Possibilities of using art therapy methods and techniques for children with autism spectrum disorder

This bachelor thesis deals with the possibilities of using art therapy techniques in the teaching process of pupils with autism spectrum disorders. The first part deals with the theoretical knowledge about art therapy field - general principles, methods and techniques that can be used in art therapy. In addition, the problem of autism spectrum disorder in the context of art therapy work is presented - the problematic areas associated with the ASD, to which art therapy interventions are most often targeted and which they try to influence positively, are specified. The conclusions and recommendations of earlier research on this subject are summarized. The theoretical background is followed by a case study describing the course of incorporation of some art therapy techniques into teaching when working with pupil with autism spectrum disorder in high school focused on the education of pupils with special educational needs. The aim of this work was to find out whether the use of art therapy techniques in teaching process can be beneficial. This was confirmed, the most striking impact was noted in the field of stress reduction and communication.
Snoezelen as special educational support for children with autism spectrum disorder

This diploma thesis is focused on Snoezelen as special educational support for children with autistic spectrum disorder. Snoezelen can be understood as a way of relaxation, spending free time, pedagogical action or comprehensive therapy. It can be practiced in different facilities and it brings profit to general public with different impairment. Autistic spectrum disorder is one of diagnoses in which therapists decide to use the effect of Snoezelen. There are some researches focusing on quantitative detection of the circumstances associated with Snoezelen. This is why this thesis is dedicated to a qualitative study of the use of Snoezelen in a special pedagogical institution. This Thesis aims to analyse literary sources to comprehensively characterize problems of autistic spectrum disorders and to outline the principles, benefits and requirements of Snoezelen. Subsequently, using a qualitative survey, describe coherently the way in which Snoezelen is practiced to children with autistic spectrum in a particular special pedagogical institution, evaluate this way and recommend possible improvements. Team cooperation in the education of pupils with special educational needs

The diploma thesis focuses on the theme of cooperation and communication that takes place in schools as part of the education of pupils with special educational needs. This thesis is divided into two main parts. In the first part, the author draws on theoretical knowledge and, based on the work with the available literature, she prepares three main areas related to the topic. This first area focusing on special educational needs with a more detailed description of the most common support measures - individual educational plan and teacher assistant. Another area deals with counseling outside and within the school, including counselors. The conclusion of the first part is devoted to general and pedagogical communication. The first theoretical part is gassing, the empirical part follows. At the beginning of the empirical part are described the used research methods and the choice of the research sample. The following is a description of the functioning of the education of pupils with specific educational needs at a selected elementary school in the Central Bohemian Region. Domestic violence and its impact on child

Bachelor Thesis focuses on the issue of domestic violence and it is impact on a child. The work contains theoretical and practical part. The first chapter in a theoretical part in general, domestic violence, it is causes, consequences, and the identification of the problem. In the next chapter, the victim is characterised by a violent person and all persons who may become victims of domestic violence. The attention of tormented, abused and neglected child. It is definition, speeches, forms, causes and consequences. The last chapter of the theoretical part of the assistance to persons at risk of domestic violence prevention, intervention centres and legal framework of domestic violence in the Czech Republic. The practical part is realized as quantitative research. The research is based on the method of questionnaire which was sent to the general public in electronic form. Secondary education of mentally handicapped pupils in practical schools

The diploma thesis contains in the theoretical part a discussion about the importance of education of pupils with moderate mental disabilities, defines persons with mental disabilities, presents their characteristic peculiarities in relation to their education at the level of secondary education. It describes the Framework Educational Programs for practical schools with one- year and two-year training. The exploratory part focuses on monitoring secondary education of pupils in practical schools in the Central Bohemian Region. The main aim of the survey was to find out the possibilities of employment of graduates of practical schools after graduation.
Education of foreigners

The bachelor thesis deals with the teaching of foreigners. It aims to characterize pupils with a different mother tongue, the possibilities of support and a specific methodology of work with these students. The thesis deals with the definition of basic concepts, i.e. the concept of migration, inclusion, and approximation of the issue of foreigners' education. It further clarifies the current view of foreigners in the Czech Republic and non-profit organizations dealing with their support. The main part of the thesis focuses on the characteristics of pupils with a different mother tongue, the legislation and the financing of their studies. The next part concerns the inclusion and definition of individual steps of support measures that allow pupils to foreigners, for example, the use of language classes or courses of the Czech language. In practical cases, the bachelor thesis describes the possibilities of the methodology of working with pupils of foreigners and points out possible shortcomings in the current system. Support measures for pupils with communication disorder in inclusive education in elementary school

The thesis deals with effectivity of support programmes in inclusive primary education. In recent years, inclusive education is a frequent topic throughout our society. Providing the support programmes leads to increasing quality of education and ensuring equal conditions. The target group of the thesis consists of pupils with communication disabilities. The thesis aims to gather relevant data about given problems. The main objective is to evaluate the effectivity of support programmes on the pupils with communication disabilities. The partial task is to find out which support programmes are used most often by the primary schools. Quality approach was used to fulfil the objectives mentioned above and semistructured interview as a method of data collection. Interviews with pedagogical workers, who educate pupils with communication disabilities, were broadened and verified by analysing relevant documents. Gathered data were processed into ten case studies. Results of the research are rather positive - they point out meaningfulness, usefulness and regular using of support programmes during lessons. The pupils improve, and so their self-confidence grows accordingly. The research proves using several support programmes at once.
