Analysis of Economic Data Using Statistical Methods

The teoretical part of the thesis focuses on timeline and also on economic issues of mainly ratio indicators and their interpratation. The aim of this work is to analyze and evaluate selected economic indicators of the company, using timeline analysis and regressive analysis. The analysis is related to value prediction of selected economic indicators which I predicted for the next two years (2014 and 2015). Based on the detected values I proposed measures for successful future development of the company. I have processed the data using Gretl and Microsoft Excel programs.

Theoretical part disserts on clarification of concrete statistical methods and their use. The subject of following practical part is fulfilment of those statistical methods. In conclusion of the thesis is summary of the analysis results and evaluation of benefites and solutions.

This work deals with the evaluation of the company by using statistical methods. There will be processed the financial indicators of business performance, such as total cost, total revenues, liquidity, profitability and Altman index of the company. The results will be displayed in time series, which will help with clarifying the long-term trend. Of these data will be set the prognosis for the future. The thesis concludes with suggestions to improve activity of the company and her position in the market.

This work deals with the analysis of the financial statements of existing companies with the help of statistical methods and time series. The work is aimed at a large mining company Severočeské doly a.s. At this work will be given the statistical and graphic representation of the various economic indicators and financial statements. Each time series will be compared with professional values and competing firms. In conclusion, based on the results of the company will be proposed some options for improving some indicators.

This thesis deals with financial analysis and evaluation of the situation of PKD, Ltd. between 2004 and 2008. Work consists of practical and theoretical parts. The theoretical parts are used in specified economic indicators and the theoretical basis of statistical analysis. The practical part will focus on the assessment of the financial situation with financial indicators and their representation in the time series by using regression curves.

This bachelor’s thesis focuses on the use of statistical methods in practice, especially interested in the financial analysis of HELIX Liberec s.r.o. expressed by selected economic indicators in the time series from 2000 to 2010. The work has both theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part is important to clarify the terms of the statistical and financial analysis in the practical part will apply the theoretical basis for undertaking an assessment of the situation and outline possible recommendations for improvement.

The subject of my bachelor's thesis is the analysis of economic indicators using statistical methods in the chosen company. Specifically, it will include financial analysis and statistical methods, which are important tools for the analysis and financial evaluation of a particular company as well as necessary tools to identify development of trend and prognosis for the next period in the future. The end will contain the solution proposal.
