Comparative analyses of muscle activation lower extremities during running at different surface
Král, David ; Bačáková, Radka (advisor) ; Hojka, Vladimír (referee)
Title: Comparative analyses of muscle activation lower extremities during running at different surface. Objectives: The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to compare the level of activation of selected muscles of the lower extremities and the relative timing of these activations. Realize measurements on three types of surface: tartan, grass, sand and find out the differences in activations of selected muscles according to the surface. Methods: In this thesis, I used the method of analysis and the method of comparison. I applied the analysis method in the analysis of the measured signals for the running step and the comparison method in the section comparing average running step cycles from different surface types. Results: I found out that running on the tartan, acitvates all the monitored muscles in more than 75% of the average cycles within 10% of the running step time period. For softer surfaces - grass and sand, my research did not support the hypothesis, that the softer the surface is, the greater are the differences in the activation of individual muscles versus tartan. Further I found out that on sandy and grassy surfaces, the average activation time of the muscles which are more involved in stabilizing the ankle and foot, i.e. tibialis anterior and peroneus longus, increases. On a sandy...
Ischemic thrombus analysis in multiphasic brain stroke CT data
Mikešová, Tereza ; Holeček, Tomáš (referee) ; Jakubíček, Roman (advisor)
This master thesis deals with analysis of ischemic thrombus in brain CT scans. In theoretical part, a review of methods, especially thrombus segmentation, is developed. Furthermore, the anatomy of cerebral arteries and acute ischemic stroke is summarized. Selected methods from the field of image processing are briefly described. The practical part results in a comparison of thrombus segmentation methods. The segmentation itself was preceded by data preprocessing, which is described in the theses, and the creation of a manual annotation database. The best implemented method was found to be the adaptive thresholding method, which achieved a Dice score of 0,4555. By combining the methods appropriately, a final Dice score of 0,5145 was achieved. Thrombus parameters were then calculated from the segmented volumes. The median intensity value was 51,55~HU, the median length was 15,16 mm, and the median volume was determined to be 65,34 mm3. Subsequent correlation analysis showed no significant relationship between the derived parameters.
Visual fault detection in serial production of connectors for automotive industry
Kilian, Jaroslav ; Dobossy, Barnabás (referee) ; Brablc, Martin (advisor)
In this thesis, the methods of defect detection are described, focusing on visual detection, i.e. detection from photos. Its basic components and methods used for defect detection from photos are described. Two approaches are proposed on products from Mechatronic Design & Solutions, one using deep learning and the other based on exact methods. These approaches are then experimentally compared.
Segmentation of optic disc in retinal image data
Juráček, Radek ; Mézl, Martin (referee) ; Odstrčilík, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on the algorithm of automatic detection of the optical disk in retinal images. It briefly describes the anatomy of the human eye and the principles of scanning the ocular background. The following describes the optical disk segmentation methods. Selected methods are implemented in MATLAB and optimized using a genetic algorithm. A total of five methods were introduced and optimized on the HRF dataset and two experimental datasets.
Automatic detection of microcalcifications in mammogram images
Hývlová, Denisa ; Jakubíček, Roman (referee) ; Harabiš, Vratislav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on detection of microcalcification in mammography images. The introduction describes connection between their presence and breast cancer, principle of mammography and the DICOM standard used in radiology. In the following part the methods used for microcalcification enhancement and segmentation are explained. Detection algorithm based on wavelet transform, morphological closing and thresholding was designed in MATLAB. For evaluation of the results a graphical user interface was developed and an algorithm for automatic evaluation of the success rate in annotated mammography database was implemented.
Application of computational methods in classification of glass stones
Lébl, Matěj ; Hnětynková, Iveta (advisor)
Application of computational methods in classification of glass stones Bc. Matěj Lébl Abstrakt: The goal of this thesis is to employ mathematical image processing methods in automatic quality control of glass jewellery stones. The main math- ematical subject is a matrix of specific attributes representing digital image of the studied products. First, the thesis summarizes mathematical definition of digital image and some standard image processing methods. Then, a complete solution to the considered problem is presented. The solution consists of stone localization within the image followed by analysis of the localized area. Two lo- calization approaches are presented. The first is based on the matrix convolution and optimized through the Fourier transform. The second uses mathematical methods of thresholding and median filtering, and data projection into one di- mension. The localized area is analyzed based on statistical distribution of the stone brightness. All methods are implemented in the MATLAB environment. 1
Plánování trajektorie robota v dynamicky měnícím se prostředí s ohledem na splnění specifického cíle
Koten, Jan
The aim of the thesis is a trajectory optimization of robot in the Ketchup House competition. Environment mapping system is proposed to deal with this issue. As an ideal solution is chosen a method of familiar environment scanning using a camera module and lidar. Camera module and lidar provide a possibility to scan up to nine searched objects, instead of one object allowed by the previous solution. A proximity sensor supplements the whole system, so the efficiency of detection increase. To find a particular position of the object on the playing field, image processing methods are used, namely line detection and thresholding. Moreover, new playing strategy and a new way of representing the playing field are implemented. Robot K4, created by PEF MENDELU AiStorm team, serves for application of the system.
Analýza zafarbených buniek
Hanzely, Tomáš
Hanzely, T. Analysis of colored cells. Bachelor thesis. Brno: Mendel University, 2018. The bachelor thesis aims to analyze colored cells, specifically cell quantification. Main goal is to create a cell counting application which is able to obtain cell counts for colored and uncolored cells and create graphic user interface for this application. Results are compared to ground truth and efficiency of the application is evaluated.
