Biomass boilers
Štěrba, Vítězslav ; Štelcl, Otakar (referee) ; Baláš, Marek (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with biomass boilers. The first part is dedicated to the biomass, its distribution, characteristics, potential and the possibility of energy recovery. The second part describes domestic market with biomass boilers low power for heating buildings and their functions. The last part deals economic comparison of selected boilers.
Energy use of biomass
Šenovský, Petr ; Moskalík, Jiří (referee) ; Baláš, Marek (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is aimed at the theme of energetic usage of biomass. First part describes characteristics and possibilities of obtaining biomass and its deriving. In the second part particular technologies of biomass conversion and getting energy from biomass are described. The basic advantages and disadvantages of each technologies are mentioned as well.
Analysis of tar formed by combustion of biomass
Chytil, Václav ; Čáslavský, Josef (referee) ; Vávrová, Milada (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis is focused on the analysis of the tar formed during combustion of biomass. Samples of the tar were provided by Energy Institute, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Brno University of Technology. BTEX, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and n-alkanes were chosen as groups of target compounds. Samples (tar solutions in acetone) were refined before the final analysis. In the case of BTEX and n-alkanes, only filtration and dilution were used. In the case of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, samples were filtered and then cleaned-up by column chromatography using silica gel. Gas chromatography with flame ionization detector (GC-FID) was chosen as an appropriate analytical method for the determination of target compounds from selected groups of BTEX and n-alkanes. Target compounds from the group of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons were determined by gas chromatography with mass spectrometric detection (GC-MS).
Heating of Family House by Biomass
Vaculík, Jaroslav ; Štelcl, Otakar (referee) ; Lisý, Martin (advisor)
Bachelor´s thesis deals with the topic of biomass, its usage and potential and follow up the problem of heating a family house. The text contains introduction and outlines the biomass as an alternative of heating the house. Then it discusses its forms and devices designed for its combustion. The work also offers design and calculation of heating solutions for a model house on a particular object.
Evaluation of technology for the biomass incineration
Zahradníček, Pavel ; Kropáč, Jiří (referee) ; Jícha, Jaroslav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis presents an overview of methods used for processing and utilization of biomass. The introductory part is devoted to sources of biomass, the following part describes the technologies for non-thermal and energy biomass use.
Renewable Energy Source
Mašek, Martin ; Škvařil, Jan (referee) ; Fiedler, Jan (advisor)
My bachelor’s thesis deals with description and use of renewable energy resources in the Czech Republic. At the beginning of my thesis I characterize individual renewable energy resources and its today’s use. In the main part of the thesis I focus on wind energy in more details, especially technical description of the wind power plant. In the end of my thesis there is a description of the small workable wind power plant and its economic analysis.
Legislative and economic aspects of exploitation of renewable energy sources
Vondra, Marek ; Katolický, Jaroslav (referee) ; Jaroš, Michal (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is a brief outline of legislative and economic issues associated with energy production from renewable sources. After reading the work, potential investors should be connive with the pros and cons of the use of renewable resources. The thesis has a recherche character and tries to provide basic information for the possible preparation of an investment project. Renewable energy sources have become an integral part of the energy market, despite their lack of profitability in comparison with conventional sources. It is a consequence of European Union’s financial support. However, the support is changing over time, as well as avalaible technologies, local conditions and many other factors affecting the current investment attractiveness of renewable energy sources. All these factors must be considered by an investor. The current situation is positive for use of biomass energy, both at home and in large incineration plants and cogeneration units. Electricity can be advantageously produced in photovoltaic and small hydropower plants. There is a growing importance of heat pumps exploitation. We can expect slower development of photovoltaic farms and wind power plants contructions.
Renewable resources of energy in Czech republic
Truhlář, Marek ; Fortelný, Zdeněk (referee) ; Chroboczek, Libor (advisor)
The content of this bachelor study is a technical recherche of the renewable resources of energy in the Czech republic. In the first part of the study there are described individual kinds of renewable resources of energy. The principle, the usage potential in Czech republic, some advantages and disadvantages about every topic are mentioned. In the second part the study is focused on usage of solar energy in the Czech Republic. The present state of used barrierlayer photocells and solar collectors is decribed in this part. In the last section there is a description of a photovoltaic power station in Otrokovice.
Production of CO2 and emission trading system
Bravený, Adam ; Niesner, Jakub (referee) ; Ferdan, Tomáš (advisor)
The thesis is divided thematically into two parts. The first one describes the state of gaseous carbon dioxide production, being considered the main cause of greenhouse effect or global warming. By the summary of many sources it is revealed how CO2 is produced, what influences its concentration in air the most and the CO2 level trends. The second part is focused on European Union and Czech emissions trading system, which is actual and widely discussed topic in the last few years. The main rules, mechanisms of the market and a model case of allowances trading is presented. The existence of the whole system and its positive and negative effects on the economy and environment are discussed.
Biomass boilers with high outputs
Chmelíček, Jiří ; Štelcl, Otakar (referee) ; Baláš, Marek (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with biomass boilers with high outputs. The thesis is divided into several parts. The first part is characterized by biomass, characteristics and modifications are described. In the second part of this thesis combustion process is described briefly, there is short talking about types of boilers with high outputs in this part. In the next part there are examples of boilers. The last part is about users of biomass boilers.
