Energy supply of the complex Technicka 2
Buráň, Petr ; Lisý, Martin (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
The theme of this master thesis is „Energy supply to the site Technická 2“. This thesis is divided into several parts. First we will get in touch with concept of combined heat and power and also with principle of photovoltaic electricity production. We will continue with description of site before and after reconstruction. Then we will follow with analyze the effect of reconstruction on energy consumption. In the end we will make some suggestions for using the local source of heat and electricity in Faculty of mechanical engineering, Brno university of technology. All suggestions will be analyzed from energy and economic point of view.
Domestic CHP units
Paděra, Jiří ; Moskalík, Jiří (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
The topic of this diploma study is to compile an overview of Domestic CHP units. The work is divided into three sections. The first section includes a summary of suitable CHP units. The second portion discusses the advantages and disadvantages of the individual chp units and the last segment describes the TEDOM Micro T8 chp unit, its possible integration in a family house, and its economic analysis.
Kogenerační jednotka mikro výkonu v RD
Pusztai, Radek ; Skalka, Miroslav (referee) ; Ondrůšek, Čestmír (advisor)
Bachelor paper on "Cogenerational unit of micro energy in a single-family house" occupies with analysis of usage and economical effectiveness of cogenerational installation in the single-family house. Results and used material are based on longtime knowledge of leading Czech and world companies and institutions. Paper is structed into two parts.
Modernization of biomass heat plant.
Sedlák, Martin ; Fiedler, Jan (referee) ; Fiedler, Jan (referee) ; Skála, Zdeněk (advisor)
The thesis examines the suitability of a CHP project in Bystřice nad Pernštejnem, a small town in Vysočina region, Czech Republic, which is currently supplied by biomass central heating. It reviews situation and availability of renewable energy sources and opportunities for CHP both in the Czech Republic and in Europe, including the context of current global developments. The opening chapters are followed with the renewable energy project for Bystřice nad Pernštejnem itself. The current technology, availability of biomass fuel for a potential future project, and possible development of energy sources in the town are analysed. Three alternative solutions for the CHP plant are suggested, with proposal for the technology and economic analysis, and possible future steps of the town council are discussed.
Heat sources for industrial buildings
Vejnarová, Nikola ; Počinková, Marcela (referee) ; Formánek, Marian (advisor)
The thesis is focused on the design of the new heat source of the existing building. The first part deals with the heat sources and fuels used in the Czech Republic. The second part includes design of three variants of heat sources: gas boilers, cogeneration unit with the electric boilers and cogeneration unit with gas boilers. The individual variations are also evaluated in terms of user comfort, space requirements or economy of operation. The third part includes measurement and evaluation of internal environment of the dining hall.
Up-to-date technology for energy utilisation of biomass and waste
Krňávek, Martin ; Frýba, Lukáš (referee) ; Kropáč, Jiří (advisor)
The bachelor‘s thesis deals with technologies for energy utilisation of biomass and waste. The introductory part is dedicated to biomass, its division and sources of biomass suitable for thermal treatment. The main part describes and compares technological units for energy utilisation of biomass, which is important for the Czech market. Furthermore there is described selected technologies for flue gas cleaning suitable especially for thermal treatment of waste. A basic design calculation of technological unit fired with wood chips for combined heat and power production is included here.
Combi -cycle with Diesel Engine and Steam Turbine
Bouše, Richard ; Kubiš, Richard (referee) ; Fiedler, Jan (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with the possibility of increasing efficiency of energy blocks with combustion engines by the combination of the Sabat and Clausius-Rankine cycle into the combined cycle. In the thesis is briefly described the principle of the function of the auxiliary device, which can increase the efficiency of the combustion engine. This device, which consists of a waste heat boiler and two turbine modules, is designed using calculations. Both turbine modules are prepared with drawing documentation and there are described important structural elements. Each key part of the thesis is given by a brief theory, so the basic theory of combustion engines, waste heat boilers and steam turbine are described.
Cogeneration power plant
Ptáček, Martin ; Pospíšil, Jiří (referee) ; Fiedler, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with heat and power supply of the family house, which uses natural gas.The first part reveals cogeneration technology in general, especially cogeneration unit based on gas-engine (internal combustion engine). In the second part, the thesis focuses on energy budget (power-balance sheet) issue. Finally, the third and fourth chapter, deal with particular calculation of usability of cogeneration unit in the small family house. Due to a small final financial difference and large investment costs, with such a low heat and power consumption, this technology is unsuitable for this type of usage.
Effect of exhaust pressure loss on efficiency of gas microturbine
Čechman, Ondřej ; Havlásek, Martin (referee) ; Máša, Vítězslav (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to support of microturbines application in industrial processes where it is not used yet, but where it would bring economical saving. This is especially in the case of CHP. For specific CHP system is need to design heat exchanger according to the specific application. One of the necessary parameters for heat exchanger design is exhaust pressure loss caused by heat exchanger, which has negative effect on electrical efficiency of microturbine. The concrete aim of this thesis is verify effect exhaust pressure loss on electrical efficiency of gas microturbine. This issue is solved theoretically using values declared by manufacturer of microturbines, which has been later verified by experimental measurements. The results of this thesis will help to integrate specific microturbine (Capstone C30) as CHP unit for model of energy intensive consumer in the Laboratory of Energy Intensive Processes of NETME Centre at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the Brno University of Technology.
Use of Cogeneration in Family Houses
Pusztai, Radek ; Mastný, Petr (referee) ; Baxant, Petr (advisor)
In the first part of the thesis is elaborated a general view on the issue of cogeneration - a joint production of heat and electricity. In addition to technical and economic aspects are also mentioned basic modes of operation of cogeneration units. Furthermore, installation conditions in the family house and legislative acts associated with the operation. The next section describes the technical parameters of the unit - TEDOM T7. Subsequently, the work performed calculations of the energy needs of the family house. In the next part there is an economic calculation of the object with reference to other sources of heat.
