This research publication is looking for connections between two different countries, their opinions, ambitions and ways of approach. It is focused on two Chief Designers, Werhner Von Braun and Sergei P. Korolev, both of them on a different side of race track.
Typology of North Korea's Behavior: Analysis of the relations between the US and DPRK

Since the accession of Donald J. Trump to the presidency, there have been many significant events that have affected the United States' relations with the Democratic People's Republic of Korea - from testing North Korean nuclear weapons, to verbal insults to both officials, to a historical meeting of the leaders of both Korean states in the demilitarized zone, a joint performance by South Korean and North Korean athletes at the Pyongyang Winter Olympics, to the historic Singapore Summit between Donald Trump and Kim Jong-un. However, the second meeting of both representatives in Hanoi ended prematurely - without signing the planned joint statement. Relations between the United States of America and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea are constantly developing. The main theme of the talks in the past was the complete, verifiable and irreversible denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula to ensure lasting peace and stability for the region. The Anglo-American "Special Relationship" in the Period of Gordon Brown's Government: the Case Study of Finding Solutions to Financial Crisis

The central theme of the bachelor thesis is the phenomenon of the "special relationship" between the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the United States of America. The "special relationship" that is most often associated with cooperation in military and security, is applied on the field of economic diplomacy during the time of financial crisis and finding a solution to it. At first, the thesis argued whether it was possible to claim the "special relationship" in economic cooperation. Then it continued to argue, to what extend could the "special relationship" influence crisis-solution finding. Thesis used the examples of economic diplomacy before and during G20 leaders' summits as the most obvious manifestation of the role of the "special relationship". Another focus of the thesis is the period of Gordon Brown's government. Besides summarizing the events leading to finding crisis solution, thesis also describes the main events that happened and shaped the evolution of the "special relationship" during the period of Gordon Brown's government. Most of the thesis is, however, centered on the role of Brown and Anglo-American diplomacy in finding solution to financial crisis.
Uzbekistan's Foreign Policy (2001-2012): The Pendulum Diplomacy between the US and Russia

This diploma thesis deals with the creation of Uzbekistan's foreign policy. It attempts to answer three main research questions: What were the chief goals of Tashkent's foreign policy? What were the factors that influenced the creation of Uzbekistan's foreign policy? Which factors and causes played the decisive role in the case of Uzbekistan's most significant foreign policy turnovers in 2001, 2005 and 2012? It claims the principal aims of Uzbekistan's foreign policy were threefold. Firstly, it was the preservation of Uzbekistan's independence. Secondly, it was the strengthening and securing of Karimov's regime. Finally, it was the attempt to become the regional leader in Central Asia. Subsequently, the study maintains that the foreign policy formulation was altered by four processes or challenges which the regime in Tashkent had to cope with. These were namely the challenge of geopolitical position, establishing of a viable political system, transforming the command economy, and the threat of radical or political Islam. Uzbekistan's pendulum diplomacy between the US and Russia is a new term coined for the purposes of this study. Iranian nuclear program has presented a problem for many years. Even though the regime in Tehran has not formally announced its quest to develop nuclear weapons and has actually denied such accusations, the international community concluded from the actions of the regime that the development of nuclear weapons is the ultimate goal of Tehran. The United States reacted to the course of events and tried to limit the program or stop it altogether. The Bush Administration was not an exception in this regard. Even though the attitude towards Iran changed during 2001 - 2009, the nuclear program progressed further and still presents a great danger. Not only politicians but also academics, experts and analytics were trying to answer the question how to curb the program most effectively. This thesis analyzes and compares concepts of scholars with the actual policy practiced by the Bush Administration and finds out that both approaches vary quite significantly. While the majority of scholars recommended the administration to limit the economic sanctions and refrain from aggressive rhetoric concerning the possibility of military action, the American government tightened the sanctions and sustained the option of intervention. Bachelor thesis "Reasons leading to Lincoln's victory in the 1860 presidential elections and impacts of his victory" deals with the way of the sixteenth president to his victory in the presidential election and the implications that this caused. In terms of time and topic definition, the thesis is devoted to the period just before the American civil war. The goal of the work was to analyze factors that helped the victory in the presidential election and the events that followed immediately thereafter. Working method was based on the description, analysis and comparison. In the thesis are used as the primary sources so the secondary ones. This bachelor thesis is divided into four parts. First chapter deals with the historical overview of the events before the election, with the emphasis on the problematic issue of slavery. The second chapter analyzes the steps and factors that led to the victory in the presidential election. The third chapter shows the results of the elections and the formation of the government that followed. The fourth chapter is devoted to the consequences of the victory of Republican candidate with a focus on the beginning of the conflict between Northern and Southern states. This bachelor thesis deals with the question of race in the discourse of representatives of the woman suffrage movement in the USA. Its goal is to find out how was the theme of race used in the effort of women to achieve the right to vote, where the main focus is on the discourse of Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Susan B. Anthony as the leading figures of white middle class American feminism and suffragism. The thesis uses the method of critical discourse analysis and tries to find out how were black men, black women, or white women themselves (in order to compare themselves with other groups of people) presented by the authors during the campaign for the voting rights. Very important for the thesis is the relation text-context, the relation between speeches or articles of the authors and social conditions of the period. That is why this thesis deals with the wider context of authors' discourse, especially with the history of voting rights in the USA and the history of woman rights movement. (in English): This bachelor thesis is dealing with the development of the United States of America foreign policy towards the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics in the era of president Truman's first administration. The period of time covered here is marked by the era between Truman's accession to his office and the blocade of Berlin. Primarily, the thesis concentrates on the United States Department of State and the creators of its strategy. An emphasis is also given to the president and his collaborators. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first one works with the term of office of the secretary of state James F. Byrnes. The second one works with is successor Georg C. Marshall. The final part resumes the data arising from the research of creation the foreign policy of the United States.
The Science in Intended Curriculum and Framework Documents in Selected Countries

The main aim of this study is to enrich the discourse on developing an intended form of the science curriculum in different country contexts. A multi-case study research design uses methods of content and comparative analysis to find answers to the research questions. The empirical part of the thesis consists of single case studies of England, Finland, Scotland and the United States of America containing contexts of the current curriculum development, description and interpretation of analysed structural and content phenomena in the curriculum of primary (ISCED 1) and secondary education (ISCED 2). Based on the single case studies of curricula, a comparative multi-case study is conducted, which focuses on the identification and interpretation of common and different features in the structure and content of the curricula to be compared. The studied documents can be divided into competency- oriented and subject-oriented curricula, nevertheless, each curriculum contains elements of both approaches. The subject content of the contemporary curricula seems to be more elaborated or at least more detailed than in documents of the previous decade.
