, which was given to the students and teachers of the elementary school Most, Václava Talicha 1855 and on the leading of structured interviews that were made with teachers who work at this school. The aim of this research is to find out how students and teachers of the selected school perceive the prestige of teaching profession. Next goal is to infer and substantiate the level of prestige of the teaching profession, which students and teachers attribute to the teaching proffesion at this elementary school. Title of the thesis : Gender inflection in occupational titles and its sociolinguistic aspects Keywords : feminism, feminization, profession, titles, ranks, roles, sociolinguistics Gender inflection in occupational titles and its socio-linguistic aspects focuses on interdisciplinary issues, this topic being a combination of linguistics and various other humanity fields, e.g. sociology, politology, history and anthology. The primary aim has been to find an explanation for differences found with certain forms of inflected nouns which took various shapes throughout different periods of time. The thesis is split into 4 thematically-divided chapters. The intorduction aims to establish hypotheses while the first chapter centers on the research methodology I have employed. The second chapter summarizes historical, political and sociological aspects and presents results from existing research efforts focusing on feminization of occupational titles. The third chapter is the presentation of the handbook of inflection. The fourth chapter describes the development of selected professions/occupations and their often varying explanation in specialized dictionaries from etymological point of view. Prestige, Self-Conception and Problems of Teacher's Profession

The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to describe the specifics, prestige and self-conception of the teacher's profession. The study is divided into two major parts. The theoretical part describes important characteristics and requirements of the teacher's profession. It also presents difficulties of teaching that covers uncertainty of success based on the specific teacher-pupil relation and the contradiction of teacher's roles caused by various expectations. The next issue is to analyse teachers' self-conception that covers the lack of self-confidence. The thesis reveals some of the reasons of low self-esteem. It is focused on the different perception of prestige by teachers and the public. The empirical part of this study is based on the questionnaire survey conducted among the teachers.

Number of working persons with higher educational attainments substantially up in all regions

In the course of twenty years, the number of workers in regions of the CR with tertiary education grew rapidly. At the same time, the number of workers with basic education and practically all regions decreased significantly, as did the number of workers with secondary education without maturity. However, the structure of employment by the level of formal education completed differs significantly from one point of view.
