Urban study of developing area Dolní Vítkovice
Vlach, Jan ; Kopáčik, Gabriel (referee) ; Sátora, Josef (advisor)
The object of this Thesis is an area adjacent to European heritage site of Dolni Vitkovice, in the city of Ostrava, Moravian-Silesian Region. This work focuses on making the area more accessible by all means of transportation, overcoming natural and man-made barriers as well as exploring the possibility of dense development on the site while maintaining its industrial identity. All that in context of otherwise slowly shrinking post-industrial city with aging and declining urban population.
3D Racing Game
Vlach, Jan ; Milet, Tomáš (referee) ; Tóth, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on desing and implementation of 3D racing game with graphical effects. The goal of this thesis is to create a racing game with the help of particle emitors. For collision detection is used Bullet physics library. Because of it, all players react to other scene objects. Terrain is generated from height map and supports multitexturing technique, which allows for multiple textures to be applied to terrain's surface. Game's racing track is defined by collision map. In thesis, there is an emphasis on creating editor for easy map creation and editation. Editor allows for drawing Kochanek-Bartels splines, which are then used to determine the movement of the oponents.
Protection of child labour - children's performance in artistic, cultural, sports or advertising activities
Vlach, Jan ; Štangová, Věra (advisor) ; Vysokajová, Margerita (referee)
The topic of this thesis is "Protection of child labour - children's performance in artistic, cultural, sports or advertising activities". The first part of this thesis presents the historical excursion to the evolution of the legislation of the child labour in the Czech countries. The first rules on the protection of children at work were adopted already at the end of the 18th century, hovewer the greatest development came during the 19th century and in the days of the "First Republic". Since 1966, the regulation of the child labour was set in the Labour Code no. 65/1965 Coll., where endured (even after the adoption of the new Labour Code no. 262/2006 Coll.), until the adoption of the Civil Code no. 89/2012 Coll. The second part is focused on the international aspect of the protection of the child labour. At the global level, the United Nations and its Specialized Agencies and Programmes, such as the International Labour Organization and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) take the important part. Thanks to these institutions several key documents, such as The Convention on the Rights of the Child, 1989, ILO Convention No. 138 on the Minimum Age for Admission to Employment and Work, 1973, and ILO Convention No. 182 on the Worst Forms of Child Labour, 1999, have been adopted. Beside the...
The role of iridescent and UV reflectant coloration patterns in beetles (Coleoptera)
Vlach, Jan ; Šípek, Petr (advisor) ; Pecháček, Pavel (referee)
The bachelor thesis deals with the role of iridescent and UV reflectant coloration patterns in beetles (Coleoptera). The thesis is divided into two main parts. The first part describes in detail the different types of iridescent and UV reflectant coloration patterns, it deals with the physical origines of coloration and finally it presents examples of beetle species, which possess this types of coloration. The second part deals with the functional perspective of iridescent and UV reflectant coloration patterns. The coloration function is divided into visual and nonvisual part. The part dealing with visual function is focused on interspecific and intraspecific communication, while the part dealing with nonvisial function describes thermoregulation and mechanical function of coloration. Production technology of a part
Vlach, Jan ; Kolář, Ladislav (referee) ; Osička, Karel (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor’s thesis is to suggest a suitable technological process of producing the given piece. This piece is the bottom shaping piece of an injection molding form, which is further used in producing plastic cartridges for the electrotechnical industry. Milling and drilling methods will be used in production. The technological processes will take place on a console milling machine and a CNC milling machine, for which an NC program is made using WORK NC software. One the basis of the manufacturing of the given piece and analysis of the machining times; a technological procedure including recommendations for improvement is chose.
Methods and Applications of Eye Blink Detection with Digital Image Processing
Vlach, Jan ; Rajmic, Pavel (advisor)
The thesis deals with eye blink detection, which is part of complex topic of face detection and recognition. The work intents on digital image processing. There is analyse of the topic and description of image databases for testing. Two main chapters describe design of eye blink detection with digital image processing with IR technology and without IR technology.
Acoustic Signal Pickup and Processing Using B Format Technology
Wiesner, Jakub ; Vlach, Jan (referee) ; Schimmel, Jiří (advisor)
The work is aimed to proposal of system for acoustic signal pickuping, software processing and conversion into signals for surround sound systems. The work describes sound sensation by human auditory organ and associated effects of binaural hearing and multichannel stereo and surround sound systems. Next aim of the work is to describe ambisonics, surround sound and formats for surround sound pickuping, transmission, processing a decoding. An ending part introduces problems of surround sound pickuping by using of SoundField technology and output signals decoding process of this technology into signals of other surround sound systems.
Estimation of Fundamental Speech Frequency
Ráček, Tomáš ; Vlach, Jan (referee) ; Vondra, Martin (advisor)
The Bachelor thesis focuses on algorithms with respect to estimation of fundamental speech frequency. First part is introduce to the questions of speech signals and the thesis at this point gives a clue what the core is going to be about. In the second part the nature of speech signal is explained, as well as the process of it’s creation by a person and models for speech generation. In the chapter 3 processing of acoustic signals are described, where pre-processing, segmentation and application of Hamming window on the same acoustic speech signal are included. The next chapter reports on pitch speech frequency signal as a physical magnitude and it's derivation from the pitch period. Furthermore describes, fundamental frequency creation in speech organs, scale range for different people, properties that carries and finally possibilities of it’s usage. Chapter 5 deals with essential principles defining pitch speech frequency in time, frequency and cepstral domain. Chapter 6 contains description of principles, used in situations, where the speech signal is devalued by noise. In the next chapter author describes design and implementation of selected principle. Furthermore, author presents results that have been achieved with this specific principle and compares them to the results of ordinary autocorrelation principle. The final chapter summarises the thesis and discusses about possible further part, extension or improvement of the algorithm.
Eye-blink detection
Jeništa, Petr ; Atassi, Hicham (referee) ; Vlach, Jan (advisor)
The merits of my Bachelor's Thesis is description of the theoretical principles of methods which are used for eye-blink detection. This work discribes methods for location of human face in a frame with the comlex background. The next principes of the work are different manners how we can find eyes in the frame and its sequential tracking. The last part is the eye analysis and the evaluation whether blinking went ahead or not. There are describes different intermedia which is used for processing of the numerical frame. At the close of the work is described the practical realization of some mentioned methods, thus the realization of algorithm which detects blinking eyes pair.
