Simulation of Physical Phenomena Using Cellular Automata
Martinek, Dominik ; Smrčka, Aleš (referee) ; Peringer, Petr (advisor)
This master's thesis deals with modelling and simulation of physical phenomena by cellular automata. The basic methods which model physical phenomena is enumerated and descibed in this thesis. One of the important part of this thesis is a set of demonstration models. Each model is focused on one selected area of physical phenomena. All models are described by transtition rules and the procedure of derivation of these rules is also presented here. There rules were used in implemented models.  Another part of this thesis contains of a simulation application for these models. The real application had been implemented in accord with this design and it has been used to perform the simulation experiments with exemplary models. Results of the simulation experiments are discussed in conclusion of this thesis. One exemplary model had also been adapted for parallel processing. The performances on a computer with different count of working processors were measured and are also discussed in the conclusion of this thesis
Modulated ultrasonic water jet cutting – optimization of the liquid wave guide shape
Veselý, Radek ; Foldyna, Josef (referee) ; Habán, Vladimír (advisor)
High speed water jets have un-substitutable place in unconventional technologies in the machining of materials. Indeed its larger spreading is limited above all by its really high purchase price and also high costs of the operation. Certain possibility is represented by high-speed pulsating jets, which don’t put such a high pretension on arrangement of generating the pressure during the comparable operation. Probably the most effective method of the generating of pulsating water jets is ultrasonic modulation. This work could benefit to understanding spreading of pressure impulses between ultrasonic generator and output nozzle. Pulsating is solved by the numerical calculation using transfer matrix method.
Rationalization project of workplace for Hot-water Heater welding
Varjan, Matúš ; Heinl, Zdeněk (referee) ; Rumíšek, Pavel (advisor)
The aim of the thesis is to rationalize the water heaters welding area in Tatramat company - ohrievače s.r.o. The rationalization consists of three parts. The first part deals with the arrangement of the workplaces, the second part re-evaluates the monthly production planning. The third part describes in detail the production of one type, which based on simulations created in the simulation software Witness, compares the recorded time in company informartion system Orfert to the real production time in the operation. Each individual part offers optimization proposals and merging them into one unit, will create an efficient, transparent and economically value adding rationalization of the water heaters welding area.
Ventilation of sports hall
Urban, Ondřej ; Blasinski, Petr (referee) ; Uher, Pavel (advisor)
The master thesis deals with flow modeling in the CFD program. By means of which the opti-mal version of the air distribution diffuser in the sports hall will be selected. The first variant will bring fresh air through textile diffusers. The second variant will bring fresh air through flooded large circular diffusers. The tested parameter of the indoor environment will be the flow velocity and the age of the air. The better-performing version will be processed as an implementation documentation.
x86 Assembler Simulator for Education
Heštera, Andrej ; Semerád, Lukáš (referee) ; Orság, Filip (advisor)
Point of this thesis is gain knowledge base of x86 Instruction Set Architecture and x86 assembly language through analysis. Based on this knowledge, design and implement simulation environment in object oriented programming language Java SE8. This environment will give user option to create code based on conventions and syntax of Netwide Assembler and simulate created code on virtual representation - simulation model, which will imitate behavior of processor implementing instruction set architecture x86. The result of using this environment should be new knowledge for user about basic function of machine code execution and how this execution alters state of processor, without the need to specially compile created code for use in Debugger and having physical system implementing architecture x86.
Design and analysis of membrane roof of a stadium.
Lang, Rostislav ; Kytýr,, Jií (referee) ; Němec, Ivan (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with problem of design and calculation of membrane structure of stadium roof. This is a complex engineering problem, which includes many partial problems: finding of initial form of membrane, statically and architecturally suitable arrangement of catenaries, economical solution of boundary conditions (foundations). All components affect each other and cannot be dealt without mutual coordination. It always greatly depends on the experience and intuition of engineer who design such structure. Task which cannot be resolved according to the theory of the first order. Equilibrium forces on the deformed structure, which in many projected structures gives satisfactory results, did not correspond to reality. It is therefore necessary to consider equilibrium of forces on the deformed structure according to the theory of large deformations. Diploma thesis was entered with regard to the intention of the companies Ing. Software Dlubal s.r.o. and FEM consulting s.r.o., working together to develop software RFEM. These companies plan to complement this program system with a module MEMBRANE for searching of initial shapes of membrane structures. This work is a contribution to the creation of this module.
ECG generator for equipment testing
Čech, Petr ; Rampl, Ivan (referee) ; Chmelař, Milan (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on testing ECG monitors and ECG instruments. There are discussed origin and charakteristics of ECG signal. The ECG signal is presented by standard leads. This is the reason, why the way of making leads is mentioned. One chapter is aimed at generating ECG signal. There are set requierements for the ECG generator. These requierements results from ECG instrument possibilities and from ECG signal character. Next part of this diploma thesis includes hardware design of each part of the system. The system was designed with respect to mobility and 12-leads systems compatibility. Finaly the thesis includes design of the controll software.
Development of technologies for 3D printing of concrete structures
Roupec, Josef ; Hela,, Vlastimil (referee) ; Hela, Rudolf (advisor)
Subject of dissertation was to itemize testing methods in fresh and hardened state of cement paste or concrete. During this process some new testing methods and specimen creation protocols were proposed. Further was created list of used materials and mix design processes which led to list of used 3D printing mixture designs and 3D printers. Next part of dissertation was devoted to creation of 3D printing mix design and observations based on them. At~the end is proposed a radical change in testing methods which utilizes latest advancements in computer science and could be part of digital design process for construction.
Mathematical modeling of a wind turbine
Osička, Aleš ; Mastný, Petr (referee) ; Radil, Lukáš (advisor)
The aim of this paper is to acquaint the readers with basic classification of wind turbine configuration by used electric generator, with speed and power control used in power plants and with mathematical model of wind and parts of power plant. Procedure of making model in applications Mathematica and MathModelica is described in the other part of this paper. There were made models of power plants with squirrel cage asynchronous generator, one with pitch control, the other with stall control. In the last part of the thesis comparison of model behavior of both models with the same input conditions was made.
Comparative Analysis of Modelling of Reinforced Embankment Face
Fryš, František ; Glisníková, Věra (referee) ; Boštík, Jiří (advisor)
The thesis deals with numerical modeling of reinforced earth wall. The first part of the thesis characterizes and describes these constructions in general and also describes variations of their faces. In the next part the modeling of basic reinforced earth wall construction elements in Plaxis 2D is described. Subsequently the real reinforced earth wall is modeled and some variations of face-modeling are compared.
