Mochar, Dominik ; Trnka, Jan ; Chlada, Milan ; Valeš, František ; Gabriel, Dušan ; Červ, Jan ; Vtípil, J.
In this work experimental and numerical investigation of composite gun barrels was studied. The history of the stress-induced deformations located at the center of gun barrels on the outer surface generated by impact loading was measured for six types of barrels. The obtained signals were subsequently evaluated using wavelet transformation. Finally, the finite element analysis in Abaqus and MARC software for optimum composite material M46J was performed.

Výsledky získané z MKP programu PMD, Abaqus a Ansys byly diskutovány a porovnány s analytickým rešením.

Mochar, Dominik ; Gabriel, Dušan ; Trnka, Jan ; Chlada, Milan ; Valeš, František ; Masák, Jan
Zpráva shrnuje výsledky výzkumu zamereného na posouzení konstrukce šesti ruzne vinutých vzorku kompozitních hybridních hlavní vyrobených firmou Compo Tech PLUS, spol. s r.o. pro návrh hlavne zbrane. Experimentálne byly stanoveny casové prubehy deformací na povrchu kompozitních hlavní vyvolané rázovým zatížením. Získané výsledky byly následne vyhodnoceny pomocí waveletové tranformace. V druhé cásti zprávy je popsána MKP analýza kompozitní hlavne s optimálne navrženým vinutím metodou konecných prvku v programech Abaqus a MARC.
Explicit dynamic finite element analysis of a firing pin assembly
Mochar, Dominik ; Gabriel, Dušan ; Masák, Jan ; Kopačka, Ján ; Kolman, Radek ; Plešek, Jiří ; Hynek, P. ; Vtípil, J.
In this paper, explicit dynamic finite element analysis of a firing pin assembly was performed. Two different geometries of the firing pin were considered using the finite element software PMD and Abaqus. For both variants there was evaluated a stress distribution at the critical point of a tested component, that is going to be later used for a fatigue analysis of the firing pin.
A short wave limit of the frequency equation for plane-stress nonaxisymmetric disc motions
Červ, Jan ; Valeš, František ; Adámek, V.
It is proved that the general frequency equation for plane-stress nonaxisymmetric disc motions tends for the first mode of propagation and for wavelengths very short when compared with the disc radius to the secular equation for Rayleigh waves.

Dispersion properties of finite element method: review
Kolman, Radek ; Okrouhlík, Miloslav ; Plešek, Jiří ; Gabriel, Dušan
Review of the dispersion properties of plane square bilinear finite element used in plane elastic wave propagation problems is presented. It is assumed the grid (spatial) dispersion analysis and, further, the temporal-spatial dispersion analysis for explicit direct time integration based on the central difference method. In this contribution, the dispersion surfaces, polar diagrams and error dispersion graphs for bilinear finite element are depicted for different Courant numbers in explicit time integration. Finally, recommendation for setting the mesh size and the time step size for the explicit time integration of discretized equations of motion by the bilinear finite element method is provided.
Numerical solution of a secular equation for rayleigh waves in a thin semi-infinite medium made of a composite material
Červ, Jan ; Adámek, V. ; Valeš, František ; Parma, Slavomír
The traditional way of deriving the secular equation for Rayleigh waves propagating along the stress-free edge of a thin semi-infinite composite is presented. It means that it is necessary to find a general steady-state solution that vanishes at infinity. The secular equation is then obtained by vanishing of the surface traction at the stress-free edge. For the solution of such secular equation it is necessary to precompute some roots of characteristic quartic equation. The method shown in this paper, based on displacement formulation, leads to the so-called implicit secular equation. The numerical approach to the solution is shown.
