Effect of Ferrite Nanoparticles on the Thermal Exposure of Biological Tissue Phantom by Microwave Thermotherapy
Fišer, Ivan ; Vorlíček, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Vrba, David (referee)
Goal of this master thesis is describe effect of ferrite nanopartickles FeSi and FeH on the thermal exposure of biological tissue phantom by microwave Thermotherapy. Blank samples and the samples with increased concentration nanopartickles FeSi and FeH were prepared. Exposition was performed by open cavity resonator with 2, 45 GHz generator. Temperature profiles were taken by thermocamera Flir P25. Results of both types of samples were compared and were statistically interpreted. Agar samples with nanopartickles FeSi and FeH show higher increase of temperature, than blank samples. The differences are not statistically significant. Keywords: Microwave thermotherapy, nanopartickles

Vedoucí závěrečné práce Vorlíček, Jaroslav, Ing. Abstract: Current development of mobile telecommunication device increases interest of public to the question of influence of electromagnetic field to the living organisms. Results of this work contribute to better knowledge of interaction between electromagnetic field and cell structures. Beginning of the thesis is review of morphology and physiology of the yeast cell that was used in this work as a tested organism. Second chapter describe the basic facts about electromagnetic fiend and wireless energy transfer. Goal of the practical part of this master thesis is describe influence of electromagnetic field on population of yeast during their proliferation. We constructed special box connected with wireless energy generator that was source of exactly defined electromagnetic field. Cells of Saccharomyces cerevisiae were diluted in fluid medium YPD and the proliferation of the culture was...
Planar microwave applicator for local thermotherapy
Kosík, Jaroslav ; Hozman, Jiří (referee) ; Vorlíček, Jaroslav (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design, construction and evaluation of planar applicator for microwave thermotherapy in the shape of a double Archimedean spiral. Furthermore, this thesis brings the basic concept of thermotherapy as a suitable method for supportive treatment in oncology as well as in the medical thermotherapy.
Complex Permittivity Measurement of Biological Tissue
Vorlíček, Jaroslav ; Hozman, Jiří (referee) ; Oppl, Ladislav (advisor)
This thesis deals with the measurement of complex permittivity of biological tissue as the default precondition for the design of thermo-therapeutic microwave applicators for hyperthermia oncology treatment, when for the valid simulations of electromagnetic field is necessary to know the dielectric parameters of the environment. There are described different approaches to measure complex permittivity, in particular the non-invasive method of measuring complex permittivity at the end of the coaxial cable. For this purpose two measuring probes have been designed, constructed and tested. The first one based on N-connector and the second based on the SMA-connector. Simulations of the probe's models were simulated in program SEMCAD 14 and double checked by CST MICROWAVE STUDIO 2009. The possibilities of measuring complex permittivity of biological tissue as a potential diagnostic imaging method are also discussed. Measurements in order to demonstrate the diagnostic potential of this method were first conducted on artificially created non-homogeneous agar phantom with added mixture of various dielectrics, followed by measurement of biological tissue in vivo.
Bank stress testing
Vorlíček, Jaroslav ; Blahová, Naděžda (advisor) ; Brada, Jaroslav (referee)
This thesis deals with stress testing of the banking sector. Stress tests are a set of analytical tools used to test the resilience and financial stability of the banking sector. At the beginning of the work financial stability and systemic risk impact not only in the form of sys-temically important financial institutions are discussed. Followed by a chapter on stress tests, which describes historic development of stress testing approaches to testing of individual banking risks and their implementation in the form of stress testing. Stress testing methodo-logy is described primarily from the perspective of the Czech National Bank, the importance of banking regulation and supervision in Basel III is also presented. In the final chapter of the thesis there are commented results of Czech National Bank's stress tests, and EU wide stress tests 2014, launched in cooperation with European Banking Authority, European Central Bank and the European Systemic Risk Board.
