The Reconstruction, and the Re-use of the St. Thomas Yard in Brno

Bachelor’s thesis deals with reconstruction and re-use of listed buildings of St. Thomas Yard in Brno. Good transport connectivity, pleasant surroundings and proximity of several academic buildings have predetermined this area for a new purpose instead of the inappropriate current one – in the future, leisure time centre offering hobby groups, sport activities, study rooms, gallery, café and parking-site should be sited here. Urban concept consists of building block with a park compound. There are three listed buildings with decorated frontals to be preserved, complemented by brand new lightweight low-profile structures. Modern objects situated next to the historical ones are designed to be transparent by means of suspended glassed-in exterior with distinctive sun shading elements on the south facade. Other buildings are specific for their single-pitch vegetative roofs emphasizing peaceful nature of the park.

The manor house Boskovice

The bachelor's thesis is based on studio project created in the summer semester of the second year of undergraduate studies. The task was the renewal solutions and new use of the building with a loft, currently unused, the building of the Manor house in Boskovice. Manor house is located in a conservation area near the center of Boskovice, district Blansko. This historically protected building complex of farm Boskovice castle is a valuable urban property. After a fire in 1823 was rebuilt, but its appearance has remained virtually unchanged. The biggest change has passed the east wing, which was built a new roof, and arcades were walled up. Currently, the building unused and falling into disrepair. The courtyard is overgrown gas distributor greenery and paved areas are in a state of devastation. The aim was to restore the place of its historical value and use of the building to the public for recreation and leisure activities. In its current form and historically valuable buildings renaissance details will not be interfered with in any way, and nothing will be demolished, but in the context of the return of state in historical terms, it is about restoring monuments. Outbuildings were designed with understated approach so as to not disrupt the architectural structures countenance, but they gave him a new modern concept. The material on these new features is the corroded steel. It was a merger of the two approaches to architecture in a different century. The building consists of a deck above the newly exploited attic for accommodation and part of the basement is also three separate cellars. Existing structures will be redeveloped. Construction work will be carried out mainly in the context of treatment available, change sanitary rooms, new loft conversion and conversion use. The Rekonstruktion of Vyškov Rectory

The basis of the thesis is the architectural study, prepared in the winter semester of the third year of bachelor study on the topic of rectory renewal in Vyškov. The task of the study was to find suitable urban, mass and functional solution of the existing building and adjacent land. The former rectory will be completely renovated and will mainly serve the original purpose for accommodation of dean and chaplain of the parish, meetings with believers, religious education, then there will be located a chapel, a workroom, studios and rooms for commercial rent. On neighboring land will be designed new city park with design stage. The new building will serve as a platform for the expression of art, which enrich the cultural life in Vyskov. Together with the park which serves as a multifunctional public space for relaxing. The work is divided into design studies, project documentation for construction and architectural detail.

Password Recovery of RAR, BZIP, and GZIP Archives Using GPU

This thesis describes cryptographic protection and the implementation of file password of RAR, GZIP, BZIP formats. For password recovery multi platform Wrathion tool is used, the tool can obtain a password from an encrypted file by using its modules and password generators. The module provides parsing of input file and storing data, which are later used for password validation. To accelerate calculations, graphics card and OpenCL framework is used. The core of thesis is the implementation of Wrathion's modules for password recovery of the formats denoted above and measuring the speed and comparision with competeting tools.

Renewal of a social house in Zlobice

The subject of the bachelor's thesis is the reconstruction of a historic building in the village of Zlobice and the addition of a municipal office together with premises for technical services of the village. This project is a continuation of the subject AG034 Studio of Architectural Creation 4 - restoration of monuments. The solved object was built in the 1920s. Originally, it had only one floor. It is located in the heart of the original village. It is part of a terraced development of country houses. At the turn of the 20th and 21st century, a part with a bathroom and an apartment for the administrator was added to the building. During this period, the second floor was rebuilt and 3 apartments were built here, one of which is in very good, well-preserved condition. The design seeks to complete the courtyard of the building to its original condition according to historical documents. The extension with bathroom and apartment for the administrator will be removed. It will be replaced by the municipal office building and the technical services building, which is perpendicular to the office. The first floor of the historic building will be used for social and representative events of the village. One room is reserved for the clubhouse. The second floor of the historic building will have the village as a possible social housing. The largest apartment is reserved for the building manager. The courtyard is closed by a building that serves the purposes of the adjacent park. The former forest park was transformed into two areas separated by a path. On one side are residential terraces. On other side, an auditorium and parquet space is created for possible outdoor events.

Reconstruktion and new plan of St. Tomas court in Brno

The St. Tomas Court is the official historical monument of Brno city dated back to end of 18th century. This thesis is dedicated to reconstruction and rebuilding of the whole building whose premises are currently used by a horse riding club. The purpose of this thesis is to maintain the original symetric composition of the courtyard. The yard area creates an inner space which will be used for verdure redesign including a lounge area. The inner structure will be enclosed by terrain stands. That will create a decent green area in the city centre which could be freely used by general public for relaxation purposes. The whole rebuilding will turn the building into a cultural-commercial premises. The left part of the building will be dedicated for a multipurpose cultural hall. The main building will be used for administration and other related activities. The right wing is going to be turned into cafe, shop and administration unit.

Restoration of limestone in Grygov

The subject of this bachelor thesis is reconstruction of historical building of the limestone in Grygov. This project is based on the subject AG034 Studio of Architectural Design IV - Restoration of Monuments. The main topic of the studio work was to think about the appropriate use of a building of limestone with the extant circular limekiln and adjacent area of former site of limestone, and to create an architectural study. The thesis include plan to convert building and adjacent land to the cultural-educational facility with camp. Rooms of building is going to be use for various cultural and non-cultural social events. The whole land is going to be recultivated and rearranged for use of citizen. It´s attempt to return to the original values of the building´s appearance. This values were suppress during the years. At the same time It´s preserve essence of its place. The new interventions are solved with respect to native construction. Together them are create harmonic connection between the old historical part and the new timeless part.
