Cílem této bakalářské práce je popsat technologii rozpoznávání obličejů a její využití v praxi. Zejména v posledních letech se technologie rozpoznávání obličejů stala velmi diskutovaným tématem, ať už ve spojitosti s rozšířením této technologie v Číně nebo díky potenciálu této technologie pro bezpečnostní složky. Na jednu stranu technologie rozpoznávání obličejů přináší spoustu nových možností v oblasti prevence kriminality, ale na druhou stranu s sebou také nese riziko narušení soukromí jednotlivých osob. Tato práce se zabývá historií této technologie, metodami, jenž tato technologie používá a také popisuje příklady využití technologie rozpoznávání obličejů v praxi, spolu s riziky spojenými s uvedením této technologie do praxe.

Text se zabývá rychlým rozvojem trojrozměrných tiskáren popsání jejich obecných komponent a využití 3D tiskáren v medicíně. V našem současném světě se v poslední době objevily trojrozměrné tiskárny a byly okamžitě použity v různých oborech a průmyslech. 3D tisk je inovační a perspektivní technologie, která nepředstavitelně mění lidské životy a zkrátí obrovské množství času a zdrojů, které se vynakládají na vytváření určitých produktů. V této semestrální práce jsou uvedené příležitosti využití těchto technologií v různých oblastech především v medicíně, stejně jako rozdíly mezi jednotlivými technologiemi a jejich výhody a nevýhody.

Analýza nových technologií zobrazených v seriálu Black Mirror/Černé zrcadlo a jejich dopadu na společnost

Tato bakalářská práce je zaměřena na popis robotů a sociálních sítí z vybraných epizod seriálu Black Mirror. Stručně se zabývá popisem děje a poselstvím jednotlivých dílů. U každé vybrané epizody se zejména zaměřuje na technickou proveditelnost daných technologií. V této práci jsou roboti a sociální sítě ze série Black Mirror srovnávány s moderními ekvivalenty ze skutečného světa. Práce rovněž pojednává o výhodách a nevýhodách sociálních sítí a robotů, včetně jejich vlivu na naši společnost. Dále se zabývá etickou a sociální stránkou těchto technologií. Hlavním cílem bakalářské práce je poskytnout vhled do technologií použitých v seriálu Black Mirror.

Gender Stereotypes in Gaming Environment

This bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of gender stereotypes in the storyline and design of video games. Having been essential for the understanding of the video game industry and the presence of gender stereotypes in it, there are also listed key historical moments. It gives an opportunity to see how real-world events and public opinion influence video games, and produce or reduce gender stereotypes in them. The thesis offers an insight into the matter of over-sexualisation of both men and women, including how it may affect a self-perception of various people. The issue of sexualisation is considered from several perspectives, among which there is a cultural difference between East and West countries. Moreover, a list of stereotypical gender roles into which people are often put is presented in this paper. It brings light onto the consequences that emerge from the roles.

Use of GPS in the Car Industry Oriented on Self-driving Vehicles

This bachelor thesis focuses on the use of GPS in the automotive industry with a focus on unmanned vehicles. The aim was mainly to approach the GPS system but also other temporary systems, and to describe and characterize autonomous vehicles and all the hardware and software they use. The first half of the work characterizes the GPS in great detail so that the reader gets to know how the navigation system works. In the second part of this work, the reader will learn about autonomous vehicles, to which levels we divide them and which systems are used. Reader will also learn the advantages and disadvantages of these vehicles, the main differences between today's cars and autonomous cars. At the end of this work is intelligent transport and its benefits, but also a insight into the future of transport and vehicles.

History of audio carriers and transmission of sound

The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to describe the evolution of audio carriers. This bachelor thesis provides an outlook of history and present of the audio carriers. First of all, this thesis is going to get the reader acquainted with the theory of the sound transmission. It is aimed at propagation of waves and describes their differences. Consequently, analogue and digital means of audio recording are going to be discussed. The main part of this thesis devoted to the preservation of music. Firstly, the non-mechanical preservation of the music is described. This part involves the notation, tablatures, and automatic instruments. The following part deals with the mechanical preservation of the sound and describes the analogue technology of recording devices and audio carriers. In the last chapter, a digital recording and carriers are being discussed. The thesis also informs about the cultural and musical influence of individual audio carriers.

The aim of this bachelor’s thesis is to provide a brief history of video games and to analyse their impact on the society. The thesis describes the evolution of video games from the beginning up to year 2010 and the problems, which video game developers had to face during prosperous and difficult periods as well. It also describes several video game peripherals, mainly focusing on the virtual reality. The analysis of the impact of video games on the society is based on several reliable studies conducted mainly by scholars respected in their own fields.

Smart cities of the 21st century

This bachelor's thesis is focused on the concept of smart cities of 21st century. Its objective is to describe this phenomenon and discuss possibilities of its implementation. It analyses six sections, into which the concept is divided, and describes modern technologies used in smart cities. Furthermore, it discusses the issue of cybersecurity in relation to personal data protection and security of proper city functioning. As examples of smart cities, Prague and London are mentioned, and their smart city strategies along with examples of executed smart projects are analysed. Finally, the evaluation and comparison of both cities' smartness is carried out via two different smart city indexes.
