Savci jako škůdci na ovocných dřevinách a v sadech
Benešová, Kateřina
The bachelor thesis deals with the negative impact of wild mammals on fruit trees and orchards. The main aim is to find out which mammal species are harmful to fruit trees and what types of damage they cause. Based on the literature, it is then possible to derive solutions to effectively protect against this damage. In addition, a questionnaire survey can also be used to address the problem. Damage to fruit trees is most common from rodents (Rodentia), even-toed ungulates (Artiodactyla) and hares (Lagomorpha). Several important factors influence the impact of these mammals on fruit trees. Rodents cause the most damage at times of peak abundance, so regular monitoring is needed. Currently, there is a growing interest in biological control of mammals, where no chemical products are used. However, due to its immediate result and ease of application, chemical control still prevails.

Migraine affects patient's physical and mental well-being and also work and family relationships. Migraine manifests as characteristic pain accompanied by vomiting and nausea or other symptoms. The first part of this paper deals with the current knowledge on pathophysiology of migraine, factors which affect migraine, degree of heritability, and specifics of chronic migraine. Diagnosis of migraine is also included and that based on MIDAS questionnaire are addressed in the diploma thesis. The second part is devoted to the therapy of acute attacks and prophylaxis of migraine, describes drugs used in these indications, characterizes them in more detail and lists their limitations. This section also outlines new pathophysiological findings and molecules that may receive future attention. New biological therapies and progress in terms of monoclonal antibody registration are also described. Nonpharmacological strategies for migraine treatment are mentioned as well. In addition, the...

Babybox as a part of our society: Opinions of parents in Pelhřimov region on a postponing of a nearly two-year-old child to a babybox in Pelhřimov Hospital.
HONZOVÁ, Alena
This thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part, I focused on the basic theory of babyboxes, their history, location, usability and the rationale behind putting unwanted children into babyboxes. Foster care and adoption are also looked at. In the conclusion of the theoretical part I discuss possible preventive measures and some ethical issues related to this topic. For the practical part I have used qualitative research. I asked questions of five pre-selected interviewees from the Pelhřimov region concerning their opinion on babyboxes and babyboxes located in Pelhřimov Hospital. I held a semi-structured interview with Mr. Ludwig Hess. He is the founder of babyboxes in the Czech Republic. He provided an opinion of one that was used on a boy of nearly two years of age at Pelhřimov Hospital. The aim of this thesis is to find out the opinions of selected interviewees about babyboxes and the motivation behind their use on a two-year-old child. I compare the obtained data with my opinion and with the opinion of Mr. Ludwig Hess.
Risk management - occupational safety and health protection in the selected organization
KREJČŮ, Nikola
The main goal of this bachelor thesis is to analyse how the selected organization ensures risk management OSH, including the analysis of the fulfilment of basic requirements to ensure safe work and risk prevention. The analysis also includes an analysis of occupational accidents and an analysis of costs associated with accidents at work in the company. The output of this work is a document which creation is based on comparison and assessment of results from analyses with theoretical knowledge, proposing appropriate recommendations on how the organization could use new methods or procedures to improve its current activities and thus contribute the organization to improve the management of this area and to increase the level of OSH. The aim of the methodology is to create a pragmatic procedure for assessing the risks of the occurrence and spread of natural fires\nin the immediate vicinity of surface sources of drinking water. Methods for estimation are proposed in the methodology\nconsequences of the occurrence of natural fires on the quality of surface water, the prognosis of the change in the risk of fires\ndue to climate change and the procedure for determining the risk of secondary pollution of reservoirs due to\nchanges in runoff conditions after a natural fire. On this basis, the methodology designs and diversifies\npreventive and operational measures.

Title: The most common issues of sprint kayaker's locomotive system with possibilities of their prevention and therapy in training process Objectives: The main goal of the thesis was analyze the most frequent issues of musculoskeletal system of professional sprint male and female kayakers in Czech Republic. Next goal was to find out possibilities and uses of preventive measures to minimalize these difficulties. The last part of the research was to explore what role is physiotherapy playing in training program of czech male and female kayakers. Methods: The method of literary research of czech and foreign researches was used for theoretical part of the thesis. A non-standardized questionnaire was created to gain data from professional czech male and female kayakers. The research was designed retrospectively. The final data was found by using analytical tools, from which we evaluated the conclusions. Results: 61 professional male and female sprint kayakers of junior and senior categories took part in the research. The results showed that during the professional career amount of 62 % of athletes suffered from pain of musculoskeletal system. The most affected was shoulder girdle (35 %), than lumbar spine (23 %) and thoracic spine (12 %). 97 % of respondents stated that they have some of the preventive...
Sanctioning of serious criminal act offenders
Pešulová, Petra ; Heranová, Simona (referee)
96 Sanctioning of serious criminal act offenders Abstract The thesis is divided into five chapters. The first chapter deals with general questions concerning the topic of the thesis: how a serious offence can be defined and how offenders who committed such an offence can be punished. The aim of the chapter is to present general ideas and to set the problematic the thesis deals with in detail in a broader context. The second and the third chapter presents the statute law concerning two topics withing the broader topic of the thesis. The second chapter deals with the rules of punishment of sexual offenders according to the Belgian law. The rules are discussed in detail and presented in the context of the criminal law as whole. Several inconsistencies that are caused by a non respect to the consequences of a change in one field of criminal law to another one. The third chapter presents the Belgian complementary punishment of mise à la disposition du tribunal de l'application des peines and the German preventive measure of Sicherungsverwahrung and their brief comparison. Both measures incorporate the same idea - a group of offenders cannot be liberated, even though they have already served their punisment as whole - but they differ in details. The fourth chapter deals with the participation of experts to the...
Epidemiology and preventive measures in inherited retinal dystrophies in the Czech Republic.
Kousal, Bohdan ; Lišková, Petra (advisor) ; Vlková, Eva (referee) ; Mahelková, Gabriela (referee)
Introduction: Inherited retinal diseases (IRDs) are one of the most common causes of incurable blindness in children and young adults. In the Czech Republic, prior to the start of our work, these disorders had not been the subject of a systematic research. The aim of the study was to identify, clinically characterize and molecular genetically analyse Czech patients with monogenic IRDs and based on the knowledge gained subsequently implement preventive and therapeutic measures to clinical practice. Material and methods: We have performed a comprehensive clinical examination, genealogical analysis and molecular genetic investigation in patients with IRDs and their family members. Detailed ocular examination included spectral domain optical coherence tomography, high-resolution fundus photography and autofluorescence imaging. DNA was isolated from venous blood samples or buccal cells. Causal variants were searched for using Sanger and massively parallel sequencing, and their pathogenicity was evaluated in the context of previously published data, bioinformatical analysis and segregation in available family members. Results: In total, 103 individuals from 76 Czech families diagnosed with IRDs were characterized and their data published. Specifically, we have described clinical and molecular genetic...
