Restoration of audio signals damaged by quantization

This master’s thesis deals with the restoration of audio signals damaged by quantization. The theoretical part starts with a description of quantization and dequantization in general, few existing methods of dequantization of audio signals and theory of sparse representations of signals are also presented. The next part introduces algorithms suitable for dequantization, specifically Douglas–Rachford, Chambolle–Pock, SPADEQ and implementation of these algorithms in MATLAB application in the next chapter. In the last part of this thesis, testing of reconstructed signals using the algorithms takes place and results are evaluated by objective measures SDR, PEMO-Q, PEAQ and subjective listening test MUSHRA.
Databáze impulsových odezev akustických prostorů s parametrizací mnohonásobných odrazů

Obsahom teoretickej časti tejto bakalárskej práce je popis impulznej odozvy, echogramu, rozbor rôznych metód pre meranie impulzných odoziev a ich porovnanie. Ďalej sú opísané objektívne parametre akustiky priestoru, analýza zvyškovej energie v impulznej odozve a jej kmitočtovo závislé zobrazenie pomocou reliéfu poklesu energie. Taktiež sú zdokumentované existujúce databázy impulzných odoziev. Praktická časť je tvorená realizáciou vlastnej databázy impulzných odoziev a grafickým vyobrazením rôznych závislostí z týchto odoziev. Ďalej je popísaný algoritmus pre parametrizáciu reliéfu poklesu energie a modelovanie impulzných odoziev podľa tohto algoritmu, realizované v programe Matlab. Poslednou časťou je posluchový test pre overenie modelovania impulzných odoziev.
Parallelization and Optimization of Image Processing Applications

This Bachelor's Thesis was performed during a study stay at the École Supérieure d'Ingénieurs en Électronique et Électrotechnique Paris, France. It proposes solution for speeding up image processing algorithm and its adoption for use with real-time video stream from the infra red camera. The first part discusses characteristics and basic principles of the IR technology, followed by specifications of used camera. Ongoing text also proposes solution of problems concerning network communication with the camera. In addition, it describes camera's output stream format characteristics and solution for output visualisation. Substantial part of this work covers issues concerning parallelization and optimization of video stream and image file data processing. Problem of the parallelisation for this case is explained together with implemented parallelization method. Entire theoretical part is supported with the real results, benchmarks, which are presented in the last chapter.

Master’s thesis proposes strategy solution for ESET company, which is doing business in security software industry for various platforms. For critical examination of the market there were used Porter’s five forces model and also SWOT analysis. Similarly, the applied method of benchmarking clarifies trends in this particular market. Considering contemporary situation on the market, there are proposed strategy solutions for further growth of the company.
Marketing-Product Strategy at Mediahost Company within The Home Market

Diploma thesis is proposing marketing strategy for Mediahost company, which is small enterprise operating in web hosting business. Strategy is designed for Slovak market, home market of the company. Strategy is supported by appropriate analysis. In this case, seven Cs framework, also known as Compass model, has been used along with SWOT analysis. Strategy proposes comprehensive marketing strategy reflecting contemporary environment of hosting business.
