The theme of my thesis is entitled "Effect of reminiscence therapy on the adaptation process in a residential facility Seniors Center Melnik". The aim of this thesis is to determine whether reminiscence therapy has a positive effect on the adaptation process. The text deals with the many terms that relate to the topic. The first deals with terms associated with aging, old age and signs and deals with social services for seniors, residential facilities, adaptation process and reminiscence therapy. The last section is devoted residential facility center for the elderly Melnik. Implementatiton of international human rights standards in the field of human trafficking for labour exploitation in the Czech Republic

Trafficking in human beings is considered to be one of the most serious crimes in which there is a significant violation of fundamental human rights. Through recommendations and binding documents, international organisations call on states to prevent human trafficking, and if it occurs, to allow for the settlement of human rights of its victims. National governments are responsible for compliance with human rights commitments, not only on the level of policy formulation, but also in terms of their implementation in practice. However, experience of social work with trafficked persons in the Czech Republic shows that victims of this serious crime have no access to settlement of their rights. The aim of this paper was to evaluate whether the Czech Republic meets the selected human rights standards that ensure the victims' access to their rights. The evaluation of the situation was based on the selected criteria defining the meeting of individual human rights standards of the Aim for Human Rights organisation. Fulfilling the selected criteria was examined on the case of proceeding of state authorities in the case of exploitation of hundreds of foreign workers in the forestry industry, known as the "Stromkaři" (Tree Workers) case. This thesis deals with the protection of human rights of seniors in residential social institutions. The thesis describes the development of social care of the elderly people. The importance of the law on social services, social services quality standards and related quality of social services and its control are stressed. The thesis is further focused on experience in protecting the rights of older people in residential facilities. The Role of the Social-Legal Child Protection Authority in Kinship Foster Care

Bachelor thesis with the title "The role of the social-legal child protection authority in kinship foster care" aims to determine what is the role (or how cooperates) of the social-legal child protection authority (OSPOD) during the work with foster parents and what are its possible competence in this issue. The thesis is divided into four chapters. The first one defines the basic concepts of this issue, e. g. the social work and the social worker, child, foster parent, foster care and social-legal child protection. The second chapter deals with legislation, which is closely related to foster care in the Czech Republic. I also mention other laws, which are related to this issue. The core of my thesis is mainly in the third and the fourth chapter, where I try to explain what the role of social worker of the social-legal child protection authority in foster care is about. In the third chapter I introduce various forms of foster care, with particular focus on one of them - kinship foster care, including its specifications. The fourth chapter is focused on assistant role of the social-legal child protection authority and its cooperation with foster parents in foster care. The Role of Non-Profit Institution Social Worker in Attending of Foster Families

This bachelor thesis titled "The role of non-profit institution social worker in attending of foster families" describes social worker operating procedure in attending of foster families. My writing is divided into five chapters. In the first chapter I presented basic terms which concern described theme: social work, social worker, non-profit institution worker (so called empowered person), foster parent, non-profit institution etc. Next chapter deals with the matter from the legislative point of view of both Czech and a foreign legal code. Particular ways of the foster care are described in the following chapter. The core and goal of this bachelor thesis is described in the fourth chapter "Cooperation an empowered person and a foster parent" and also in the fifth chapter "Selected methods and activities of a non-profit institution worker in attending of foster families". Besides description of particular methods and activities of a non-profit institution social worker in attending of foster families, the final chapter describes a foster care performing agreement which lays the foundations for a non-profit institution social worker. Involvement of Horticultural Therapy in the Process of Coordinated Rehabilitation Provided to People with Disabilities

The bachelor thesis Involvement of horticultural therapy in the process of coordinated rehabilitation provided to people with disabilities in the first place defines a concept of the person with disabilities in the context of biopsychosocial view. Consequently the coordinated rehabilitation, its history and specific processes and means are presented - e.g. medical, pedagogical, social and vocational rehabilitation. Further the thesis focuses on the horticultural therapy as an auxiliary method to the process of coordinated rehabilitation provided to people with disabilities. The key concepts of horticultural therapy are defined in thesis - history, benefits and targets, garden therapist, therapeutic garden and individual approach. In the resulting part, the examples from workplaces, where the horticultural therapy is applied during the rehabilitation in the coincidence with the means of rehabilitation, are demonstrated. The bachelor thesis introduces the role of medical-social worker/social worker during the process of planned release of geriatric senior from medical department. It results from demographic prognosis that the number of seniors in higher age will grow up constantly. Therefore the connection between social and medical area is important to ensure a quality and dignified style of life. The subject of geriatrics specialized in ill senior as a person with biological, psychological and social peculiarities. Health and social worker, who is a member of geriatric team, assists in ensuring this style of life by planning the process of release from medical department to senior's natural environment. The worker involves in this process senior's family and he applies his knowledge of social services, attitudes and methods of social work. Socially Excluded Locality Šindelna

The thesis tackles the issue of social exclusion looking namely on socially excluded localities and characterises their signature features. It presents the history and evolution of social exclusion, its dimensions and factors which influence the exclusion either from inside or outside. It shows which problems socially excluded people face. It introduces the Agency for social inclusion in gipsy localities which acts as the inclusion tool of the government of Czech Republic. The main goal is to proof the hypothesis that the particularly chosen locality is socially excluded and that this exclusion is deepened. In the empiric part there is described the city of Jindřichův Hradec in which the particular socially excluded locality is situated. Further in the thesis the conclusions from the theoretical part are applied on that locality called Šindelna. In the end of this paper there is a comparison of characteristic features socially segregated localities with the features of the chosen locality. In the final discussion the possible solutions are presented that would help dealing with the social exclusion of Šindelna residents. Powered by TCPDF (

This bachelor's thesis occupies with evaluation of a child's situation in a family facing cumulated problems and also with methods and procedures of these evaluations being mostly used in Czech Republic. The evaluation process itself is described from the point of view of a non-profit association STŘEP's social field worker dealing with a specific family. The thesis describes related rules of the work with this family and consequent evaluation of obtained data for further support of the family among other involved social organizations. The theoretical part is determined by the basic definitions related to youth and offenders. Further defines a person of a probation officer for children and young people, content the profession and the use of methods of social work. On the basis of qualitative research is to develop a practical part, which consists of case studies for young people who are in a difficult life situation in which they are trying to help a social worker for children and youth.
