Athletics is a popular sport in Domažlice. It is performed by athletes of all age groups who have no awareness of their club or their sport. This is one of the main problems. Using the Excel software, the results were recorded and statistically processed at the level of comparison of values between each test. Results: As a result of the intervention, 2 of the 10 probands experienced changes in leg stabilization, which was assessed with a test by standing on 1 leg. Analysis of the use of social sites as a key communication tool of the Czech Athletic Federation and their's change over time
Kolář, Adam ; Turková, Kateřina (advisor) ; Chladová, Marta (referee)
In my diploma thesis, I deal with social networks - specifically the social networks of the Czech Athletic Federation. It uses them as one of his main communication channels. Several quantitative and qualitative methods were used in the research. The main goal of the resarch was to compare social sites of the Czech Athletics Federation in 2019 and 2022. It was found that the main goal of the Czech Athletic Federation remains the same in the long term - to inform about the results of Czech athletes. Otherwise, however, social networks have undergone a transformation. The biggest difference over the years can be found in Instagram Stories, which the Federation has taken care of and significantly improved them over that three years. Media routines have also changed. Czech Athletics Federation tried to not be outdated, which is why a TikTok account was made and Instagram Reels were regularly created. The biggest failing can be seen in posts on Instagram, which practically copied Facebook. Overall, however, the year-on-year change on social networks can be seen positively, with which corresponds the growth of fans.

"It's just a state of mind" - An Ethnography of Pain and Injury Among Elite Athletes
Korečková, Adéla ; Halbich, Marek (advisor) ; Poděbradský, Oldřich (referee)
The main topic of this thesis is pain and injury. The research on these two phenomena, which are closely related to elite and high performance sports, was conducted in the environment of a training group of elite athletes - throwers. The aim of the thesis is to describe how these researched athletes react and how they experience pain and injury. Pain and injury are two distinct concepts that may or may not occur together. Pain is a more subjective phenomenon, whereas injury tends to be viewed more objectively. Athletes test the limits of the human body in training and competition, and it is very common for both of these phenomena to occur. A culture of risk-taking is also associated with testing the limits of the body, which is also included as a research subquestion in the thesis. In order to gain a more comprehensive view of the researched issue, not only the athletes themselves, but also the coach, sports doctor and physiotherapist were involved in the research. Qualitative methods were used during the research, which consisted of observations, interviews and document-based data.
