Prototype Of Adaptive Rear Lamp
Holinka, David
The thesis focuses on the design of hardware and software prototype of adaptive automotive rear-lighting. Hardware includes a control module and LED module with 150 high brightneess light emitting diodes. These diodes will be as an adaptive backlight for color LCD display. The device Raspberry Pi 3 was selected as the control element. This device insludes the support of all communications buses which are used in this thesis.
Use of GPS in the Car Industry Oriented on Self-driving Vehicles
Gróf, Marko ; Sedláček, Pavel (oponent) ; Šedrlová, Magdalena (vedoucí práce)
This bachelor thesis focuses on the use of GPS in the automotive industry with a focus on unmanned vehicles. The aim was mainly to approach the GPS system but also other temporary systems, and to describe and characterize autonomous vehicles and all the hardware and software they use. The first half of the work characterizes the GPS in great detail so that the reader gets to know how the navigation system works. In the second part of this work, the reader will learn about autonomous vehicles, to which levels we divide them and which systems are used. Reader will also learn the advantages and disadvantages of these vehicles, the main differences between today's cars and autonomous cars. At the end of this work is intelligent transport and its benefits, but also a insight into the future of transport and vehicles.
Android vs iOS: A Comparative Study
Pršeš, Faruk ; Kotásek, Miroslav (oponent) ; Ellederová, Eva (vedoucí práce)
This bachelor’s thesis compares two most popular operating systems in a modern smartphone age. iOS and Android are well known for their rivalry. Therefore, the aim of this thesis is to provide a detailed analysis of these two operating systems and to discuss their advantages and disadvantages. The first part of this work frames the concept of mobile/smartphone operating systems and traces the historical development of the smartphone operating systems. Afterwards, it moves on to the history of Apple and Google systems and compares their origin, features, user-interface, hardware requirements, application development and, in general, their way to become the most stable and popular smartphone systems in the world. The second part of this work is focused on analysing survey results. The goal of the survey was to compare preferences of Android and iOS users.
Innovations in automation, system "ANPR"
Alsop, Oliver ; Baumgartnerová, Alena (oponent) ; Krhutová, Milena (vedoucí práce)
This semester thesis is concerned with the problematic of automatic number plate recognition systems, their purpose, hardware and software features and the process of setting up a properly functioning automatic number plate recognition system. The topic is relatively new in the field of automation and therefore many challenges have to be dealt with. This thesis focuses on the aspects of a camera suitable for implementation into an ANPR system, the procedures and methods of number plate segmentation and extraction and the recognition of the characters present in a number plate. This thesis brings an insight view for those interested in innovations in automation and the challenges which are accompanied by the number plate recognition system functionality.
Monitoring of production facilities
Borsuk, Adam ; Kiac, Martin (oponent) ; Číka, Petr (vedoucí práce)
The aim of the diploma thesis is to study the possibilities of creating a monitoring system for older production facilities already in operation. Select the necessary components for the nature of the equipment to create a system that is able to capture and provide information about activities on the equipment. The second goal is to design a suitable communication model for clear information about the operation, sending and storing data. The third goal is to analyze the dual-core ESP32 microprocessor against its predecessors in the role of system control unit.
Diagnostic tool for SD card protocol
Frnka, Peter ; Macho, Tomáš (oponent) ; Petyovský, Petr (vedoucí práce)
The objective of this diploma thesis is to design and implement a diagnostic tool for communication protocol of SD memory cards. The diagnostic tool will be able to monitor and interfere with communication of an SD memory card. The hardware implementation will be based on platform with Kinetis K66 microcontroller. A PC application designed for windows is also a part of diagnostic tool. There is a conclusion of the diagnostic tool limitation at the end of the thesis.
Deep neural network for supercomputer environments
Bronda, Samuel ; Kolařík, Martin (oponent) ; Burget, Radim (vedoucí práce)
The main benefit of the work is the optimization of the hardware configuration for the calculation of neural networks. The theoretical part describes neural networks, deep learning frameworks and hardware options. The next part of the thesis deals with implementation of performance tests, which include application of Inception V3 and ResNet models. Network models are applied to various graphics cards and computing hardware. The output of the thesis is the implemented model of the network Inception V3, which examines the graphics cards and their performance, time-consuming calculations and their efficiency. The ResNet model is applied to a section that examines other impacts on neural network computing such as used disk, operating memory, and so on. Each practical part contains a discussion where the knowledge of the given part is explained. In the case of consumption measurement, a mismatch between the declaration by the manufacturer and the measured values was identified.
